That's laughable. - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
I couldn't read the article because I was laughing so hard.

You do know who the KKK are, don't you? Why would they side with ISIS who are KILLING CHRISTIANS???? WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

How and why people believe everything they read is beyond me. I think they need some history lessons. Coming from HuffPo, too, right there makes it a half truth at the very least.

Poof, they're gone - mbmt

[ In Reply To ..]
What happened to the rest of the posts?

I'm cleaning up the board - Moderator

[ In Reply To ..]
Not standing for any vile and offensive posts trying to start an argument.

It was one huge accusatory arguments after that.

Not standing for anyone writing the other group they don't belong to are KKK, ISIS or any other foul group so they can sit back and snicker at the insults they have thrown.

And yes, I know the board is filled with insults from both sides. I am getting rid of ALL insults.
bit of a misread, I think - sm

The post was about one aspect of southern republican districts.
That's not what it said - Mrs. Tingles - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The post stated that the KKK is republican. Highly insulting and highly offensive. Anyone can pick and choose which articles they like the best, but the fact that it's not true and that it looked like it was posted to stir up a hornets nest. There were also other articles that proved it is not true.

Just glad the post is gone.
Are you talking about my article? - mbmt
[ In Reply To ..]
I think there was probably another article I missed but just checking.
I'm talking exactly about what I said in my post - Mrs. Tingles - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't know if it was your post or your article, but I do remember a poster came here trying to insinuate that the republican party is KKK. Then there were people saying the democrat party founded the KKK, then there was no republicans are KKK, no democrats are KKK, no republicans are.

Those are really the kind of posts I hate reading. Always trying to see how inflammatory and accusatory they can be. No worse than the one who was saying republicans are the same as ISIS.

Oh dear. I didn't believe the post stated that at all. - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
Well believe it. - Mrs. Tingles - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The words were that KKK is republican.

That is highly offensive. Do you even know about the KKK and what they do?

If I posted that democrats are part of ISIS that would be highly offensive too.

There are certain things that whether or not someone actually believes it they should not stoop so low as to post it and just keep it to themselves.
Mrs. Tingles, - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Neither the article nor the poster said that KKK is republican. You are wrong.

I'm sure we could find an article that says that MOST liberals are concerned about global warming, or even that MOST liberals see Ferguson as a racial issue. This is not a slur, Mrs. Tingles. This is just ideology and how it breaks down.

It's not about stooping so low until one starts changing the words around to indict others unfairly.
Not wrong. The title of the post can be found in a search, which was - "Modern KKK is mostly Republican" posted
[ In Reply To ..]
And it says exactly what I said it says.

Moderator can confirm this (if she wants).

Oops didn't get the whole title from the search. Here it is. - Mrs. Tingles - sm

Please do not call me a liar when it's in black and white and can be found in a search.
Mr. T, I did not call you a liar - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Kindly stop alleging that I have. I can feel you are wrong; it does not mean I think you're a liar.

Your post asserted quite clearly that the poster said the "KKK is republican." The absence of the word "mostly" makes this quote inaccurate.
Inferring that I am wrong when I am not is the same thing as calling me a liar - Mrs. Tingles - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
When I am sitting here looking at the article and having seen the post that said what I said it did, and the article is on the internet for everyone to see and I write exactly what it said to be told that's not what it says IS calling me a liar.

I did not leave out "mostly". Read my posts. And I did not lie/or am wrong about what the post and article said.

End of story.

With respect to the posts above, I pointed out you were wrong. I did NOT imply you were lying.

Following my remarks, you corrected yourself by posting the precise title. I did NOT imply you were a liar. Kindly stop saying that I did.
Okay, I'll take back the part about you calling me a liar, but - Mrs. Tingles - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I was not wrong. I did include the words mostly when I was quoting what the post said.

"Modern KKK is mostly Republican posted on: 2015-03-03 "
http://general.mtstars.com/406654.html

Either way whether or not someone says mostly or doesn't say mostly does not change anything. They are inferring that the KKK is republican and not democrats. Which is just not true.

I think this subject has been hashed out enough. My apologies for saying you called me a liar.
Thank you, Mrs. Tingles - sm

What ever happened to:

1.OK to post as long as you do not insult the poster.
2. Do not read if you don't like the posting.
3. Get a thicker skin.
I read the post. You were trying to insinutate that - the KKK party is republicans
[ In Reply To ..]
That was HIGHLY offensive. Inform what? That some posts can push the limit of trying to inflame the other side.

