Men who comment on women's weight have a tendency for early mortality

Posted: Sep 28, 2016

The OP subject is an old joke on social media, but it is not a joke when you are the subject on comments such as what Trump has made about women.

I think most women understand the insecurity about their bodies that gets instilled in us as children.   If you don't understand, there are all kinds of psychological articles available on the subject.

Definitely not someone who should be president.

sexual and predatory nature and who called the Secret Service pigs should be careful throwing stones. This is the garbage the Dems want back in the WH, a woman who covers up rape and then goes after the victim.

Ironic, coming from PIAPS (pig in a pantsuit).

It isn’t about Bill’s affairs and rapes. It’s about how Hillary conspired other than his affairs and rape is how Hillary conspired to “take down” Bill’s women through threats, intimidation and otherwise.

One of her platforms is that she is "for women." No she’s not. It’s one of her biggest lies.

um I believe it was Monica L who was predatory and went after the president and she didn't call rape. I think your a little confused with Bill Cosby/Bill Clinton. Funny how the Hillary haters just keep coming up with old news and nothing valid

Hillary gets a pass again. She savaged and destroyed - the women Bill assaulted/raped.

[ In Reply To ..]
Monica Lewinsky was the only one who LIKED IT. It was called the bimbo eruption.

The vast majority of women voting for Hillary don't care, I know, but stop with the hypocrisy.

was not the country's business back then and is still not our business. This is a personal matter...and if you think for one second Bill Clinton is the only president who conducted himself in this manner...brush up on your history...I would pretty much bet more than HALF of the president's stepped out on their wives...as probably do most of the men in America...not excusing it, but also not in denial about it either. It is part of the game in politics...

is not an insult and if you think they were unwilling victims..HA..you definitely need to think again and brush up on that history...Gennifer Flowers was not an unwilling victim, as none of the others who "willingly" slept with him...AGAIN..NONE of our business..

Your list of women. I personally know one in the second paragraph. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
One of the women you speak of would actually disagree with you. I know her personally and believe me, she was no better than Bill Clinton.

Also, do you think it is kinda funny that someone who was so horribly assaulted would save a stained dress for 3 years before saying something? No! She planned it. And Hillary should feel sorry for her?

Hillary did not need to try to "destroy" some of these women, they were managing that quite well on their own.

I cannot believe some of the posts on here and what you people consider important or even worth mentioning. As far as winning a debate..... who wins a debate. It is a debate! There is no winner. However, fact checkers do point out that fact checking Trump is very easy. It is pointed out and proven that he has lied 65% of the time but he still keeps telling the same lies, even after he has been told his "facts" have been disproven. His mostly uneducated supporters do not care. They would not bother to research anything. Hillary Clinton lies 15% of the time. Regardless, a liar is a liar and they are both pathetic.

Some people need to research the actual facts no matter who states them. There are so very many lies that have been told about Obama from his birth, religion, him being responsible for the economy, good or bad, being in the middle east, leaving the middle east, the debt he inherited, the debt he created, gun control, etc. Like him or not, much of this is not true. Many credit him with more than he deserves while others blame him for what he is not responsible for. Research what a president can actually do and cannot do. Might make you think twice about Trump's promises and how he plans to accomplish what he says he CAN do. This has been a republican controlled congress for more than the last decade. Research what they do and, more importantly, do not do.

You can personally attack any politician for their looks, marital affairs, lies, broken promises, shady dealings, and on and on. NONE of them will come without these flaws. You simply have to pick the lesser of all the evils in politics. What a shame.

See how other women defend Bill's treatment toward - women? War on women indeed.

War on women who aren't Democrats is more like it.

and you know... Donald Trump is nobody who should be making comments about anybody else's figure, because from what I see he is NO looker and probably could lose a few pounds himself. First to go should be that inflated ego he has. His wife is definitely with him for his money and nothing else. That is why he picks trophy wives...no woman in her right mind could love somebody like him. Its probably a good thing he has money or he wouldn't be married...lol.

If women are insecure about their bodies, then they need help - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
Those women must have had people downgrading them all their life. You don't just wake up one day and say, "Gee, I'm fat" (at 117 lb.). This is all about low self-esteem.

It all comes about mostly because of the weight loss programs that are pushed every day on the media.

