With such a tight race between Obama and Romney, I got to thinking what would happen if neither candidate got 270 electoral votes.

For anyone who cares...this is what I found:

What happens if no presidential candidate gets 270 Electoral votes?

If no candidate receives a majority of Electoral votes, the House of Representatives elects the President from the 3 Presidential candidates who received the most Electoral votes. Each state delegation has one vote. The Senate would elect the Vice President from the 2 Vice Presidential candidates with the most Electoral votes. Each Senator would cast one vote for Vice President. If the House of Representatives fails to elect a President by Inauguration Day, the Vice-President Elect serves as acting President until the deadlock is resolved in the House.

....after a quick flashback to hanging chads and a long stall with a mess in the 2000 presidential election and the accompanying frustration.... here are a few tongue-in-cheek (with the exception of the last one) solutions off the top of my addled and tired brain:

a) make these 2 losers (in my eyes) run a 2-mile foot race and award the office to the cardiovascularly fitter one!
b) Award the office to the most popular write-in candidate!
c) the 2 (pansy ass) VP candidates are forced to share the office for 4 years.
d) Ron Paul (had been my choice)
e) Mickey Mouse (who I wrote in last time)
f) farm the office overseas to a language challenged owner of an MTSO!
and ---
g) --IMMEDIATE REVISION OF THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE SYSTEM!!!

I say we just make them - Trigger Happy

go on the TV show Wipeout and make them run those ridiculous courses so we can watch them fall in the mud, get knocked off of stuff, etc. Seems like a logical solution to me and WAY more entertaining. LOL

Romney needs to check the moment's Fox rant, current poll and call his donors before he could decide his strategy, and then he might have to change directions. He would be going around in circles.

So get of your high horse about the "obstructionist" Republicans. Obama is the only president and Harry Reaid the only Senate Majority leader in our lifetimes that have never passed a budget. The last Obama budget did not even receive more than a handful of yes votes from the Democrats. The Democrats obstructed Bush when he was in office. At least the Republicans worked with the Democrats when they were in power. Obama's version of bipartisan is for Republicans to do as he says.

Besides, what the Republicans supposed to do if the disagree with what the Democrats and Obama are doing?

that many of the exchange plans will not have the same doctors as the non-exchange plans. Blue Shield will only offer 50% of the doctors and only 40% of the hospitals as the same non-exchange plans. I have no idea how I got it. Started out as a pimple on my elbow and morphed into something else! Went to urgent care and today got results...it's MRSA staph. The thing is, it's on the way to being cleared up now (after taking Keflex) but doctor said I need to follow up with Infectious Disease! That scares me to death! I know people can die from this. I just found my deceased mother's name on missingmoney and called the state this morning and found out the entire amount is over $4,000. I was her only living child but here is the twist. The surviving spouse would get the money and that was her husband. He remarried a year after her death (1991), left the state where they were living and if he should not be living now, his survivors would get the money, perhaps even the newer wife.
