Speaking of People Not To Respect

The whole story of the Ensign affair is disgusting enough, but the fact that Tom Coburn helped with the coverup and hasn't been kicked out of office just amazes me.

What exactly is Obama doing that makes you people froth at the mouth? - me

I don't get it.

Have you read what Ensign and Coburn were doing? It's pretty bad and probably criminal.

Open your eyes. The USA is in the toilet, and Obama - just keeps flushing us down.

Economy stinks, and he has made everything worse, not better, including his class warfare, race divisions, and "the Republicans are always picking on me" syndrome of his. I am sick to death of Obama. He is one depressing leader, and a fake on top of it.

I used to have horrible feelings about anyone from any other party. Now I feel that we are all Americans. Sure, we have different viewpoints and different opinions about how things should get done, but one thing is very different. I was screamed at and called "UnAmerican" (by Republican friends that I really like), when I expressed the opinion that I didn't think we should go to war against Iraq. I was called unAmerican when I said I don't believe in torture, whether it is done BY Americans or TO Americans. I was called UnAmerican because I didn't want our phone calls tapped, etc. I can't tell you how many insults I had thrown at me during the Bush Presidency. I really didn't like him. Now, I have kind feelings toward former President Bush. I'm working on having kind feelings toward his staff. I love his wife!

I also have kinder feelings toward my friends and family and those people who yelled at me during the last administration. I think this is a vast improvement. I hope it lasts on into the next administrations over the years.

Other countries have to yell at each other, fight it out on the streets, and destroy each other. We can disagree agreeably, argue it out, then go get a cup of coffee together. That's the American way.
Nice post - ~ thanks

I wasn't an Obama supporter, although I was also never violently opposed to him either. I don't expect any politician to be perfect, and he isn't and won't be. I have been very pleased that he has a slow, methodical approach to solving problems. It works. While I'll never be a 'fan' of any politician, I sure do like him now.

It's you people who are frothing at the mouth that everyone is not drooling over yours truly.

So, since you asked...lets see....
1. Unemployment on the rise.
2. Jobs continuing to go overseas.
3. Wall street continuing to get rich.
4. Beer Fest.
5. Throwing out the racist card on issues that have nothing to do with race.
6. Locking republicans out of meetings they need to be in.
7. Lying to the country during the SOU.
8. Trashing the people of this country to other countries.
9. BC-gate.
10. Calling people that don't belong to his "club" enemies (which is about half the country).

Oh yes, and my favorite new one. Not granting certain companies contracts until he know what political party they support. Ooooh, now that's a real nice one.

And those are just a few. Just don't have time to list them all and frankly you people don't care and prefer to go back and stick your head in the sand only coming out long enough to attack those who don't worship him like you people.
Those items are your interpretation but I sure don't agree with them - Not at all frothing
[ In Reply To ..]
To me your list sounds like a list made by someone who just hates anyone who is [a different color] [a different party] or [whatever it is that ticks you off about anyone who isn't just like you]
Here is another list.... - maybe you will like it
[ In Reply To ..]
better:

1. 14-trillion dollar deficit.
2. Proposed a 3-trillion dollar budget on top of that without cutting very little if any of existing spending.
3. Promised the most transparent administraiton in history - that has to be his biggest whopper.
4. Promised no lobbyists in his administration...google and you can find a list of the lobbyists in his administration.
5. Hired CEO of GE as an advisor...who made record profits last year, CEO made record salary while offshoring over half of the jobs in GE. This while Democrats are ranting and raving about CEOs making big bucks and offshoring.
6. Unconstitutionally got us involved in bombing Libya.

I could go on. But you get the picture. None of those things have anything to do with his color or his party. He is just a lousy President. Would be just as lousy if he was white and a Republican.
Nice try....not even close - see message
[ In Reply To ..]
Yeah, tell all the people losing their jobs under this administration that it's their "interpretation". It's a fact that unemployment is on the rise. It has risen from around 7.8% to over 10% (and the 10% is a way low figure. Here and back east where my family lives unemployment is at 14% and higher. That's not an "interpretation", those are facts that you can get from the government itself.

Unemployment has no color.
14 trillion deficit has no color.
Wall street getting richer has no color.
Not being truthful has no color.
All these issues we talk about are not racial issues. Get a clue.

If anyone is a racist it is you for suggesting that anyone who disagrees with the policies and other issues are racists. Sorry that aint going to fly here. And I find it funny when people call me a racist and they don't know what color I am.

What I wrote and what the poster above wrote are just plain facts. You don't like it that we are not worshipping your lord so you turn around and throw in the racist card? Well that goes to prove my #5 is correct.

