The price of failed leadership, by Mitt Romney (link)

Posted: Mar 18, 2014

This is what happens when you elect an inexperienced idealogue, a community organizer, to lead the country.

Hope this is a lesson to people, though it's too late for the near future.  Hopefully all this can be repaired, but it won't be done overnight.

funny. I can't read the article because you have to log in, but I get the gist of it. I will point out that if Obama had been more aggressive, ya'll would have called him a socialist bully or a wanna-be dictator. It is funny how no matter what he does, you find fault.

He is a weakling. He should have listened to Romney and Palin. - He's a laughingstock around the world.

nm

Oh, Yes, PALIN is the cornerstone of - leadership

[ In Reply To ..]
Palin - a beautiful woman with limited political experience who proved in a very very short amount of time that the best thing about her was her glasses - and she DID set off a frenzy of black-frame-wearing talking heads and "snews" anchors!
She had more experience than the organizer - and she was right about issues
[ In Reply To ..]
nm needed.
Yes, she most certainly did. She was spot on, and they - call HER stupid. Look at how o is behaving.
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
PALIN is not stupid - but she is just another - bought and paid for schill
[ In Reply To ..]
who is fortunately ignored for the most part...
I admire her. She knows her special needs child would need long-term care ... - me
[ In Reply To ..]
...and she has found a way to make sure Trig is provided for long after she is gone. She's marketing her brand for money. It's American as apple pie.
I totally agree. - NM

If Romney was so great, feel free to nominate him again.

I think he is still in shock that he could not buy the office...

Ding ding ding ding - Winner Winner

Yeah, Soros outspent him. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Obama was bought and paid for by a man who wants to ruin the United States. Soros wants a New World Order, or haven't you heard? And B.0. fit the bill to be his No. 1 Puppet.

That he does. I think of another P word when I - think of o with his red lines.

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

That's not what this is about. But hey...good brownie points - for using those buzz words

[ In Reply To ..]
Governor Romney has as much right to talk about the situation as Clinton or anyone else. He is stating the obvious.

As for buying the office, no, that was Soros and Obama who bought him the office.

Let's give Effie the benefit of the doubt. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
She may have misunderstood and didn't realize that Soros bought the presidency for Obama.
Romney still has enough.. - Effie
[ In Reply To ..]
Like I said, feel free to nominate Romney again. He can afford another run.
Proceed guv'ner - LOL - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
Not with all the money Soros is pouring into the dem party - Soros/crats will buy the position - Again
[ In Reply To ..]
Nice try, but no cigar. Nobody can outspend Soros and others. Romney's not that rich and last I heard he is not running again.
So, you are essentially agreeing - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
that Obama was bought and doesn't deserve the office of POTUS?
Why are you asking this - fishing?
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
No need to fish. - You answered the question.
[ In Reply To ..]
LOL
No I didn't. Trying to stir up trouble I see - I don't feed the trolls
[ In Reply To ..]
You proved yourself to be just that.

And the Koch Brothers and Karl Rove's PAC - sm

were just twiddling their thumbs????

What a great article!!! - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
After reading this article, I am sadly reminded of the real-time downfall of America. Romney would have ensured America's respect on the world stage in addition to getting us back on track domestically. I wish he would run again. He has been proven to be correct over and over again on so many levels.

I would really like to know - What was he proven correct on?

[ In Reply To ..]
I am curious as to what you feel he has been proven correct over and over again on so many levels, and also how he would have ensured our country's respect on the world stage and getting us back on track domestically. I don't want to read Mitt Romney's article, I am curious as to why you believe this.

Thanks!

Sorry, not taking the bait. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
The article is a good read. Don't discount it.
Since when is a legitimate question - baiting?
[ In Reply To ..]
Don't answer if you don't want to, but at the same time don't use a convenient excuse - and make an assumption in the process.

When I am critical of Obama, Bush, etc., it really is not a problem for me to elaborate, but that's just me ;)
It has all been documented. - It's just my opinion.
[ In Reply To ..]
What Romney has said and what he has predicted are all documented.

I have been drawn in (baited) by posters on this board in the past for the sake of argument, belittling, name calling, etc. I've made the decision that I'm not going to do that anymore. I'm just going to say my piece and be done with it. Sorry if you don't agree, but that's just me these days.
Well that's great - - you answered the question
[ In Reply To ..]
By declining to answer my simple question, you actually answered it ;)
You have proved my point. - Thank you!
[ In Reply To ..]
You were, in fact, baiting!
That's why I don't feed the trolls - They are trying to stir up trouble
[ In Reply To ..]
Presuming to tell other posters stuff the other posters never said.

I find it easier to just ignore them.
They really seem to be hungry lately. - Good advice. Thank you.
[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Could you elaborate a bit - in your own words?

[ In Reply To ..]
When you say 'this is what happens..."

what do you mean by 'this'? I am just trying to understand how in your mind (not mitt Romney's) the president is such a total failure.

you also say, "hopefully all this can be repaired" so also wondering what "all this" is...

Thanks!

What do you mean by "in your mind" - Another poster

[ In Reply To ..]
The OPs post was pretty clear. No explanation is needed.

I'm curious as to why you are asking the questions and throwing in "in your mind".

If you've been keeping up with the news and the events going on around the world then you would know what "This is what happens" and you would see the failures and the only way all this will be repaired is by elections.

Just curious. Trying to understand why you are asking these questions. Especially when you will just come back with "By declining to answer my question you actually answered it".

Where Is The Leadership?Oct 02, 2013
You can blame republicans or you can blame democrats or anyone you want but here is a very basic fact.  The president is supposed to be a LEADER.  That means his job is to LEAD with a steady hand, guide the congess to resolution and quell the turmoil.  This president is not providing leadership.   I say the blame starts at the top and flows from there.  One does not lead by simply saying "i will not negotiate" and walking away.  This president in failing in his most ...

Here We Go Again! Dems Want To Probe Alleged Gas Price FixingMay 17, 2011
Geez. Every time gas prices go through the roof, they want to investigate, and never find anything wrong, or else they lose interest and it never goes very far. Why do they insist on wasting time?
