But of course, that's not even the whole story. Those are just the premiums. When we look at other costs and also at what it all pays for (is the product as good?), the story is much, much worse.
The deductibles are much higher. Co-pays are higher. Choice is far more limited. And for all this added cost, many claims for services, medications and medical equipment that were covered before are now being denied.
Big Pharma and the insurance companies played a strong part in shaping O-care, and they made out like bandits. Obamacare is a far, far cry from how it was sold (with deliberate falsehoods) to the American people.
