Joe Biden voted for constitutional amendment to overturn Roe vs. Wade

In 1982, then-Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., voted for the Human Life Federalism Amendment, which contradicted Roe by declaring that “the right to an abortion is not secured by this Constitution.” The Florida Catholic Conference of Bishops recalls the Hatch Amendment as a “turning point in [the] pro-life cause.”

Biden even bragged about this vote in a letter to one Ms. Juanita Sonnier. “Many thanks for taking the time to inform
me of your concern over the controversial issue of abortion, specifically Senate Joint Resolution 110, the Hatch Amendment,” Biden said in the letter. “As I am sure you are aware, on Thursday, March 11, 1982 the Senate Judiciary Committee voted in favor of this measure. I voted for this resolution, which passed by a vote of 10-7.”

Fast forward to this week: “We hope the Vice President Biden makes [Ryan] answer for his extreme anti-woman, anti-family agenda,” Emily’s List President Stephanie Schriock told The Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard.

Lately it's become common to set the least common denominator as the standard.

So it's become acceptable to

**Lie all the time, with no points given to those who do not.
**Be astonishingly ignorant, with no points given to those who are knowledgeable.
**Be too stupid to handle a complex job, with no points given to those who are competent.

A perverted version of the ideal of equality.

We're arrived at a point where MANY of the good, fine, very intelligent, honorable, knowledgeable, and competent people who are out there are refusing to run for public office because they will not lower themselves to these requirements. For many, they simply cannot.

I worked for an attorney for 24 years who was MENSA. He would pull out in front of cars, ran over my husband's ladder on the side of the driveway, drove over small trees and my flowers, and always, always leave here forgetting his brief case, his pens, his hat and sometimes even his coat!

A lot of times I had to have him "explain" a sentence he dictated because it didn't make sense.

Oh, but I loved the guy. :-)
