If you have not read the LAW, please do not start a tirade about something that you know nothing about. Hate-filled jargon that you hear on FOX is crap, a waste of time, and is what got us here in the first place. FYI, I live in a 1-bedroom 700-foot condo my husband and I squeeze ourselves into where we run a small trucking business, trying to eke out a living since I can no longer afford to transcribe at outsourced Indian MT line rate pay. I receive zero dollars from the government, and am simply trying to scratch and crawl my way to full retirement age in 18 months. I make no apologies for looking forward to collecting Social Security since I paid into the system ever since I was 15 years old.

Speaking of age, I'm old enough to have lost everything TWICE, once when my back caved in after transcribing medical reports 24/7/365 trying to support my son as a single parent and again after Bush tanked the economy. I worked for 48 years before leaving MT, have lived many lifetimes in the interim and am still standing tall and proud.

One of the most valuable lessons I learned along the way from achieving my dreams, then losing everything, then achieving them again, then losing them again, was how to be happy and content no matter where I am or what I am going through and regardless of whether or not I have anything so trite as accumulated material wealth or any of its trappings. I learned what a sham that lifestyle can be before being old enough to drive, having been born into a very wealthy family, so I am missing NOTHING in that regard.

For the record, you have no right to question what kind of American I am either. The spit comment is pathetic but makes it abundantly clear that the misery you speak of is all YOURS.

why should I work my butt off to pay for someone else's healthcare. When I could not pay for my own healthcare, I didn't whine for the government to pay it. Benefits are something you earn, if you can, not something guaranteed by this overspending government. Still, I don't worry about my grandchildren paying off the national debt. In 20 years we will be out of so many natural resources just surviving will be a day-to-day struggle and we will ALL (except the 1%) be living third-world lives. Take your healthcare and put it where the sun don't shine.
