Just check out the other 2010 nominees (including "gleek" based on the Fox show) and last year's winner (unfriend, based on teens, tweens, and immature adults using it on Facebook). Even better, last year's nominees included "sexting" and "tramp stamp." The source you cited obviously adores SP and has tried to put a positive spin on it, but it's really kind of embarrassing.

Truthfully, I haven't formed a definite opinion. However, what has me and other people who share the same view running around in circles and bumping into each other is the willingness of some people to defend the ridiculous based on a go-team attitude, which is fine for a sports arena but should be kept out of politics.

take it at face value. This happened during an interview where both "Christian" and "Muslim" were being said. Obama was talking about being accused of being Muslim.

I don't know if Obama is Muslim or not. I frankly could not care less what his religion, if he even has one, is. The whole point was attack one person for misspeaking and totally give the other one a buy. In other words...why even go there on EITHER of them?

Also, I've never really followed Palin and avoid reading things about her, but it seems to me she made that word up...like a cross between repudiate and refute? I don't know, but doesn't seem like that would be called a misspeak.

I have never seen one group of people so completely focused on another person they so obviously despise. You would think if they don't want her in the news they would stop putting her there. The fact remains that ...Sarah (as with George Bush) doesn't have a good command of the English language. Additionally in the manner of George Bush, she just can't bring herself to admit mistakes. Thus, she blurts out such crap as a comparison between herself and Shakespeare. The uneducated population eat this up, since they finally have one of their own willing and able to stand up against those who are educated and can string together the words to create a structurally sound sentence.

George, by the way, graduated with an MBA. He is "educated." He, like Sarah, just talks TO people instead of talking DOWN to them. Elitist liberals might want to take note of that, because the "uneducated" vote counts just like the "educated" one.
