Jobless Claims Jumped Again. More layoffs

I don't know where this is going to end, but it looks like the big guys have given our jobs away. What happened to that trickle-down success politicians were promising us a few years ago? It isn't working. Politicians on both sides have sold us out, in my opinion. This isn't good, folks.

[ In Reply To ..]I've heard from various sources also, that the jobless rate is actually MUCH higher than reported. Why? Because they are not counting all the people who have given up looking for jobs. So, as bad as it sounds, be aware it's even worse than they're telling us. Sneaky of them, eh??

There are so many people who don't have enough money to put gas in the car to go to job interviews, if they could get interviews in the first place. I mean, people are going without food and losing their homes. I have little sympathy for MTs who are crying because Q/A corrected their work. Get a grip on your job. If you aren't doing well, find out why and do what you need to do. If you aren't getting enough work, it may be because your work isn't as good as you think and they can find others who do it better. Like someone else said better than I can say it, we all need to take responsibility for ourselves and be thankful for what we do have. Plenty of people have nothing these days.

[ In Reply To ..]I've been through 3 layoffs when presidents said the economy was fine. But we all know the economy went through a meltdown (worldwide even) a year ago. Why the surprise that we are still feeling the effects from almost going into a depression?
It is scary, I know. I'm just wondering about the "unbelievable" part. Did you not know how bad things were? Did you think we would rebound from a worldwide economic slump in a matter of months? Did you think businesses would take care of employees first when things turned around?
Just wondering why you are surprised.

He tells us things are better regarding the unemployment status, and actually they are not. The only new jobs you see are "government" jobs being created to hand out yet more of our tax dollars.
What I personally find unbelievable is that anybody believed him in the first place.
