Watching the debate yesterday on CSPAN, I was a bit surprised/shocked

One of the debaters (can't remember his name but a pub) asked BARBARA SLAUGHTER if he could have 15 SECONDS to finish his sentence when his time ran out. She refused vehemently! She was also very nasty to someone else last week.

Another pub wanted to introduce a bill and the grumblings started again from members. The gavel had to be wielded again to quiet the house.

Sheila Jackson Lee stated "Since this bill was passed, lives HAVE BEEN SAVED". How? Nothing has gone into effect yet. Everything is in limbo because of the glitches that were found.

Is this bipartisanship?

Oh, and the dems keep saying it's been 40 years of inaction for health care. It has not. I posted what little I was able to find in my limited time last night lower down on this board.

vandalism, cut gas lines, coffins displayed in opponents front yards, being spit on, racist and homophobic insults, harassment, heightened security, violence and death threats, things are a bit tense between the dem and pub members of Congress....ya think? She is pretty good at interrupting an "opponent" (her word) to argue with them. I posted that info to show that it's not just pubs acting out, it's both parties.

As for being spit on, being called racist and homophobic insults, that was NOT proven. It's the reps themselves stating that.

I get on here and post what I think is important, although once in a while, I get a wee bit disgusted with certain posters and try not to get involved in the pettiness. It would be nice if some of these websites that post untruths or violence against one party or another would retract untruths but that is a rare event, if not a fallacy in itself.

BTW,the coffin was not displayed in anyone's front yard. it was on the sidewalk and the group took it with them after they said prayers for the millions of babies (with the abortion clause), handicapped and elderly. This took place prior to the changes being made.

Funny thing, almost all of your accusations have been debunked. And how about Cantor's office being shot into? Did you know Rep. Lewis has actually admitted that he never even heard the N-word being said, even though he claimed he did? So doesn't that make him a liar?

Over 3000 death threats EACH year against President Bush, threats to blow up the white house, Obama thugs beating up black people, calling people the "n" word, spitting on people, shoving them down to the ground, objects thrown at President Bush, liar being yelled by democrat congress, insults, harassment, heightened security for Bush (even the Secret Service said they received more death threats towards President Bush than Obama).

You dems are sure showing the ugly side of your party, when you whine about what is going on and ignore that republicans have been attacked, etc. And then we find out that half the stuff you claim has happened actually has NOT happened. You certainly do a great disservice to the democratic party and the good people in the party. No wonder people are switching sides and going to vote them out this fall.

And SJL - Don't get me started on her lying rude --. I'm glad I didn't hear her say the comments of lives being saved since the bill was passed. Someone should have asked her, can you please provide the names of those people who were on death's door but once he signed the bill, they miraculously came back to life. Geez! was that because so many more people will have insurance that potential lives will be saved if any of those people become very ill, cancer, etc. They will now be able to get the care they need.
