After 8 years of Rendell and the dem-controlled state government, people in this state finally woke up. The house, senate and governor are all pub controlled. Hopefully, things will get done now. Rendell will be gone but hopefully, he won't take 'revenge' in these last days of his governorship and push things through that PA citizens were against from the get-go.
I will be watching. Our new gov promised to cut spending by cutting down the fleet of cars used by the legislature. This I have to see. Expenses for this fleet is horrendous and the taxpayers are the ones who pay for it. He made other promises, too, and I will watch and see and make sure he gets an email and/or written letter if he does not hold true.
One really great thing that happened was a man named Argall. He was running against the incumbent, Holden, for U.S. Senate, but didn't make it because he was the one who wrote the bill in PA for a pay raise, which passed in the middle of the night; then when the citizens yelled loud and clear, most of the legislators gave the money back or gave it to charity...all except him.
An unhappy side is that Reid still made it, but then again, I wasn't so sure SA really should have been elected. So, the theory was with all his faults, he was the better of the two. Also, Pelosi sounds a bit unhappy, gave a written statement but did not give any speech.
I hope everyone else had a good election night. Who else is happy about the turnout in the election? Let's make sure those elected keep their promises and/or fight for US and not themselves. Agree?
