We need Governors who bring our country together, not tear us apart

Our country used to be bigger and better than this. I remember thinking back in about 2000 when I was at a big event that things had a different atmosphere, more hatred where we used to be able to disagree and still be friends. It was better recently, until these things happened this week. I'm discouraged and sad. I hope we can do better. I have people I love in both parties as well as Independents. We act like we're out there in the streets of _____(fill in the blank). I don't like it at all. In fact, I am nauseated right now and probably better stay away from conversations about these things, for my own health.

And what about the President instructing "his" Justice Department not to defend the DOMA in court anymore because he thinks it is unconstitutional...that is an existing law on the books. Gee, don't I remember him putting his hand on the Bible and swearing to uphold and defend the laws and constituion of the United States....? All he needs to do now is do away with Presidential term limits...oh wait...he should have done that while he still had the majority.
All those czars he appointed without congressional approval...unconstitutional. Funny how none of that bothers you, but one governor in one state in financial peril trying to fix his state WITHOUT raising taxes and you have apoplexy.
I understand that Democrats would rather raise taxes than eat when they're hungry but I think this reaction is really pretty extreme.
Maybe if we could round them all up into one close area and spray them with Prozac the might calm down a tad.
