Sarah Palin Alaska Series to air on Discovery Channel

Good for her.... This will rile up the Libs.....

The TLC network will air Sarah Palin's eight-part series about her home state of Alaska.
Network owner Discovery Communications announced Thursday that it had acquired rights to the series. It's being produced by Mark Burnett , who produces "Survivor" and several other TV series.

The series tells stories of some of Alaska's unique features as seen through the eyes of its former governor. It will be called "Sarah Palin's Alaska."

Discovery reportedly won a competition for the series with the A&E Networks. There is no immediate word on when it will premiere.

rile up the libs? I'm a lib and I'll watch. I love Alaska. I don't think SP is qualified to be in any high political position, and I think she says some really wild things, but that just makes her more entertaining. She's not in a position to do any real harm. I think there are enough sensible people in the US who take what she says with a grain of salt to override the ones who get whipped up into a froth when she says something sensational.

I, for one, will watch. :)

I won't watch it because of SP, but I will watch it because I love Alaska and shows about Alaska. I'm not into reality shows though, so unless it's different than other reality shows unsure if I will like it or not. I do like the reality show about the race, where couples compete against each other, but only because I like seeing what the other countries look like. The rest of the reality shows I just can't stand and don't watch any of them.

I do believe some of the liberals will be upset because she's not out in the streets starving and homeless, and that she is trying to make a life for herself. Again...only some of them. Others have enough sense to just let things be and don't really care one way or the other (not going to lump everyone into one group - hint, hint). But then again there are a lot of conservatives who don't really care for her.

As for her political career. I wouldn't want to see her in a position like President or VP, but I think she would make a fine person holding a cabinet seat. I think she's a smart woman who holds strong to her values, and she is a quick learner. I don't agree with her values. She a little too "churchy" for my liking, but then again I just ignore that part and listen to what she is talking about. I wish she wouldn't have joined Fox, but her choice, and my choice not to watch it. I liked that she went on Leno, even though I don't like Leno and didn't watch that episode, but heard she was funny, smart and a lot of people loved her.

My viewpoints on Sarah Palin - She's one of those persons that you either love or hate. I'm not either. If she's on and I don't feel like changing the channel I'll listen, but particularly I don't really care one way or the other whether I see her or not.

I will watch the show when it comes on, just out of curiosity. I will make a determination after the first show whether or not I like it. I do wish her all the best in whatever she does in her life. Otherwise, she does not affect my life at all. I'm still here doing what I've always been doing whether or not she is in the camera.
