These people are dangerous. This is not your father's union, that's for sure. Since the Dems are so closely tied with the AFL-CIO and plan to spend $400 million to re-elect Obama, will anyone in the Democrat leadership condem this violent rhetoric? No, I doubt it.

Tuesday, over 2000 union protesters rolled into Springfield, IL, to protest Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, speaking at the Illinois Chamber of Commerce.

Once again they came to chant and sing, and chant and sing they did. It was a typical sea of matching t-shirts—a favored strategy of intimidation—along with their placards of “solidarity” and profane signs. They scattered four giant inflatable rats throughout the crowd, with a gargantuan cardboard cut out of Governor Scott Walker standing out, as well.

Presidents of the AFL-CIO, Michael T. Carrigan of Illinois and Phil Neuenfeldt of Wisconsin, got the crowd riled up, along with the help of Teresa Haley, President of the Springfield NAACP. But Pastor T. Ray McJunkins of the Union Baptist Church and President of the Faith Coalition for the Common Good and William McNary of USAction stole the show.

McJunkins delivered an energetic address he closed up metaphorically with the story of David and Goliath, ultimately declaring:

We are the Davids … and you may be a big giant, a big goliath, but David had 5 smooth stones that brought Goliath down … all he had was stones and a sling shot, and I just wonder out there among us, how many of you came with your sling today? … Load your slings up today when we leave here, putting a smooth stone of equal rights at the collective bargaining table and throw it at Goliath … And Goliath will come down, Scott Walker we send you back to Wisconsin as David did Goliath, we cut your head off and go back into town, singing a new song!

In addition to McJunkins' suggestion to behead Scott Walker, William McNary delivered the keynote speech. McNary is a longtime ally of the Communist Party U.S.A. and President Obama. McNary is the President of USAction, a self proclaimed “aggressive progressive” and a frequent speaker at left-wing Union events in Illinois and around the Midwest, including the Communist Party U.S.A.’s 2005 annual convention.

McNary lit up the crowd as he warned the unions to be prepared, “they are gonna call us names now … they are gonna say we are engaging in class warfare … they say this as they lower our wages and cut our benefits, were engaging in class warfare, they say this as they lay off workers and send jobs over seas, we’re engaging in class warfare … They got the nerve that we’re engaging in welfare[sic]? But I got a message for ‘em, the bully Scott Walker and all the bully governors across this country. We didn’t ask for this fight, we didn’t pick this fight, but if it’s a fight you want, it’s a fight you gonna get. Knuckle up! Knuckle up! Knuckle up!” he shouted to the roaring crowd.

Oddly enough, you would think Illinois union members may be more inclined to ask Scott Walker to come to Illinois and bring some of his policies with him. As AFP Illinois points out, “Wisconsin taxpayers still pay much more for healthcare benefits per state employee. WI taxpayers pay $13,972 per employee for healthcare, while Illinoisans pay $11,149 per employee,” and “Wisconsin's reforms prevented the layoff of thousands of government workers, while here in IL, Gov. Quinn is on track to lay off hundreds of government workers.” But thoughts like those don’t cross these unionists’ minds, and when they do, they are simply dismissed as lies.

Nothing beats a Tuesday morning in the sleepy state capitol of Illinois better than a “non-violent” group of unionists, collectivists and agitators expressing their grievances “peacefully.”

Mr. HERLONG. Mr. Speaker, Mrs. Patricia Nordman of De Land, Fla., is an ardent and articulate opponent of communism, and until recently published the De Land Courier, which she dedicated to the purpose of alerting the public to the dangers of communism in America.

At Mrs. Nordman's request, I include in the RECORD, under unanimous consent, the following "Current Communist Goals," which she identifies as an excerpt from "The Naked Communist," by Cleon Skousen:

1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament [by] the United States would be a demonstration of moral strength.

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the German question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the United States has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with all loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States. (Democratic party subverted)

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions. (liberal Mainstream media)

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms." (Modern Art)

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. "Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio, and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand [or treat].

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally reservation so the United States cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction [over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction] over nations and individuals alike.

I have posed the question many times, but I never got one single answer on this board. How do these libs think socialism/communism will enrich their lives? The entire structure of both of those "isms" is based solely on class warfare with the general public faring far worse than any other social structure. Socialism and commnism have never worked in the history of the world, has always collapsed upon itself, but not before the masses suffered horribly. There is something very off with those that think this works or their lives will be better under this rule.