I have never been insecure about my weight. I'm not skinny like I was as a kid. In fact, I was teased every day about how thin I was by my friend's uncle and my own grandfather. I was called Bones, Skinny, you name it. Didn't bother me. I laughed right along with them.

The debate was no place to even bring this up. It had NOTHING AT ALL to do with policy and/or solutions. This was Hillary's idea and because SHE was the one to bring it up, SHE is once again, putting women down in a roundabout way.

i don't remember this in the debate - LMT

[ In Reply To ..]
did you actually watch the debate? I don't remember anything said from Hillary about this subject. If it was, I was probably laughing so much at how ridiculous Trump was i missed it.

This was after the question about trumps comment - on Hillary's looks
[ In Reply To ..]
He was asked about his remarks that Hillary does not look presidential. He tried to pivot to she does not look like she has stamina. She cleaned his clock.

Those are Trump's own words but it is Hillary's fault that she is pointing out this insight into Trump's character.

Hillary looked 100% better than Trump. I think he is even lying about his weight. If he weighs 230 something pounds, I must weigh 115. I have seen pictures of him playing golf in his shorts. Not a presidential sight.

Men who comment on women's weight... - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
I would say Hillary Clinton is someone who should never be president UNLESS you support someone whose foundation took millions of dollars in money from countries who allow marital rape, where a woman needs a "male guardian" for approval on everything from obtaining a passport to obtaining higher education, also countries where women have no divorce rights, where the husband is allowed to assault his wife and children, and where a woman can be stoned to death for adultery (by the way, the last one is Saudi Arabia).

Not quite a comparison with commenting on someone's weight, now is it?

Maternal Mortality Rates Higher In Red StatesJan 17, 2015
Today, more U.S. women die in childbirth and from pregnancy-related causes than at almost any point in the last 25 years. The United States is the one of only seven countries in the entire world that has experienced an increase in maternal mortality over the past decade (we join the likes of Afghanistan and South Sudan), and mothers in Iran, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Serbia and Greece (among many other countries) have a better chance of surviving pregnancy than do women in the United Sta ...

Older Women Versus Younger Women And Trump/ClintonOct 10, 2016
Women who "like" Trump are invariably older and don't like Hilary Clinton because they were raised in an era of economic competition with each for men. In the old days, men generally took care of their women, and some women lucked out with good men and some stuck it out with bad ones. Young women can take care of themselves economically so aren't as threatened by other women so they're more apt to go for HIllary. Older women also don't like Clinton because she stuck with her ...

Stop Telling Us We Have To Pretend Men Are Women And Women Are MenAug 05, 2017
I have a lot of compassion for anyone who struggles with the biological gender with which they're born.  I can't imagine how confusing or painful that is.  However, I will NOT say you are a man when you're a woman or vice versa.  This asinine legislation about the bathrooms does not make sense.   Whatever your feeling is about this issue, ask yourself what is true.  Because the truth may be distasteful to someone does not make it untrue.  If you stru ...

Weight IssuesMar 25, 2012
Okay, I have always been a medium built girl, somewhat petite at 5'3 and always carried my weight well. Two years ago I quit smoking and packed on 20 lbs. I got busy working out and counting calories, and tried to change my eating habits. Okay, it was gradual, but I lost 10 lbs. Over the course of some months it continued to decline gradually. But this Winter around the holidays I pigged out. Then I went through a transition where I lost my job, quit cooking and eating healthy and jus ...

Are You Happy With Your Weight?Apr 18, 2013
Just wondering if any woman is ever truly "happy" with her body?  I have always had weight struggles and had gotten very heavy and I lost it all about five years ago.  I was happy, at first, but then it went away.  I am not underweight and am actually at the high end of "normal" weight, but I just cannot be happy about how I look.  I decided I needed to lose 10 more pounds for this summer and worked hard and lost it, but I still look in the mirror and I think I see myself a l ...

Need To Lose Baby WeightFeb 28, 2012

Menopause And Weight GainFeb 13, 2011
I found out about a year ago that I'm in full-blown menopause.  I have all the characteristic issues that go along with it.  All of my life I've had to watch what I eat and try to exercise regularly (but that isn't going nearly as well as it should be right now).  Some days I just have no motivation whatsoever.  My tighter and tighter fitting clothes should be motivation enough, but apparently it isn't.  I'm so tired of this weight gain and feeli ...

Weight Gain/GERDJan 23, 2011

Metamucil And Weight LossJun 02, 2010
