Lately all you hear about is price of BCP's, but why is no one worried about gas??? I think this is something to really be worried about. So how will you deal with $5 a gallon gas this summer? Will this cut into your budget even more and effect your lifestyle? We know Obama is worried right now, because this will undoubtedly effect his plans for re-election. Where I live, people are worried about price of food, clothing, and other essentials of daily living. Those who commute long distances to work may have to weigh the benefits versus risks of holding onto their jobs and if they should relocate for sake of job or just stay put and hope for a miracle. Some people are predicting that $5 gallon gas will kill the already fragile economy. Last year we were worried about $4 gas and what would happen to economy. Hopefully the dire predictions will not come to pass; yet even those optimists are having a hard time seeing a bright future ahead.
;Whoa, take a breath. I'm not the OP, but I don't think the post mentioned anything about it being "Obama's fault." The poster was merely stating a fact that MANY people will have a hard time voting for Obama if the gas prices stay this high or go even higher. This administration (and others before) can play with the numbers all they want with umeployment numbers and such and tell us how things are looking up. Wasn't last summer billed as the "Summer of Recovery" by the administration? The number they can't play with is the price of gas and food (and other goods). The fact is that those numbers hit people hard and the Hope and Change folks should be very concerned about a second term.
I'm not sure how you tie in Andrew Brietbart to the price of gas, but the Obama administration does, in fact, have an effect on the free market. Not directly, but through policy. He has made it clear his disdain for oil, coal and nuclear power. I would love to run my car on cow farts, but I don't see that happening in my lifetime. And electric cars? That's really not working out as planned. I don't think the tree-huggers realize that the electricity has to come from somewhere and 98% of it comes from ... wait for it... coal.
