President Obama and the Race Issue

Posted: Jul 23, 2013

Some of you on this board can't stand Bill O'Reilly but he had  a great Talking Points memo last night. He hit the nail on the head and Juan Williams agreed with him saying he was "bold and fresh like he used to be" and that Juan's book "Enough" pointed out the exact same things.

No matter how much you hate BO, you should watch it.

I just realized Bill O'Reilly and Barack Obama are the same initials - Truthhurts

My "no matter" paragraph meant Bill O'Reilly. Guess I should have written BillO.

Hope that's more clear now.

Thanks for the 1 dislike 2 seconds after I posted the original article. Shows that you didn't listen to it.

Tell me, how is that looking at both sides and fairness?

Shows BillO has nothing to say worth listening to. - Silence is golden and

[ In Reply To ..]
time is a terrible thing to waste.

I listened. I gave both the OP and this one a dislike - Typical anti Obama post

[ In Reply To ..]
Nothing new. More Obama bashing.

Which part of what he said did you disagree with? - I thought it was spot on.

[ In Reply To ..]
nm
The bloviating part - the blah, blah, blah parts
[ In Reply To ..]
O'Reilly sounds to me like the adults on a Charlie Brown cartoon sound like - wah, wah, wah, wah, wah, etc.
Just as I suspected. They didn't even read it - just sayin
[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Funny - great minds - I just came to post this. - Probably his best EVER.(sm)

[ In Reply To ..]
Sometimes he gets on my nerves, but there is absolutely no way you can refute any of this. Excellent.

Too much bloviating by the chief bloviator - Bill O'Reilly

[ In Reply To ..]
I can't stand the sound of his voice.

One might say the BIC is a DIC without even having to clarify - those shared initials. nm

[ In Reply To ..]

? - ?

[ In Reply To ..]
? Please clarify.
Bloviater-in-Chief = Divider-in-Chief. BIC = DIC. - Thx for the pls. nm
[ In Reply To ..]
Cool - he can either be dictator in chief or divider. - Either way works - DIC.
[ In Reply To ..]
nm
I kinda like Bloviator In - Chief...
[ In Reply To ..]
He does seem to talk a lot. After Bush, I never thought I'd get this sick of hearing a president's voice again, but I was wrong. Obama comes on and I change the channel!
I don't listen to any politicians or bloviators opining - Complete waste of time.
[ In Reply To ..]
Who needs to listen to this garbage. Who wants to devote the time?

I don't pay any attention to double talk and it comes from both sides, whether it is a Republican or Democratic politician or a commentator who takes a conservative or liberal side. They all cancel each other out.

I like Juan Williams... - ZvilleMT

[ In Reply To ..]
He's very honest in his opinions, brings facts to the discussion, and is not condescending. If you haven't read his book "Enough," I highly recommend it :)

I don't. I hate the way he rolls his eyes when he doesn't agree. - He gets on my nerves.

[ In Reply To ..]
nm

Yeah, he does do that... - ZvilleMT

[ In Reply To ..]
but I've never heard him be insulting or call anyone stupid for not agreeing with him. I don't mind hearing contrary positions as long as it's respectful and Juan is respectful most of the time.

I can't think of anything worse to do in my - spare time than listen to

[ In Reply To ..]
some blowhard pundit.

I agree. I would rather clean my house. - Than listen to a politician or pundit

[ In Reply To ..]
Such a waste of time and you accomplish absolutely nothing. Just a way of feeding hatred and dividing the country further.

Black Like Me - NK

[ In Reply To ..]
Perhaps O'Reilly could darken his skin like journalist John Howard Griffin and travel the country as a black man. Mr. Griffin's diary was published as a book, Black Like Me, in 1961. While things have improved since that time, there is still both overt and subtle racism in this country. O'Reilly has neither the authority nor the life experiences to subject us to his analysis of the black race.

I read that book back then and I saw a movie - Truthhurts

(can't remember the name but it was on the same order).

That's when I was a liberal.

Did you even watch to the whole video? if not, you missed the whole point of it. Juan Williams and he get into it at times, but that night, he agreed completely with Bill. So what does that tell you?

The name of the movie - NK

[ In Reply To ..]
was Black Like Me.

It tells me that Juan Williams agreed with Bill O'Reilly. Because he agreed, I'm supposed to automatically think it's gospel? Didn't Mr. Williams have a reputation for expressing one view on NPR and another on Fox?
He was fired from NPR for remarks he made - about Muslims.
[ In Reply To ..]
He basically said he gets scared when he sees a Muslim on a plane. These were comments he made to Bill O'Reilly, in fact. It's like he has multiple personality disorder.

It tells me Juan Williams wants to keep this job. - He was fired before.

I agree, but I don't like him. If you notice, (sm) - LM

when he fills in for Bill O'Reilly, he becomes a conservative. He does what they tell him to do. He's a hypocrite. He follows the money.
