T-Party Express is gearing up!

On the bright side, it should make the 2016 elections a lot brighter for Democrats, if that were to be the case.

Ah the game is afoot! Your assessment is true, - but the eGOP will never pick a

conservative (Tea Party) candidate. It's just not going to happen.

Boehner is also vindictive if you cross shim, just like Obama. We'll see what kind of damage he does before he leaves.

This is great news! My vote is for Trey Gowdy! - Right-Winger

I had hope for Boehner, but I believe he has been ineffective. I vote for Trey Gowdy to replace him!!!

I'm afraid it will be another RINO, different suit. - Sounds like it might be Kevin McCarthy.

Nothing about their qualifications. Just the way they look - Typical - sm

You just proved everything my DH and I have talked about for so long as we see his lib family do. Can't say anything about their qualifications or whether they are or are not qualified, just attack someone because of the way they look.

Liberals of all people should not be attacking the way someone looks, especially since they all look like they have either one too many or one too few chromosones.

They're all repressive extremists. Instead, - we should vote them all out of Congress.

Of course, he will likely be replaced with someone even worse. At least they hopefully won't be quite as ugly.

Yay, the leftist is gone - Woohoo...lets party - Everybody Wang Chung tonight.

Bout time the rogue democrat is gone.

Everybody have fun tonight.
Everybody Wang Chung tonight.

This conservative is pretty excited (if you can't tell).

Have a great weekend everyone. I know I will.

Boehner Is Still House SpeakerJan 06, 2015
Watching the "opening" ceremonies. Boehner looks ill, irritated, like he might cry (that's sort of normal), but he doesn't look right. I guess he might just be irritated with Pelosi. He really needs to get a grip. He survived the challenge. Seems some of the Tea Party broke ranks and didn't support him. ...

Has Speaker Boehner Turned A Page ToNov 07, 2012
"Mr President, this is your moment.  We want you to lead."  He's calling on him to "make good on a balanced approach."  "Lets find the common ground that has eluded us."  He messaged a willingness to consider higher taxes as part of a tax code overhaul "under the right conditions."  He then turned around and referenced past budget talks he had with the president, who Boehner said "endorsed the idea of tax reform and lower rates, including the top rate of lower than ...

Speaker Boehner Won't Try To Repeal Obamacare, HoldingNov 09, 2012
and this is a BIG but, he's abandoning the dysfunctional supply-side feed-the-rich economic plan Romney was running on. You know, the one from the Reagan and W eras that cost most of us bitterly while making a few very happy? Boehner also says he's willing to raise taxes and broaden the tax base (remember the no-tax-increase pledge almost all pubs had to sign?), so this is another good sign that we'll be able to pay some bills and speed up that economic recovery.  Speaker B ...

Speaker Boehner Chooses The Moderate Pub Ripon Society To Say He Believes This AdministrationJan 24, 2013
It was on camera, so he wasn't speaking for their reaction so much as far beyond. Good thing. It's hardly secret that Obama is hoping to fracture the recalcitrant GOP base in the House that's devoted to obstructing absolutely anything and everything he attempts, but pure nonsense that he doesn't hope this will free the rest of the GOP House to get back to work. If he succeeds, he'll be their hero. Here's Wikipedia's take on the Ripon Society:  "The  ...

John Boehner Says GOP Will Move Forward With Plan That Could Risk DHS ShutdownJan 08, 2015
After gunmen attacked a satirical French newspaper on Wednesday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Republicans won't back away from a fight over immigration that risks halting funding for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. "I believe that the president's executive actions with regard to immigration are outside of the Constitution and outside of his powers, and I believe that we can deal with that issue in the Department of Homeland Security bill without jeopard ...

Boehner And Pelosi Are Still The Leaders Of The HouseJan 03, 2013
Boehner had 220 votes, Pelosi 192, and 15 voted either for someone else (Alan West, Colin Powell, themselves, or voted present).  Some of the 113th weren't there. I don't know if they were new to Congress or not. I'm not as familiar with the House reps, but they called their names a few times and those reps didn't answer. So don't know what went on there. ...

Boehner Tells House G.O.P. To Fall In LineNov 11, 2012
From the NY Times: "On a conference call with House Republicans a day after the party’s electoral battering last week, Speaker John A. Boehner dished out some bitter medicine, and for the first time in the 112th Congress, most members took their dose. Their party lost, badly, Mr. Boehner said, and while Republicans would still control the House and would continue to staunchly oppose tax rate increases as Congress grapples with the impending fiscal battle, they had to avoid the n ...

