I wonder who will be darker, Boehner or his new son-in-law, who is clearly black. I'll bet the Speaker just LOVES that. You know what's underneath that hat, don't you? A couple feet of dreadlocks!!! ROFLMBO!!!

*giggle, snort!* - Life is good.

[ In Reply To ..]
I love the hat and dreads!

I love the pic of Boehner at the brink of going into full - Tammy Faye mode!

[ In Reply To ..]
Priceless.

Why would he? - Mrs. Tingles

[ In Reply To ..]
I'm sure his stances on marijuana will remain the same. Just cos his daughter married him doesn't mean he'll change his position. In fact it will probably make him stronger in his viewpoints.

Wish the Boehner's well. There is no reason to think this is something to gloat about. Maybe the boy is very nice and they get along fine. Since you don't know the situation or them personally I would say your assumptions are just that.

I am sure you would be gloating if this were - Sasha or Malia

[ In Reply To ..]
just sayin

What is there to gloat about? That someone got married? - Sorry I'm already married and happy

[ In Reply To ..]
I don't care who is married. Just what exactly is it you are assuming I'm "gloating" about.

Pretty sure Obama's kids are too young to be married anyway.
Are you Mrs. Tingles? - She is the one who
[ In Reply To ..]
said people were gloating.
I am Mrs. Tingles, but I ran out of room to write that - I wanted to make a statement in my post
[ In Reply To ..]
When I used the word gloat it fit because that is what the poster was doing. There is nothing for me to gloat about, so the word doesn't work properly in the sentence.

Dont assume I dont know them - For all you know

[ In Reply To ..]
I could've been bong bearer at the wedding.

That's gross. And what political content does - your post have

[ In Reply To ..]
The answer would be none.
Political content: - 1) John Boehner
[ In Reply To ..]
2) Legalization of marijuana.
Face it, if this were Pelosi or Harry Reid's kid, this would be the lead story on Fox.

don't assume - whaddyaknow

[ In Reply To ..]
No wonder he's always in such a foul mood.

change his mind - stranger-things

[ In Reply To ..]
Don't know about legalizing the wacky tabaccy but apparently he is on board with growing hemp :-)

just my opinion, but... - ...

[ In Reply To ..]
I don't believe it's fair, in the political sense, to make fun of Boehner for his daughter's choices.

Further, I don't believe it's relevant, in the social sense, to make judgments about individuals who are found to have 2 grams of marijuana.

Plus don't forget that children are really supposed to be off limits - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
Doesn't matter what politician, they should ALL be off limits.

Evidently, some here don't like mixed marriages, yet will get behind legalizing marijuana and same-sex marriages, 'nough said.

What are you talking about, some don't like - mixed marriages?

[ In Reply To ..]
The talk is about the irony of his stance on pot and his new son-in-law having legal charges regarding pot. What does that have to do with mixed marriages?
Irony - and sense of humor
[ In Reply To ..]
don't fly in this crowd of uptight righty tightys

Excuse me? I DO love the hat and the dreads. - That's my post.
[ In Reply To ..]
I wasn't being sarcastic when I said that, Truthhurts.

The giggle and snort were at the irony of the marijuana subject. I thought that was pretty obvious.
What does bong-bearer have to do with mixed - marriage?
[ In Reply To ..]
???

It has to do with POT.
The only person who is making this - about mixed marriage is
[ In Reply To ..]
truthhurts. I am the OP and my post was about the irony of the staunch Boehner stand on marijuana and his new SIL. Wondered if the new SIL might change Boehner's mind. I have mixed marriage grandkids, and I certainly wasn't saying ANYTHING about mixed marriages.

I liked your post - sm

until I opened it. I'm a lib who spoke up for Boehner here. I don't care for taking swipes at politicians because of family issues. That said, this thread has nothing to do with "mixed" marriages. Nuff said, I guess.

Home Of The BoehnerFeb 06, 2012
News in from Ohio, the home state of the Boehner.  Apparently the republ guvinator, the self-same fella whose first act in office was ramming through a union busting law (which was later overwhelmingly swatted down by the voters) decided he was going to give his State O' The State address in a small town (302 miles round trip) instead of the state capitol.  He claims it will add no cost.  Guess he doesnt consider satellite equipment and the cost and time of all the LEGISLATOR ...

BOEHNER BLINKSOct 10, 2013
I hope the blowback to the GOP is like a death knell to the party.  You don't try to score political points on the backs of those who are hurt in a partial shutdown - ordinary hardworking people from all party affiliations. I guess they thought this was THE ONLY way to get the president to negotiate, but I don't think that's true.  It's because they tried to tie OBAMACARE to the vote - he was willing to negotiate anything else. Here is the unavoidable truth: NO ON ...

Boehner A Traitor?Jan 23, 2015
I think it absolutely dead wrong that he invited Netanyahu without consulting the White House.  Seems now it is being reported that there is great opposition in Israel for Netanyahu to go to speak before Congress also.  It is thought that Netanyahu had a hand in prompting this "speech" before Congress to promote himself in the elections in Israel. I think Netanyahu will back out.  At least we won't have to try Boehner as a traitor then.  That would just be mes ...

Boehner Is Becoming Invincible--they Won'tOct 10, 2015
Boehner insists he wants to leave as scheduled at the end of October, but if Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., won't agree to replace him, it may take a while for a consensus to form around an alternative. "While we go through this process, we've got to continue to address the people's priorities. This institution cannot grind to a halt," Boehner told Republicans Friday morning in a closed-door session. "It is my hope — and indeed it is my plan — for this House to elect a new speaker ...

Great Article On Boehner By BBCOct 08, 2013
"On a very simple level, the closing of most of the American federal government can be pinned on the ambitions of one man, Speaker of the House John Boehner. ... This Congress is held in the lowest public esteem since the invention of public opinion polls. And the Republicans are more disliked than the Democrats. Once seen as a skilled dealmaker, Mr Boehner isn't able to make deals. Never seen as an ideologue, he has now relinquished control of the Republican policy agenda to the party&# ...

Boehner Signs Up For ObamacareNov 23, 2013
Boehner tried to vote out Obamacare over 46 times and now he has signed up in 1 day. Article for LA Times: By Michael Hiltzik November 22, 2013, 3:54 p.m. In the latest attempt by congressional Republicans to make theatrical hay out of the Affordable Care Act without actually trying to make it any better, House Speaker John A. Watching the "opening" ceremonies. Boehner looks ill, irritated, like he might cry (that's sort of normal), but he doesn't look right. I guess he might just be irritated with Pelosi. The GOP Is Imploding--I Hope BoehnerSep 26, 2015
I’m predicting that if Republicans don’t win the presidency next year, all hell is going to break loose within the GOP – especially if Jeb Bush wins the nomination (which I’m still predicting he does). If that happens, I believe we’re going to see a “war” between the moderates claiming Republicans have to start being more inclusive to other demographics of voters, while the tea party conservatives are going to claim that the GOP keeps losing because they’re not running “real co ...

Boehner And Pelosi Are Still The Leaders Of The HouseJan 03, 2013

Boehner Tells House G.O.P. To Fall In LineNov 11, 2012
From the NY Times: "On a conference call with House Republicans a day after the party’s electoral battering last week, Speaker John A. Boehner dished out some bitter medicine, and for the first time in the 112th Congress, most members took their dose. Their party lost, badly, Mr. Boehner said, and while Republicans would still control the House and would continue to staunchly oppose tax rate increases as Congress grapples with the impending fiscal battle, they had to avoid the n ...