Maybe if you stopped frothing long enough to read and watch something other than MSNBC you'd see how bad things are. But then again know you won't. After all why listen to something else when MSNBC tells you to keep calling people racist on any issues they bring up.
People are losing jobs beause of actions taken in the last administration - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Please don't assume you know who I worship or what TV station I watch. Also, the insulting frothing remarks are unnecessary. I thought we were having a discussion.
What? You are TRULY not living in reality. Obama - has been in office long enough
[ In Reply To ..]
to make a difference either way. He has made even a bigger miss by far than any previous president!!
It's going to take more than a couple of administrations to clean up that mess - We have a BIG problem that was left to us
[ In Reply To ..]
The problem left to the American people is huge! Obama isn't going to be able to fix it during his time in office. It's going to take years. He can make a start, if he doesn't just try to do something fast for political advantage and actually gives is the time and thought the problem deserves. But he can only begin to tackle that problem. It's bigger than one or even two presidents. We'll be feeling the consequences of this financial disaster for generations.
Maybe he could not fix it....but he could have - avoided making it worse.
[ In Reply To ..]
and not just worse...a WHOLE LOT worse.
I wouldn't agree that it's worse. In fact, I think it's a little better - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I had pretty much given up hope, but surprisingly, the GM situation is doing well and Congress is considering cancelling the corporate welfare oil companies are getting. Those are good steps, small steps I admit, but going the right direction.
Don't forget, he voted for the TARP then - Backwards Typist
[ In Reply To ..]
added more spending through stimulus, etc.

If he didn't want TARP, he should have voted no....while blaming the past administration for TARP. He had a hand in it, so it's partly his fault for TARP debt and then to keep harping on it as if he had a halo. Baloney. He's responsible, too. He's got to stop blaming others for mistakes he made.

His czars are another thing I have a problem with as they are well-known to push socialism/marxism. I am glad a few of them left but rubbing elbows with the CEO of GE and then scolding big business because of the fortunes they have made during the past year....talking out of both sides of his mouth IMHO. His past associations is also a problem I have with him.

My biggest gripe is promising help to the people in foreclosure...what's been done there? Granted the loose rules for getting a mortgage had a lot to do with it but people in their homes with normal mortgages and good credit that fell on hard times deserved help. Did he help? Haven't heard a thing.

Forcing Obamacare on us is another one. There are plenty more and the consequences of talking out of both sides of his mouth is going to come back to bite him one day.

Do you even understand what is going on? - see message
[ In Reply To ..]
First, the insulting frothing remarks came from you first, so if you think they are insulting and unnecessary then don't say them first.

We were having a discussion here until the "frothing" remarks were started - and NOT by me. And it was a serious conversation until you called me a racist. I told my family that at the supper table tonight and they all had a good laugh.

When people begin with a rude message they shouldn't expect that people are going to be kissy-kissy back to them. However, my message was not rude, but frank. Then again my mama always tells me people don't take kindly to hearing frank words.

We bring up issues affecting our country, our parents, our brother & sisters and our children. We talk about education, the growing deficit, the fact that they are unemployed and can't get jobs. We talk about Wall street continuing to grow richer under this administration, CEOs getting payouts, at our expense. We talk about the housing market continuing on a decline, and people losing their homes and forced into homeless shelters. We talk about the unnecessary growing trillion dollar deficit. We talk about issues happening today, not 3 years ago. Happening because of what's happening here in the day and you call me racist? Or go on the attack because I don't drool over The One, and that I must be a democrat "hater". I'm thinking is this person for real? They insult me because I don't follow the pied piper. And then reading that this is happening because of Bush??? Really??? I then think are people really blinded by the absolute hatred for Bush that the decisions being made by Obama if it's bad it's Bush's fault but when he makes good decisions they are credited to him.

That is MSNBC talking ALL the way. I know because I watch MSNBC. It's the same tactics they promote. Blame it on Bush and call everyone who doesn't agree with policies a racist. Funny thing is these same policies we disagreed with when Bush was in office we weren't called racist. When we disagreed with Bush's Patriot Act we were supported and said right on. Now we still disagree with the Patriot Act and all of a sudden we are racists? Do tell me how that one works.

If you want to believe that the current and future mistakes will always be Bush's faults but all the good things happening will be credited to Obama then I hope that works out for you. As for me, I'll keep reading and researching, keep listening to debates and determine for myself what I believe or don't believe.

But if you don't want insulting unnecessary remarks, then I wouldn't be the one to start them. Otherwise nobody will ever have a discussion.
You are incorrect. I did not call you any names and did absolutely no 'frothing' - and psst it is not a conspiracy against you
[ In Reply To ..]
I think you just came unglued unnecessarily. I did none of the things you just accused me of doing. There is no conspiracy against you.
Not incorrect. And do you think you could dispense with the - continued insults? (see your message below)
[ In Reply To ..]
I'll copy and paste your post (so I don't get accused again of some "conspiracy").

"Those items are your interpretation but I sure don't agree with them - Not at all frothing"

So, you didn't start with frothing? It's there. Even copied it from from the post. I don't use the word frothing to describe people who have a difference of opinion than me. I didn't start it.

