I just turned the big 50 and I still believe in Santa!
Seriously... he is the Spirit of Christmas, a hope in a darkened world.
Last Christmas my job sent my paycheck late and I live paycheck to paycheck and my little boy did not get much of a Christmas.
But...
we still have a great Christmas because Santa brought dollar tree items for us both and a little ham. We had each other and our health.
And the job, well that's another story! lols.
I agree! - cute story

There were many years where I had no money for christmas. One year, someone left a box of food and two big black garbage bags of stuff for my daughters on my porch. Never found out who it was. I do the same for others now! And, the best compliment I ever got was from Santa... He said "You have a beautiful smile, dont ever stop doing that."
However, for the OP who asked what age, my daughter asked me in 4th grade and I was honest, but told her that she now has the gift that I have, to give Santa to her younger sister, and never to tell because she will find out soon enough. I helped her to understand that now she gets to give the gift of magic and watch how her eyes light up. I think even though she helped in every way that year, she still believed there was a Santa. :)

I am the youngest of four children. My sister told me when I was in first grade that there was no Santa, but I didn't believe her. Christmas Eve I came downstairs late and saw my dad drinking the milk and eating the cookies I left for Santa!
I was pretty old - 12! I had so many younger siblings, - my parents didnt want me spoiling it for them. nm

My kids, 7 and 9, don't want to keep lying when they ask. - Fessing Up.

Another little girl in the cul-de-sac knows the truth because her "parents don't lie to her." I would like them to believe one more year, but I don't want the other kids making fun of them. They seem upset about it so I think it is time to set the record straight. I like the post by "Cute Story." I will tell them they are receiving a gift responsibility, as well as knowing about the spirit of Santa, loving, giving of gifts and yourself, loving, and sharing, and teaching other younger kids the "spirit."
santa showed up at our house and left a picture - fun

My son, 10 last year was beginning to question, but iwith a 3 year old in the house, I was tired of the questions and doubt. We always go to my husband's family for Christmas Eve. I have some friends who were doing Santa pictures during the month of Dec.so they had the costume. I asked them to help me out and they showed up at my house and puts all the presents out and the wife took a picture of his arms with the hite gloves putting out the presents then printed it on my photo printer and left it sitting uin the tree so when the kids got home they saw that there was nothing under the tree when we left, but their presents were there with the pictures of Santa putting them there . My 11 year old this year tells his friends when they say there is no santa that he has proof. It's so nice to have at least 1 or 2 more years of belief. My kids know that Christmas is more than presents and Santa Claus, but having a child believe for just a while longer helps to retain his innocence.
"Proof" of Santa - - NYMT

When my kids were 3 and 5 we went to a Christmas parade and I took pictures. This was back in the days of film cameras. Something happened and somehow I got double exposures with a) Santa leaning down from the float in the parade, and b) our Christmas tree with our son sitting in front of it. It came out printed looking like Santa was in the living room behind my son without him knowing he was there.
We used those pictures as "proof" for years and years, and now that they are 20 and 22 they still talk about it and how glad they are that happened! They hope to incorporate those pictures into their own family stories when they have kids!

Another Santa QuestionNov 01, 2011The Santa thread below reminded me of an incident when my son was in grade school and about 10 yeas old. A neighbor called me very upset because my son told her son that Santa wasn't real. I apologized to my neighbor and told her I would talk to my son about keeping quiet about Santa. He is my youngest son and at the time Christmas in our house was more about the religous aspect and the family traditions we had established. I really wanted to tell my neighbor that when you lie to your k ...

Found Something In My PieJan 30, 2012Last night I purchased a pie from a large chain grocery store that bakes on the premises and whose reputation is very good. I bought it for the others in my house, but decided to taste it this morning after they raved about it. I put my fork around what felt like a large chocolate chunk, put it in my mouth, and it turned out to be a metal frosting decorator tip. I didn't bite it or swallow it, as I was going to let it melt in my mouth to just savor the one bite I was going to indulge in. ...
My Dog Is Found!!!!!Sep 22, 2011I posted the other day about my dog being gone & was afraid my neighbor might have shot him. Not the case! He is glad to be home, but is sleeping, lots of stick-tights on him and a few cuts, but happy! Thanks for all your thoughts & prayers!!! ...

You Know What I Found The Most Funny Apr 27, 2011about this whole release the long form media blitz press conference stuff....he actually said in the press conference we had more important things to talk about. We have had more important things to talk about since he took the oath of office. And in that same press conference, the only thing he talked about WAS the BC issue, took a couple of shots at the Republicans, answered no questions and left the podium.

Found This Interesting....Oct 25, 2012With such a tight race between Obama and Romney, I got to thinking what would happen if neither candidate got 270 electoral votes.
For anyone who cares...this is what I found:
What happens if no presidential candidate gets 270 Electoral votes?
If no candidate receives a majority of Electoral votes, the House of Representatives elects the President from the 3 Presidential candidates who received the most Electoral votes. Each state delegation has one vote. The Senate would elect the Vice ...

I Have Found A New BeerApr 18, 2013WASHINGTON -- Adolphus Busch IV, heir to the Busch family brewing fortune, resigned his lifetime membership in the National Rifle Association on Thursday, writing in a letter to NRA President David Keene, "I fail to see how the NRA can disregard the overwhelming will of its members who see background checks as reasonable."
The resignation, first reported by KSDK, came a day after the Senate rejected a series of amendments to a gun control bill, including a bipartisan deal to expand background c ...
I Found This PostingSep 05, 2013I found this posting elsewhere and I wonder why nobody has had the courage to state this before, anywhere. I am posting it here to hopefully give some insightful thought into recent occurrences concerning Syria and the United States:
"It's weird how Obama wants to avenge the deaths of a bunch of Muslims in Syria, but not the deaths of OUR people in Benghazi."
This kind of puts perspective on where exactly the loyalties of this current "president" lies... certainly not with the peo ...
Found This InterestingOct 08, 2013In doing some research I came across this website. There is so much bickering here with people claiming its an easy win for their party. Truth be told nobody knows how the elections will turn out. Of course you all want your party to win, but sometimes you have to face reality...nobody knows what the outcome will be (unless of course you know of some dirty deals being made behind closed doors).
So trying to find out with research what it is people are saying. I fou ...

When I was a child growing up in the late 1940s and early 1950s one of my favorite radio programs was the continuing saga of The Lone Ranger. I would huddle next to the radio every night to follow the adventures of the Lone Ranger and his faithful companion, Tonto. Unfortunately, the program aired just about my bed time and, as often as not, my parents would insist that I miss part of the program and keep to the schedule they'd deemed appropriate. One nigh ...
What CNN Found Hidden In ObamacareJan 09, 2013by AWR Hawkins 9 Jan 2013, 12:24 PM PDT
Good news -- it has become known that hidden deep within the massive 2800-page bill called Obamacare there is a Senate Amendment protecting the right to keep and bear arms.
It seems that in their haste to cram socialized medicine down the throats of the American people, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Barack Obama overlooked Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c.
According to reports, that amendment says the government cannot collect " ...

About Obamacare, I Just Found Out In California, SMOct 14, 2013that many of the exchange plans will not have the same doctors as the non-exchange plans. Blue Shield will only offer 50% of the doctors and only 40% of the hospitals as the same non-exchange plans.
I guess you have to sign up for it before you know what's in it. Pun intended.
