Unemployment rate drops to 7.7%, but those not in the labor force, i.e., have given up looking for work, increases by 540,000. Not so good news after all.

those whose UE has run out and they are no longer showing on the stats as collecting UE...or those who are unemployed but do not qualify for UE...like IC MTs, for instance. I have been unemployed for three months now, and you can bet your bippy I am not included in those stats...skewed figures, at best. Lies...at worst, trying to make it look as though things are improving when they are not. Don't know what dream world they are getting their numbers from, but they are not conducive of what is really happening out there.

0%, and there would still be people on this board who worship at the Republicans' feet and would continue to berate this president for the length of his second term -- if 2015 comes and he is still president.

Numbers are facts, and should be compared apples to apples, not using creative accounting. Do you disagree with them?

terrible character assassinations by right-wingnuts, out and out lies (the Republican specialty) that they get their parishoners to believe when all logic is lost.

Jim DeMint, from the beginning, wanted the ACA to be Obama's "Waterloo."

And I would return, in kind, Mr. DeMint's comment by suggesting that his new million-dollar-a-year new salary perhaps may become HIS "Waterloo."
In the long run Obamacare WILL be his Waterloo - ..it is an inevitable disaster. nm

Sorry, but that is very mislead. U.S. joins the community of - advanced nations with national healthcare.

We're not exactly leading on this. We have many decades of experience of many other nations to draw on. And yes, because many on Congress wanted to destroy it from its inception, the current form is very imperfect, but every few months new changes are announced moving it toward what it needs to be. Because there will always be those who fight to destroy it, it'll take years to become what it could have been right from the beginning (how about NO paperwork for the patient, no matter which providers they go to? Sigh.), but it'll get there.

Smart guys in the GOP leadership always understood that once people experienced the great advantages of national healthcare they would never be willing to give it up. The battle to require patients to stand on their own against giant health corporations was lost forever when it passed. Sadly for those who liked that setup, even though they'll still be able to turn to private insurance companies for coverage, the law will require companies to sell it even to people with preexisting conditions. Oh, the loss of freedom!
well, it's - the

same way numbers have always been figured, it's always been creative accounting, so the numbers are better, even though it's creative accounting.

They also just announced more people than ever - gave up... dropped out.. not good. nm

All during his campaign Donald Trump denied the truth of job reports and unemployment statistics.  Now that there is one that is favorable to him, he says it is accurate.  It would be funny if it weren't so sad.  I must say he is taking lying to an entirely new level.  How can Trump supporters believe anything he says? ...

Let's Get Back To Benghazi. Sandy Was A Storm.Oct 30, 2012
As I predicted, Obama (and his sycophants) would LOVE Sandy because it would take Benghazi off the front page.  However newsworthy Sandy might be, it has relatively little relevance to anyone's decision with respect to the coming elections.  Anyone can collect food, and anyone can fly around in Air Force One looking like the big cheese after a natural disaster.  These things mean absolutely nothing. The Benghazi scandal, on the other hand, is a thumbnail sketch of the genera ...
