After watching 2016: Obama's America

I understand Obama's drive to socialism. It's really anti-colonialism that his father and grandfather pursued, and now he is as well. In this movie, Obama is heard reading from his own book, Dreams from My Father, which lays out the theme of the movie. Obama has major plans to drive America to its knees economically and lead us in the direction of being like third-world countries. Spread the wealth around. I probably did not explain myself very well, so maybe the best advice I could give is to watch the movie, then vote in November!!;

While we continually have to fight against the republican party for rights that have already been fought for, you worry about Obama taking this country down? Instead of worrying about fears planted by the right wing propaganda machine, maybe you should look at what actually IS HAPPENING NOW. It wasn't the republican party that kept us from going into a full blown depression. In fact, it was the republican party that put us on the course for that full blown depression, and pubs in congress have done absolutely nothing to further the cause of getting us back on our feet. They have, in contrast, stalled recovery by obstructing everything they can in order to try to make Obama look bad to the detriment of EVERYONE.

You may think Obama is trying to spread the wealth around, but I can guarantee Romney will do nothing but spread poverty around. It's times like this when I almost hope Romney wins just so folks like you can look up in about 3 years and say "what was I thinking."

A friend dragged me kicking and screaming to see the Obama movie–I was convinced it would be right-wing propoganda. It’s actually a well-made and persuasive argument that the guy I voted for in ’08 doesn’t deserve my support this time around. I’d be interested in what other Obama voters from ’08 think–not people who just want to sling talking points from the right or left, but people who have seen this movie and considered the case it makes.

Then is all went downhill and stayed there. Also, why would Romney want to be president only to "spread poverty around"? I can't let this one go by. Bush's economy was great? Where were you? He was spending - with the blessing of the warmonger and CEO of Halliburton, Cheney, - upwards of 12M a month on a war we were coerced into with no clear facts as to why and with a total projected cost over 20 billion dollars. That's right. Now Cheney has gotten his oil fields, which is what he wanted in the first place. And...TARP? Bush started that, not Obama. Get your facts straight. Then Bush bought a multimillion dollar home and retired to the private life, his little place in history as the worst president ever firmly decided. Obama had some good ideas. Unfortunately he wasn't able to do a darn thing with the obstructive congress we have in place. How is that doing any good for this country? And I sort of agree with the statement about the TeaPubs winning. However, I am working to make sure it doesn't happen - just to clarify. I'm sure that those on Medicare and Social Security really have no idea what voting Republican is going to do to them if the TeaPubs win. Nor do women really have a clue how regressive our rights are going to be with the TeaPubs in place. Probably worse than now. With Karl Rove and Sheldon Adelson pumping millions upon millions of dollars into the campaign (gee...wouldn't that money do more good being used for something else?), this will be the costliest election ever bought. Ever.

You act like Bush and Cheney pushed us into the war all by their itty bitty selves...they couldn't have done it WITHOUT APPROVAL from Congress. Look up the votes on that. Dems voted to go to war, too.

During most of Bush's presidency, unemployment never reached 8% or more. The highest it got was 6.3% in June 2003, but dropped to 4.5% by July 2007. Note the year...dems controlled Congress by then and nothing positive happened after that.

Bush also fought for the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act and SIGNED IT INTO LAW. Are you against that?

As for Bush's home, that has nothing to do with being the President. Obama bought a house prior to running for the presidency, but is still paying on a mortgage..and if I'm not mistaken, his tax returns show more than one property he is paying on with a mortgage?

As many others tried to point out on this board, Obama had both House and Senate control for 2 years and didn't get much done.

Does the sentence "I'm in charge now" ring a bell? Obama said that the first day he took office. His arrogance started while campaigning and,on the day he took office, his egotism grew to what he is today.

One thing I do want to point out and that is that when he was running for office, I considered voting for him until I started listening closely to what he was proposing in his speeches. There was no way he could do all he was promising unless he raised taxes and cut spending which he wouldn't be able to do with the promises he was making. So, I voted for the other guy, but I was still willing to give him a chance. That lasted until I heard the above words. I knew then that we were in for a world of trouble. :-(

Most indicators are that we will do it again, but please don't worry too much. So far he's been exactly the person most of the people of this country thought he was when he was elected President. Remember what you were told would happen by now, but the country's still here, right?

Just maybe the people who lied to you coming up to the last election (and ever since) are still lying to you? We all get to be among the people who are fooled some of the time, just don't be one of those who can be fooled all the time.

I truly would love to see the movie but it's not around my area of the country.

Reason I don't believe it's propaganda is because if you read Obama's books and/or listened to the trailers on this movie, it's his voice reading from one of his books, so how can you say it's propaganda when it comes "straight from the horse's mouth" (and I don't mean that to be hateful)?
