SHOCKER: Occupy DC not voting for Obama

Posted: Nov 6, 2012

"You’d be shocked SHOCKED to find out some of the Occupy DC folks are writing in ‘nobody’ as the candidate of their choice because they prefer anarchy over democracy. There are a few voting for an actual candidate, but none of them are voting for Obama." http://www.therightscoop.com/shocker-occupy-dc-not-voting-for-obama/;

Not really. The democratic party does not consider Occupy - their exclusive personal property.

In fact, I'd be shocked if they did vote for Obama in large numbers. They are as independent as they come and logically, whenever possible, I would expect them to vote for either the Green Party or do protest write-in votes. That said, their lack of support for mainstream party candidates is not NEARLY as problematic in terms of vote count for the democrats as the mass exodus occurring under the GOP tent behind radical factions that are holding Congress, the candidates and the party hostage to their extremist agendas, especially in the social engineering arena.

Maybe you need to get a clue about the real left - Obama isn't part of it

[ In Reply To ..]
Obama is way, way, wayyyy too centrist for a lot of folks. That's why it's so laughable when people claim he's a socialist. He's way too middle-of-the-road. Occupy wants someone who will get stuff done. Obama is an appeaser. He wants us all to get along. Occupy knows making nice is a flawed concept when it comes to change in the current hostile Faux-driven environment.

Hit the nail on the head. - nm

Maybe YOU need to get a clue-Obama was all about supporting OWS - Centrist??- hahahahahaha

[ In Reply To ..]
and hahahahaha on the centrist part again.

No he wasn't. The democratic party did take their - 99% message and run with it

[ In Reply To ..]
which is precisely what they wanted to happen. Their right to exist as a party and to protest is respected as well, which is as it should be, just like the Tea Party. Other than that, there is a whole lot of daylight between mainstream democratic and OWS agendas.

Obama supporting OWS? - Yeah, that's called free speech

[ In Reply To ..]
And kudos to him for realizing that's a constitutional right, and that he's a president, not a dictator.

And centrist? You betcha. His biggest mistake, and the real left's biggest disappointment, was his bending over backwards -- or should we say rightwards -- when he took the helm instead of coming out full-throttle. He should have known the right wasn't going to be willing to work with him. Not part of their agenda, then or now.

Obama Voting BlocApr 04, 2014
I heard on Mark Simone's NY radio show today that the 4 groups of people who put Obama through to the presidency were (1) African Americans, (2) Hispanic Americans, (3) young people and (4) single women. Those 4 groups of people are also the ones most negatively impacted by this current economy. Isn't that just wonderful? The ones who helped put him in office are the ones reaping the least reward for doing so. What a guy! The most recent unemployment numbers are higher than the natio ...

Voting For Obama Is Like Losing Virginity?Oct 26, 2012
Wow...first it was vote like your lady parts depend on it and now we are losing our virginity when we vote for Obama.  Can democratic women think of anything besides their who-ninnies?  I find that much more offensive than binders of women.  At least those binders helped women get jobs.  Losing the V-card by voting for Obama is disturbing to say the least. If voting for Obama was like losing her virginity....her first time must have a big disappointment!  ...

Mandatory Voting? Obama Says It Would Be 'transformative'Mar 19, 2015
They say the only two things that are certain in life are death and taxes. President Barack Obama wants to add one more: voting. Obama floated the idea of mandatory voting in the U.S. while speaking to a civic group in Cleveland on Wednesday. Asked about the corrosive influence of money in U.S. elections, Obama digressed into the related topic of voting rights and said the U.S. should be making it easier — not harder— for people to vote. Just ask Australia, where citizens have no ...

Ten Ways The Occupy Movement Changes EverythingNov 14, 2011
Before the Occupy Wall Street movement, there was little discussion of the outsized power of Wall Street and the diminishing fortunes of the middle class. The media blackout was especially remarkable given that issues like jobs and corporate influence on elections topped the list of concerns for most Americans. Occupy Wall Street changed that. In fact, it may represent the best hope in years that “we the people” will step up to take on the critical challenges of our tim ...

Protesters Occupy Sen. Chuck Schumer's CapitolNov 15, 2016
About 40 people have occupied Sen. Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) Capitol Hill office to protest his ties to Wall Street as he prepares to lead Senate Democrats in the 115th meeting of Congress, the Associated Press reported. U.S. Capitol Police removed the protesters, who said they want Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to lead the party instead, after a Republican sweep in the elections. The protesters, who came from groups such as Black Lives Matter and Occupy Wall Street, argued that Hillary Clint ...

Because Voting In Ohio Just Isn't Hard Enough..smAug 10, 2012
Ohio voting just got a little harder, not because early voting has been cut down, and not because of new ID restrictions. That's right. Republicans are doing everything in their power to ensure a win in Ohio. The latest tactic works on a county by county basis. County by county it is decided whether or not to extend hours at the voting sites. Each county has a commission comprised of two dems and two pubs. You would think this would be a good thing to extend hours in this state right? ...
