I'm not sure of the percentages, but there is apparently now bipartisan support to ban flights from Western Africa.

IMHO, there are still too many unknowns about this virus. Asked last week how long the virus can live on a hard surface such as a counter top or door knob, Dr. Anthony Fauci, former head of CDC, said, "We don't know." That was all I needed to hear.

Sorry but I agree that we should be shutting down travel from Africa.

The other bad thing is that anyone can come through the border, i.e. someone who has been exposed to someone with Ebola. They will come here any way they can to get treatment here because they stand a better chance.

Honestly, quarantine has worked well for curbing outbreaks of most anything and this one is really lethal if you manage to get it. Not enough medication and not enough anything for months including a vaccine.

I'd rather be safe than sorry. It could really take off here. You know how many people fail to wash their hands including doctors and nurses.

Look at the disease we have among patients in a hospital. I attribute that to letting children in who spread flu and colds.

My mother was in ICU for a stroke and they were letting little children, babies, etc. in and I was not happy at all. They have no business there. Those people in ICU are in often critical condition like my mother was.

Has anyone considered taking a court reporting course and learning to use a stenography machine? I've been looking into jobs doing closed capationing and I'm intrigued.