I can only speak for myself, of course. When I read these posts, I shake my head and wonder where people get the idea that anybody that does not agree with far right conservatism thinks that communism will enrich their lives. It is right up there with the false claims that every Democrat/liberal is pro-abortion and that we all blindly follow President Obama and think he is the messiah. I,for one, cannot answer these questions because I think they are preposterous.

The worship of Mr. O is so obvious. People on this board worship him. He can do no wrong and they are not holding him responsible for his actions. If something wrong has been done it is always blame the other side or the previous president. I don't think I have ever read one post on this board where someone like yourself or a few other liberal posters that support Mr. O have ever come out and said. You know, what he said or did was wrong. Never once. I understand you support and like him. There were people who supported and liked Bush, but many always admitted he was wrong about this or that. Nothing with the democrats. I mean, cmon, really, NOBODY is that perfect, but the liberals are propping him up as though he is a god. Every word he says, every lie he tells, every move he makes, anything and everything is always perfect and if he has done something wrong its easier for the liberals not to come on and say this or that was wrong, but instead the first thing in a post is "well Bush did this or that" or "you should thank Bush for this or that". Of course, there are no posts where someone says that they "worship" Obama. I believe the right wingers need to feel that somehow they are superior when it comes to ability to think independently and make good decisions, and they make up things to describe other patriotic Americans (Democrats/liberals), such as socialist, communist, Marxist, Obama worshiper, etc., because they despise those of us who do not think the way they do.

Conservatives say President Obama is the great divider. In my opinion, they need to take a good look at themselves. Is it really the president who is the divider? I think not.

Keep shaking your head as you are misrepresenting my post as usual. No one, and certainly not I, ever said that if you did not agree with a conservative there was an automatic assumption communism would enrich their lives. I am not a "far right conservative". Please read and comprehend the entire post, and do not twist what is written by others, especially when you never ask posters what they believe, you just assume you know all about these complete strangers and what they believe.

The question was: How does someone think socialisomewhat/communism will enrich their lives? Not one socialist/communist on this board ever answered that question. They merely attack the questioner or twist the entire post. Socialism/communism does not benefit the masses and is designed to benefit only the political elite.

There are posters that have claimed to be avid supporters and believers of socialism and communism both. You have to cover several months of posts to see those that stated that affiliation. Unfortunately, they are all under sm and nm or SM, NM; so, it makes it more difficult to track the posts.

I appreciate your response, as well. I could list the monikers that were used that believed in these social structures; however, board rules prohibit that. There are 3 in particular that come to mind, and I have not seen their monikers on here for awhile. They may be posting, but obviously could be using some other name to do so. That way you would have been able to read the responses they posted regarding their support of a socialist and communist social structure.

Just to clear something up...My post was in direct response to a poster that continually follows me all over the board, misrepresenting my posts and attributing comments/beliefs to me that are not correct and usually very distorted.

I do appreciate your response. The only way to find out what someone believes or thinks is to ask them and let them answer in their own words without preconceived assumptions as to what they are thinking or going to answer. We are all complete strangers on this board, other than those that keep in touch off the board; so, to assume we have 100% knowledge of anyone else's thoughts or belief is not fair to them.

It is very apparent to me that you think you know enough about me to tell me what I assume and what I think. You do not. Also, I think you are kind of twisting what I said.

As for your assertion that I never ask posters what they believe, you are wrong. Look back at posts in the past few months. In fact, there was one written to you asking a question and there was no answer.

You also assume there are communists on this board. Of course, I cannot prove that there are or are not. I just think that perhaps Democrats/liberals (who are generally the ones accused of being the communists)perhaps do not attempt to answer the questions about socialism and communism because they are not communists.

This list was in a book written in 1958 (over 50 years ago at the height of the "Cold War") called "The Naked Communist". They were not written by democrat A.S. Herlong, Jr. He read them into the congressional record at the request of one of his constituants. Don't forget, this was only a few years after the McCarthy fiasco.

beneficial for employees. As my late father, who worked for GM over 30 years, used to say....unions are only beneficial for bad employees because you can't fire them because the unions won't let you. We see this in our schools. You can't fire a bad teacher. Screw the kids and their low test scores...that teacher has tenure and you can't fire him/her. Unions have become hurtful and because of the power they have attained throughout the years...they too have become corrupt. The thuggish behavior and the violent rhetoric that comes from union members are just amazing to me. Democrats are owned by unions. Every union meeting my brother attends for his job is nothing about work safety. It is all about cramming democratic candidates down the union members' throats and bad mouthing republicans. My brother made the mistake of disputing the praise they were giving to democrats...only to be threatened and told to shut up.

My father passed away this morning. He was in the nursing home and had been in the hosptial a week or so ago with respiratory distress. Got better and went back to the nursing home.