Next. I did not come "unglued" and think there is a "conspiracy against me". Are you --- kidding me? Talk about baiting and then playing innocent. I'll just quote again.

"To me your list sounds like a list made by someone who just hates anyone who is [a different color] [a different party] or [whatever it is that ticks you off about anyone who isn't just like you]"

1. I don't hate.
2. I'm not a racist (not even towards white people).
3. There are no parties. What part of that don't you understand. They are all the same thing.

And the last little snide comment about "ticks you off about anyone who isn't just like you" Is just plain rude and insulting and so the poster got back what they deserved. Then on top of that insult here is yet another insulting post trying to ridicule anyone who doesn't think like you.

It seems that you are the one who has absolutely ZERO tolerance for those with a difference of opinion than you and "hates anyone who is [a different color] [a different party] or [whatever it is that ticks you off about anyone who isn't just like you]".

As my mama says..."sorry sista" but this country is filled with many people with differences of opinion. You can't have it your way or the highway.

Everything I posted in my message was true and it was done.

Next time people posts insults they should expect the same in return. Especially when they make it personal (which you did insulting me).

This thread is done to me. I'm not coming back to read more insults flung at me.
It's not a racial issue. If anything, it's an - economic issue. sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Though I understand the game of divide and conquer, if people would just look at issues based on the ISSUE and not what racial groups disagree on.

In this case, the middle-class is suddenly finding its numbers dwindling, with more and more joining the lower economic pole. I'm willing to bet that when PEOPLE get together and find they have one huge similarity (experiencing the American Dream become the American Nightmare), regardless of their other differences, this is one of the fastest growing groups in this country, regardless of race.

Blacks and whites of similar means should ban together and show everyone the REAL problem here is.

Just want to know what it is you think he's making progress in. I guess if the goal is to get our debt up to 50 trillion, yes he is making progress. If the goal is to divide the people, yes he is making progress. Yeah he's making progress on a lot of things.
No I don't. I ignore those posts - Not worth my time - see message

If you love/adore him fine. More power to you. Everyone has the right to like or dislike. I will reply to posts about issues. I've never said anything bad about Obama personally. I don't like the policies.

If people have something nice to say about him fine, and if anyone has anything nice to say about him personally I could care less. Not interesting in people's personal feelings and not worth my time. Everyone has the right to their feelings.

Besides, I do have other stuff to do in my spare time.

In addition to what Obama IS doing...it is what - he is NOT doing.

Like addressing the deficit and cutting spending rather than proposing a 3-trillion dollar budget with little to no cutting of existing spending....THAT is much worse than anything Ensign and Coburn did/did not do. You can't seriously think otherwise.
I would love to see Ensign and Coburn in prison. - Disagreeing with you
[ In Reply To ..]
I do believe that, beginning with the turn-around with GM, the Obama administration is taking steps. It can't be fixed instantly and I wouldn't like it if we had quick fixes. I'd rather show a little patience and have it done right.
Clinton should in prison too...he committed - felony perjury.
[ In Reply To ..]
...he did worse than Coburn ever thought about doing. No moral high ground here for Democrats.
That's fine. Throw him in prison. Coburn is still in office though - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Coburn belongs to that club that believe they were blessed by God and put in a position to make decisions that are above the regular law. In other words, they believe they are above the law because they were placed in those positions by God. As a Christian, that disgusts me. I'd rather see him placed in jail if he can't follow the laws of our country.

I'm not done reading it and I wish they would put the testimony on line to read. Guess who the chairman of the committee is.....Barbara Boxer. Maybe it has something to do with it, maybe not, but I'm going to finish reading it and I'm also going to read other reports from the ethics committee to see if this may be just another 'gotcha' politicking. I truly don't trust Congress lately, none of them with the way they have been behaving.

Were you outraged when Clinton had his - affair with a young intern

[ In Reply To ..]
in the White House and then committed felony perjury lying about it to cover it up?

Just askin. That was just as bad as Ensign's affair, and felony perjury is JUST as bad as campaign finance illegalities as far as I am concerned. Democrats have no moral high ground on affairs OR illegalities committed while in office.

The only thing Coburn did is try to get Ensign to END the affair. Since when is that against the law?

[ In Reply To ..]
Clinton was investigated every which way and decisions about him were made. It is what it is. That's history. If someone wants to take more action regarding Clinton, let them go for it!

Coburn, on the other hand, is doing things that affect us as American citizens. I'd like to see him out of office. The Ethics Committee are looking at his actions.
Then stop bringing up Bush's name - mt
[ In Reply To ..]
When we talk about the current admin. When we talk about the current wrong doing the first thing people says is "yeah, well Bush this or that" But now we're talking about Clinton, you say don't bring up the past.

So it's okay to bring up the past if a republican did something wrong, but it's not okay to bring up the past if a democrat did something wrong?
