Make no mistake: Obama loves Sandy

Posted: Oct 29, 2012

Photo ops.  Looking concerned about "lives, not politics", appearing "Presidential", and most of all...

...Sandy takes the miserable failures, coverup and incompetence called "Benghazi" off the front page.

Low. Please yourself with this: You get to blame him for - failures in responses, and there will inevitably

be some. You only have to worry that not enough things go wrong or that inexplicably people are too stupid to realize massive mud slides in New Hamshire are proof he shouldn't be reelected.

That's really kind of a despicable comment - and totally out of line

Who's using this impending tragedy to further a political agenda now? Oh, look, that would be the OP.

It really isn't something any of us would like (sm) - Aunt Sue

to think, but I think poster is exactly correct. Remember - don't let a good crisis go to waste.

Bush certainly didn't - Romney has his own legacy. - nm

You've got us on real life and terribly high stakes. Of - course Obama needs to use this. Where we differ

is that I think it is his DUTY to win reelection for the sake of the country.

You see, no one, including you I'm actually pretty sure, trusts Romney or knows what he would do, but we do have good reason to worry--about his direction, about his ability to gain cooperation from his own party (which largely despises him), and about his competence. After all, we're not talking little Bain Capital here, and he's not being elected to provide spiritual counseling--of any quality.
Too bad when our ambassador in Libya (sm) - Texan

needed him, he was jetting off to Vegas and let them be killed. Now he needs people to vote for him so he will pretend he cares.

I didn't record it so I can't repeat it verbatim - ROMNEY quote

But just this morning I heard Mitt Romney say something about directing our "full hearts" and "clear eyes" to the people affected by Hurricane Sandy -- um, what was that about?

I'll spot him for his "full heart," except what is that "clear eyes" - about? Is he seeing 47% feckless who should have

taken better care of themselves? Maybe they should have sold their homes already and moved to Minnesota (or ??) because, after all, we all do really know climate change IS real. This isn't the first whole-new-game storm to hit the northeast. Once people have warning that 1000-mile-long storms will happen, how does his clear Bain-trained eyes evaluate their choices?

It's A Mistake To Think Obama Is A Bungler. He's Achieving Sep 15, 2012
...and he's not finished. When you really grasp what this means, both domestically and globally, you'll be able to understand many aspects of the Obama presidency that are otherwise simply nonsensical.  There was no bungling in the Middle East - ignoring Israel, cozying up to the mullahs in Iran, leading from behind in Libya, secret negotiations with the "good Taliban" (??!!), etc.  There is no bungling in the creation of the world's biggest debtor nation.  There i ...

Where Is The Evidence That Barack Obama Loves America?Feb 25, 2015
The firestorm of denunciation of former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, for having said that he did not think Barack Obama loved America, is in one sense out of all proportion to that remark — especially at a time when there are much bigger issues, including wars raging, terrorist atrocities and a nuclear Iran on the horizon. Against that background of strife and dangers on the world stage, it may seem as if Obama’s feelings, or Giuliani’s opinion about those feelings, s ...

What Meteorologists Are Saying About Sandy. Oct 27, 2012
I'm inland deep south and hadn't realized. For those in the storm area, hope you and yours all stay safe and dry. From Weather.com: Here's what meteorologists and officials are saying about the potential impacts of Hurricane Sandy. Near the bottom impact on voter turnout is mentioned. Assume you've all voted early, of course.  On the Strength of the Storm "We are increasingly certain that a massive windstorm is going to hit the Mid-Atlantic and the Northeast ...

Let's Get Back To Benghazi. Sandy Was A Storm.Oct 30, 2012
As I predicted, Obama (and his sycophants) would LOVE Sandy because it would take Benghazi off the front page.  However newsworthy Sandy might be, it has relatively little relevance to anyone's decision with respect to the coming elections.  Anyone can collect food, and anyone can fly around in Air Force One looking like the big cheese after a natural disaster.  These things mean absolutely nothing. The Benghazi scandal, on the other hand, is a thumbnail sketch of the genera ...

Who's Politicizing Hurricane Sandy? This Article Is Very Clear.Oct 30, 2012
Former President Bill Clinton took a swipe Tuesday at Mitt Romney's position on climate change in the aftermath of the landfall of Hurricane Sandy, saying that President Obama's policies were better for the environment. "In the real world, Barack Obama’s policies work better," Clinton said at a campaign rally in Minnesota. Clinton said that Romney mocked Obama's position on climate change during the first presidential debate, although the topic didn't come up. "He ri ...

Paul Defends Obama's Right To Make Afghan CallsJul 18, 2010
By KRISTIN M. HALL (AP) – 10 hours ago LEXINGTON, Ky. — A constant critic of President Barack Obama, Republican Rand Paul on Saturday defended the president's right to make decisions on the war in Afghanistan without interference from Congress. Without mentioning Obama by name, the U.S. Senate candidate said Congress shouldn't micromanage the war in Afghanistan and should leave the decisions on troop levels to the White House. Paul spoke Saturday in Lexington at a Fayette ...

Sandy Hook Bill Had $60 Billion In Pork Added By TheOct 06, 2015
tried to separate the actually bill from the 85% pork added to it by the Democrats. Now, they are trying to claim the Republicans "withheld funding" to use as an excuse not to fund South Carolina, which is a conservative stronghold, since New Jersey is blue. Democrats politicians were standing on the bodies of the dying and the graves of the dead to pick our pockets. That bill included funding for commercial fisheries disasters for as far away as American Samoa. To claim republicans wer ...

My Stupid MistakeMar 22, 2011
I wrote awhile ago about this sweet little kittie who has been hanging out at our place, sleeping on the porch to keep out of the cold and we feed it.  When I go out in back, I always walk out first and check all around to make sure the cat isn't there because our inside cat hates other cats and goes after them.  I walked out, looked around and didn't see her.  I let our cat out (we have the back area fence in so our cat can't get out), well evidently the cat was ar ...

Liberal Newspeak...Orwell's Mistake In 1984 Dec 11, 2013
a totalitarian socialist state would maintain the rigid linguistic conventions of bureaucratic totalitarianism. That future commissars and fuhrers would insist on everyone talking like office clerks picking out words from a coded manual of procedures. It was an understandable mistake though. Orwell had seen 1948. But he hadn't seen 1984. Liberal Newspeak is the hybrid product of advertising, academia and bureaucracy. Tea Party Leader: Obama Hides Birth Cert. To Make Us ‘nuts’Apr 29, 2010
