A newly-formed Facebook group called Panda-fandom Worldwide is planning a panda fan convention for March 20-21 at the San Diego Zoo--home of the 5-month-old baby panda Yun Zi. This is the time of year when the bears come down to the river and try to catch the salmon as they're swimming upstream. Last year, I saw 17 bears at once standing at the foot of the falls!
