Walmart to foot bill for food stamp spending spree

fiasco sparked by computer glitch - because they were supposed to stick to $50 limit per customer. Translation, Walmart will not foot the bill. Their customers and stock holders will. When I first saw the videos on this story, I thought somebody posted Mohammed in a bad light on You Tube again. ;
Everytime I go to Walmart, I pay for the woman - in front of me.

Thank goodness this breed of partisan animalship is in the minority. The up-side of the current crisis is that House repugs are insuring those types will STAY in the minority for the foreseeable future.

[ In Reply To ..]That's what they were buying. What it was was stealing, pure and simple. Especially the woman who only had 49 cents on her card but bought an enormous amount of food. Even I have never filled a cart to overflowing when I had plenty of cash to spend.
Yet to see some shoppers have 3-4 overflowing carts....well, you know something isn't kosher there. Some comments on various websites stated that they weren't just getting food for themselves. They were getting it to SELL.
I don't find it funny that these people were scamming the system. After all, they KNEW what their limits were and they probably knew how much they had left on their cards. That's why they abandoned those carts with the EBT system came back on line.
I hold Walmart responsible for giving approval to allow these purchases. Too bad the shareholders and shoppers will pay for this idiotic decision.

It does not hurt, but if I continue working for a few hours after it starts to swelll, it does get pretty uncomfortable. I do have periphera neuropathy from spinal stenosis which I think causes me to hold my toes in a different position because I can't feel the floor with the front part of my foot.
