so, of course, they want to attack Syria

All of the attackers have been identified as European Union nationals.  Egyptian passport belonged to victim.  Syrian passport---a plant?

So being worried about ISIS being embedded with the Syrian refugees - coming to America is "right wing"...

I don't know whether to laugh or spit.

When I see something from a "progressive" website - I bypass it.

It is nothing more than radical leftwing propaganda pandering to the "useful idiots" in order to keep them as "useful idiots."

there's the difference...I seek to verify and - research...even Fox news

Can get a fact or two that is worth pursuit.

When I see something from a "conservative" website - I bypass it

It is nothing more than reactionary rightwing conservative propaganda pandering to the "useful idiots" in order to keep them as "useful idiots."

I can never understand why when us lefties ask people to please stop cutting and pasting entire volumes from the Heritage Foundation or nut job Alex Jones or nasty Rush Limbaugh or the many multitudes of Fox News shysters, we get a lecture on "opening our mind" and "make up your own mind," getting new "ideas," etc., yet somehow the above comment is not seen as being the same exact thing.

It is the same thing. And I also refuse to read the rightwing ones, mainly because I happen to believe there is objective truth and rightwing sites and sources are often extremely low percentage with this truth and in fact designed to be misleading and inflammatory.

Look at the difference between Brian Williams and Bill O'Reilly. Both have lied, O'Reilly much more than Williams. Yet Williams is shamed and demoted, O'Reilly still has pride of place on the Fox News dais. Ratings I guess mean he can lie. Or something.

I have said it before and I will say it again, if only EVERY organization calling itself "news" would be forced to tell the truth. If they don't tell the truth they must fess up, apologize, and they don't get away with lying over and over. If they lie too much, they not only have to apologize, how about you don't get to go back on the air until you no longer lie?

I truly believe that these "news" organizations have manipulated a certain segment of the population so they never even look at the network news or any other news but theirs because they promote the idea it has a "liberal bias" - which is odd since all the networks are owned by mega corporations.

I guess we all have the right to not pay attention to those we find abhorrent, but I guess until any of these sites is ever forced to tell the truth, we will just end up canceling each other out.

I agree, it's just a leftist hit piece. - NM

Last Post I'm Making: Syria Chemical Attack Evidence Leaves Doubts In Public OpinionSep 09, 2013
I was looking for this post for a while and finally found it.... Here is why there's a lot of doubt and skepticism (sp) .... ... What's missing from the public record is direct proof, rather than circumstantial evidence, tying this to the regime. The Obama administration, searching for support from a divided Congress and skeptical world leaders, says its own assessment is based mainly on satellite and signals intelligence, including intercepted communications and satellite images in ...

President Speaking Now On SyriaAug 30, 2013
The unclassified report shows the chemical weapons were used by Assad. He has not made a final decision. He is not  considering any open-ended or military action that involves boots-on-the-ground but will be a limited, narrow act that would help make sure that Syria and others around the world know that using chemical weapons are not acceptable. You'll have to look up newspaper reports. I don't know if there's any as of yet.   ...

For why gas is reason for a drawing a "red line," see #4. #3 explains Obama's grim, pragmatic long-term goal for a region way beyond our ability to actually control. (Note that this article, like all the others, does not explain what happened to change our very deliberative White House's announcement of a strike to an announcement of intention to seek Congressional approval. Something that, whatever else, made them decide to set the  strike date back.) Up to Speed: Five Things ...

Hagel Says Syria Has Used Chemical WeaponsApr 25, 2013
Now what will Obama do? Syria crossed the line that Obama drew. President Obama has said the verified use of chemical weapons by the regime would be a "red line" and a "game-changer" for U.S. and international military intervention in the Syrian civil war. Syria has been stockpiling chemical weapons and reports indicate it has sarin, tabun, along with mustard gas and hydrogen cyanide. Syria: Oil Prices Vs Wall StreetAug 29, 2013
That September drop you were expecting for gasoline prices? Don't hold your breath. Currently, gasoline averages $3.55 a gallon nationally, down from $3.63 a month ago. Most analysts had expected a drop to about $3.40 by early fall on seasonal demand slumping following the summer driving season. Not now. Some forecasters predict a short-term spike of up to 10 cents a gallon. Crude oil prices and gas futures are soaring on growing fears that if the U.S. military strikes at Syria for its h ...

Interesting Checking On Syria And Iran Building A Naval StationOct 23, 2012
All the pundits, news bloggers, etc. are making fun of Romney's comment on Iran and Syria. I was curious, so looked up a map of the Syria and the relationship between Syria and Iran. It sits on the Mediterranean Sea. So, no problem with Iran building a naval station in Syria. It gives Iran 2 ways to get to the open ocean and since Iran and Syria are bestest buddies, it makes sense. It would also give Iran and Syria access to missles being able to hit our allies since Iran's missles wo ...