Your post was personally offensive. There are times when some discretion is needed. If I accused democrats of being part of ISIS or KKK my post would deserve being removed too.

Freedom of speech is one thing. Trying to accuse others of something so horrendous as that went past the boundaries of being civilized.
I read the post, too. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The post did not in any way insinuate that the KKK is republican. The post shared a paper that examined political attitudes in the south. That's hardly a discussion about republicans.
What part of "Modern KKK is mostly Republican" - is not talking about republicans?
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't care whether or not it had an article or who wrote the article. It was posted for the sole purpose of inflaming a group of posters here by saying their party is the KKK as stated in the subject line.

Defending the indefensible does not make it right. In fact it worsens the severity of what was written.

Nuff said!
"Mostly" not "'all" - seeing Red
[ In Reply To ..]
Apparently you missed that key word.

The poster did not express an opinion but presented a research article from a respected publication.

I note that Democrats/liberals on this board have been compared to Stalin, Hitler, been called Nazis, Commies and Socialists with only opinions to back up these claims.

The reality is, there are many, many groups in the US that exist primarily for political action including the NRA, the AFL/CIO, and the teacher's union.

Since the Republicans on this board took such offense, perhaps they will now no longer condone the continued attacks on Democrats. I for one would not mind if the bar was raised a bit higher, but I would hope that there would be some new posting guidelines that would be applied to all posters and not just pulled out at the convenience of the moderator.

Vox is not a "respected publication" - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
It is only "respected" by liberals when it posts garbage and untruths towards republicans.

I'm sure the moderator will take care of all the attacks. Didn't she says she was working on a project. How about giving her some time.
Attacking the source? - sm

Not attacks, just the truth. People attack Fox News - are you going to defend Fox?
[ In Reply To ..]

"Inform" people of what? - That was not informative
[ In Reply To ..]
It was a hateful piece directed at a group of posters here by trying to associate them with that racist group.

What if I said all democrats belong to this group or that group that does horrendous things, I can bet you would want my post removed.

Getting a thick skin or telling someone not to read a post is one thing, but purposely coming on to inflame posters and then using the excuse, well just don't read it would be like me calling someone the "N" word and then saying, well if you don't like it don't read it.

Conservatives are being reported for lesser offenses than what you posted.

There was nothing "informative" about that post, just pure hate for a group of Americans in this country by trying to associate them with a horrible group. Not anyone's job to "inform" them. Especially of a complete lie.
But of course it's okay to call all Democrats - "commies", right?

Nowhere in my post did I mention republicans except... - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
to say that most KKK chapters are in red states. That is a fact.
That is not true. Your post clearly stated and can be verified - "Modern KKK is mostly Republican"
[ In Reply To ..]
Don't know how many more times this has to be repeated. You are trying to say you were not talking about republicans yet your post and article clearly are talking about republicans.

I've been called a liar, yet when I post the exact title of the post and that it was indeed talking about republicans (i.e. message and article) we are lied to that the article was not talking about republicans.

I don't know how much more simple to make it. When someone posts that KKK are mostly republicans that IS talking about republicans.

End of story!

[ In Reply To ..]
I think you are confused. Islamophobia is the OPPOSITE of siding with ISIS.

The KKK is saying “You can sleep tonight knowing the Klan is awake!” They are promoting Islamophobia. They are not promoting ISIS.

I am sure the local NBC affiliate isn't making this up. Link below.

This is real. They were present in Ferguson also. I SAW them and there were locals making reference to them during the protests. They put out fliers based from a little southwest of St. Louis. They are real.

[ In Reply To ..]
Your post got me interested about what these flyers contained, and I did find an example including a picture and video (see link below). Apparently there were flyers also distributed in a Spokane Valley, Washington neighborhood in mid February 2015.

If anyone is interested in details about what the flyers said or looked like, you may follow the link below for information.

REPEAT: This post is NOT taking anyone's side about this issue, merely posting an example of the flyers.
I was curious about the politcal affiliation - I am against the KKK

Found Something In My PieJan 30, 2012
Last night I purchased a pie from a large chain grocery store that bakes on the premises and whose reputation is very good. I bought it for the others in my house, but decided to taste it this morning after they raved about it. I put my fork around what felt like a large chocolate chunk, put it in my mouth, and it turned out to be a metal frosting decorator tip. I didn't bite it or swallow it, as I was going to let it melt in my mouth to just savor the one bite I was going to indulge in. ...
