Right Foot Pointing Outward

After about 26 years transcribing, the front of my right foot point outward, apparently from spending so many trillion hours using a foot pedal. Does anyone else experience this? Do you find it has caused knee or hip problems? Thanks.;
I've only used a keyboard..hot keys..can't relate...sm - Barb

[ In Reply To ..]I have been going to a chiropractor for years. This past year I started developing problems with the muscles in and around my knee. I use my right foot, and I believe the angle my leg is when using the pedal has contributed to my problem (same thing for long-distance driving using cruise control). I make a point of getting up every 1/2 hour to stretch the muscle and it has made a big difference.
If your leg is that turned out, I would seriously consider the chiro route. I did 4 weeks of physio which included some acupuncture, but the best relief came from my chiropractor.

[ In Reply To ..]i had an awful 4-car accident many years ago in which my left arm went out the window and really messed up my left shoulder...a masseuse told me to lower my seat at work to lowest position and put the keyboard on my lap and work barefoot or not in shoes so i can feel the pedal better and not strain...thought he was nuts...but after 36 years of transcription, i do not have carpal tunnel or any other problems musculoskeletal wise and my shoulders do not get so weary, and the closer to the foot pedal, the less you have to turn your foot!!!

The foot I use on the foot pedal is slightly swollen and the ball of the foot is so sore I'm limping. It helps to wear shoes with padding. I do have periphera neuropathy from spinal stenosis which I think causes me to hold my toes in a different position because I can't feel the floor with the front part of my foot.