House Committee Purge May Continue As Boehner Tightens GripDec 06, 2012
Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner's purge of some dissident Republican congressmen from key committees may continue as he seeks to tighten control over his unruly caucus ahead of difficult votes on "fiscal cliff" issues. House Republican lawmakers said on Wednesday that in addition to the four conservatives who were stripped of their committee assignments earlier this week, other unnamed lawmakers were warned that their votes need to be more in line with par ...

Boehner's Support For His Plan B Collapses, So Closes House For Holidays And Leaves,Dec 21, 2012
After the tea partiers who said they were behind him on his Plan B in the morning backed out later in the day, Speaker Boehner closed the House for the holidays. This all happened so fast they were literally wheeling in carts of food for a late night of lawmaking work when the House abruptly adjourned and they all walked out without voting on their own measure. He must be bitterly disappointed. As someone said, "Every time this guy takes a foot forward, he gets slammed in the back of the head ...

Woman who tortured, killed man was featured speaker at Women's March Among the speakers at the Women’s March on Washington was feminist activist Donna Hylton. In 1985, Hylton was convicted in a New York court for her participation in the violent abduction, torture, and murder of Thomas Vigliarolo, a 60-year-old real estate broker. She is in demand on college campuses and elsewhere to speak about life in prison, and on her feminist perspective. Her website does not mention her co ...

House Leaders Plan Separate House VoteMar 20, 2010
Democrats edged closer to finding 216 lawmakers to back a landmark health-care bill Saturday, as party leaders and White House officials were working on an executive order that they hope will win over a substantial number of antiabortion Democrats. The House Rules Committee continued its session on the third floor of the Capitol, where the panel is tasked with setting the terms of Sunday's floor debate. House leaders have decided to take a separate vote on the Senate version of the healt ...

News in from Ohio, the home state of the Boehner.  Apparently the republ guvinator, the self-same fella whose first act in office was ramming through a union busting law (which was later overwhelmingly swatted down by the voters) decided he was going to give his State O' The State address in a small town (302 miles round trip) instead of the state capitol.  He claims it will add no cost.  Guess he doesnt consider satellite equipment and the cost and time of all the LEGISLATOR ...

BOEHNER BLINKSOct 10, 2013
I hope the blowback to the GOP is like a death knell to the party.  You don't try to score political points on the backs of those who are hurt in a partial shutdown - ordinary hardworking people from all party affiliations. I guess they thought this was THE ONLY way to get the president to negotiate, but I don't think that's true.  It's because they tried to tie OBAMACARE to the vote - he was willing to negotiate anything else. Here is the unavoidable truth: NO ON ...

Boehner A Traitor?Jan 23, 2015
I think it absolutely dead wrong that he invited Netanyahu without consulting the White House.  Seems now it is being reported that there is great opposition in Israel for Netanyahu to go to speak before Congress also.  It is thought that Netanyahu had a hand in prompting this "speech" before Congress to promote himself in the elections in Israel. I think Netanyahu will back out.  At least we won't have to try Boehner as a traitor then.  That would just be mes ...

Boehner Is Becoming Invincible--they Won'tOct 10, 2015
Boehner insists he wants to leave as scheduled at the end of October, but if Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., won't agree to replace him, it may take a while for a consensus to form around an alternative. "While we go through this process, we've got to continue to address the people's priorities. This institution cannot grind to a halt," Boehner told Republicans Friday morning in a closed-door session. "It is my hope — and indeed it is my plan — for this House to elect a new speaker ...

Great Article On Boehner By BBCOct 08, 2013
"On a very simple level, the closing of most of the American federal government can be pinned on the ambitions of one man, Speaker of the House John Boehner. ... This Congress is held in the lowest public esteem since the invention of public opinion polls. And the Republicans are more disliked than the Democrats. Once seen as a skilled dealmaker, Mr Boehner isn't able to make deals. Never seen as an ideologue, he has now relinquished control of the Republican policy agenda to the party&# ...

Boehner Signs Up For ObamacareNov 23, 2013
Boehner tried to vote out Obamacare over 46 times and now he has signed up in 1 day. Article for LA Times: By Michael Hiltzik November 22, 2013, 3:54 p.m. In the latest attempt by congressional Republicans to make theatrical hay out of the Affordable Care Act without actually trying to make it any better, House Speaker John A.
