Israel confronts rocket attacks from Gaza, stray shelling from Syria

JERUSALEM — Israel faced the prospect of stepped-up military action on two fronts Monday as rockets fired from Gaza hit southern communities for the third straight day, and the army said it shelled a Syrian artillery battery after a stray shell landed near one of its posts in the Golan Heights.

The attack on the mobile artillery battery was the first time that Israeli forces had engaged Syrian troops across the Golan frontier since the 1973 Middle East war, and it ratcheted up tensions across a cease-fire line that has been quiet for decades.

This does not look good.

If it is, no matter what Obama does, it's not gonna be good. We could support them, but that might mean ground troops (not good) or we could not help them at all (also not good).

Honestly, with the way the world is these days, I can't imagine anyone wanting to be president.

Golan is not an Israeli "Heights" neighborhood or "frontier." - It's an OCCUPIED Syrian territory.

He/she did not use her own words in that story and did not post the whole story.
It was a copy and paste of a few paragraphs and the link so you could read it for yourself.

Evidently, you can't tell the difference between posting part of an article and posting self-written info. Let me give you a hint - when the article starts with a large headline and then the place where the incidents happen, IOW JERUSALEM- that's a big clue that it's part of a newspaper article.

It really doesn't matter where the rocket attack happened. It might be unintentional, but may not. It really depends on how much Syria wants to break the treaty.

My comment addressed incorrect info, not its source. - You're the one who's

What incorrect information? I posted a link to the story. - backwards typist

What I posted was the beginning of the story with the headline copy and pasted. I did not post anything of my own writing except to say this was not good.

So how could I post incorrect info?

Israel Attacks In Gaza---againJun 09, 2015
In a very sad way this reminds me of the older brother smacking the younger brother for the younger touching him first. (TFC) Gaza, Occupied Territories — After weeks of provocation, one of the Palestinian resistance groups launched a solitary rocket into Israeli territory. The attack injured no one. Israel responded by launching a series of attacks from American-made F-16 fighters on military and civilian targets in Gaza. The Israeli Defense Force has stated that it will hold Hamas r ...

I am sad today. I had a stray cat coming to my house every day and I fed him. He had some eye issues, my vet said conjunctivitis. I built him some homes out of Styrofoam, a tote box with soft padding inside, watched for him day and night to be sure he was fed. Some nights I would look out to see him sitting right outside my door. I knew he had belonged to someone because he welcomed affection, petting and the like. I could not let him in not knowing his background because I have 4 inside only ca ...

Pets And Stray Cat QuestionMar 03, 2011
I will try and not make it long, wanted to ask people who have had more experience with this what they think.  There is a neighborhood cat that has been around for a year or so.  Always walking yard to yard trying to catch a bird here or there.  Sweet little thing, never thought much of it as there are are a few cats that wander around.  Anyway...last week we've been having bitter cold temps (around the 10 degrees and below).  One morning we found her curled up on o ...

Moving With Acquired Stray CatMay 23, 2011
My dog died a month ago.  Simultaneously my son and his girlfriend befriended and brought a stray cat into the house.  He's neutered, clipped ear.  I think he may have been plucked off the street by a good person, fixed, and then dropped in this quaint, safe townhome community.  He is a sweet boy and fills the void of having just lost my dog of 10 years.  So, my question is... The cat comes and goes as he pleases.  He stays in the house more than not ...

President Speaking Now On SyriaAug 30, 2013
The unclassified report shows the chemical weapons were used by Assad. He has not made a final decision. He is not  considering any open-ended or military action that involves boots-on-the-ground but will be a limited, narrow act that would help make sure that Syria and others around the world know that using chemical weapons are not acceptable.
