From the book "Hell to Pay"

Posted: Mar 6, 2015

I started reading this book about Hillary but got sidetracked and never finished it. I promised myself I would finish it before summer.

What I did learn was she is a lifetime supporter of the PLO, believed in "left is right" and "right is a conspiracy" (sound familiar?), adhered to Saul Alinsky's rules and even interviewed him for her college thesis.

She was a "hippie" protester leading demonstrations against issues and supported the Black Panther Party, forming an association with their lawyer and supported the defense of Bobby Seale, who was indicted for murder.

She also was friends Robert Treuhaft (lawyer for the Communist Party) and Jessica Mitford, another committed Communist/Stalinist, and Robert Borosage who supported Cuba's expansion into Grenada, Angola, and backed Daniel Ortega and the Sandinistas.

That's all the further I got, but this is the Hillary no one seems to know. People should read Dick Morris' book about her since he was part of her team back in the '90s.

Do we really need such a person as nominee for President? Someone who apparently is more of a radical and Communist than a "Democrat" has no place leading the country.

Little known fact: The woman who wrote this book died in a plane crash - sm

when American Airlines Flight 77 was flown into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001.

Not surprisingly: Conspiracy theorists who believe that 9/11 was an "inside job" actually think that American Airlines Flight 77 did not hit the Pentagon and that Barbara Olson and some other passengers on that flight were actually part of the government conspiracy perpetrated by the Bush Administration to justify their preplanned invasions in the Middle East region.

I wish I could say that you can't make this stuff up, but obviously the fact is that anyone can write anything about anybody because there's always somebody who's going to believe anything, no matter how crazy, particularly when it fits their worldview and advances their political ideology.

Okay, why not? Let's talk leadership and nominee material. And, NO, that quote is not in any way meant to be a lewd or suggestive comment; it is merely a quote from the mind of a person that the GOP actually does consider a role model with leadership ability.

I find it extremely amusing that the people who vetted Sarah Palin and in their infinite wisdom find her to be presidential material are not happy with the potential Democratic nominee who has not even announced her candidacy. LOL

Isn't it fortunate to live in a country where majority rules?

People who vetted Sarah Palin did not do so - Truthhurts

just because she was a woman. They backed her because of her truthfulness and what she stood for...backing the laws of this country via the Constitution.

Whereas, the one who has not announced her candidacy yet has a background of deceit, lies, theft, and just downright flaunting the law. The above book is not the only one that gives a history of her nastiness.

Like I said, anyone can write a book. LOL - sm

There's also two sides to every story. The experts of both parties believed that Sarah Palin was chosen for women's votes.

http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-08-29-palinreax_N.htm

I really don't care why the people who vetted her picked her and could actually care less. More importantly to me, the senior adviser of McCain's campaign who vetted her, Steve Schmidt, wrote a book about her that was made into a movie, "Game Change," that he said was very accurate. (see link)

"It was very accurate." Schmidt told the hosts of Morning Joe. "I think for all of us who were in the campaign, it really rang true. It gave you a little bit of PTSD at times. It definitely did for me. But, look, I think it’s a story of when cynicism and idealism collide. When you have to do the things that are necessary to win, to try to get in office to do the great things you want to do for the country and I think it showed a process of vetting that was debilitated by secrecy, that was compartmentalized, that failed, that led to a result that was reckless for the country."

Schmidt told the hosts of Morning Joe that he was part of the team that made the decision in real life, but that conversations in the film did take place back during the race. And ultimately, he said, "I think the notion of Sarah Palin being President of the United States is something that frightens me, frankly. And I played a part in that. And played a part in that because we were fueled by ambition to win."

He also said that he hoped that Palin did not have a future in the Republican Party, as she has not worked to rectify her weaknesses and has become a vengeful personality.

Of course, while many conservatives defend Sarah Palin, and she certainly defends herself in her own book that contradicts what the aides who vetted her say, somebody's account of Sarah Palin is not accurate, obviously, because some disagree with her retelling of it and some of them flat out come out and call her a total liar. They're all conservatives on the same side, but somebody's lying.

Me personally, as well as many Democrats and Republicans, happen to think that Sarah Palin and her ilk are the most divisive and destructive force in the country today and that she's not presidential material. She's always out there making a buck with her books and stirring up trouble and saying stupid stuff, but she's a total nonfactor in the race otherwise.

But, yeah, there are lots of books out there about lots of people. Hillary has been in the public eye for the majority of her life, and there are many books about her. This is not exactly a revelation and has been going on for decades. The selling of books is a very lucrative businesses in this country because they cost little to make and can reap a fortune in profits. Some of them are written to advance a political ideology and to trash a person. Picking and choosing the books that agree with your political ideology is an easy exercise. Anyone can write a book saying anything they want, regardless of how crazy, because people will believe the stupidest crap, and lies and scandal are really big sellers.

anything I read when I was young and naïve. I am ashamed of things that I said in my late teens.

It is so important that the history books are not rewritten to gloss over the reality and truth. How do you reach the people that have been brainwashed by FOX. I cannot believe the hate that is spewed by otherwise nice people.

I didn't realize how brainwashed and one-dimensional I was until someone pointed it out to me. I then began to get my news from many other sources. My eyes are now wide open and I am no longer a democrat. I think the people espousing democratic ideals on this particular board are plants being used for political gain. No one can really believe all that they spew. No one. Especially when laced with all that hatred for anything and especially anyone not willing to take from or be led by the government.

Agree with you 100% - 10,000 likes for your post - sm

I thought liberals reported someone for saying they were brainwashed. Now they are the ones saying conservatives are brainwashed. I guess they must think they are above following rules now that they are having a lot of conservatives posts removed.

Years ago under Clinton's regime I used to watch MSNBC all the time (Olberman, Matthew and Maddox were my favorites. I spoke with a coworker and we were talking polical and I actually believed the spew that those 3 clowns were "brainwashing" their audience with. I also watch CNN too. My friend pointed out that while she respected my opinion she said I was not getting the truth or the whole story. She said I need to think outside my comfort zone and told me to give Fox a try. I did and then I cross checked everything they said. Also cross checked everything the other stations were saying. Realized how brainwashed I had been by them. Never again.

I too got my news from other sources. I listened to Fox for part of it, researched for other parts, and started reading alternative news sources, which is where I found a lot of the truth. I learned never to get my news or ideas on issues from one source alone.

I agree with you totally 100% on the people expousing democratic ideals (which has been taken over by a group nobody wants to admit to) are plants for political gain. I read the board and it astounds me that some actually believe what they post. Especially when they have no facts to back up what they write (or only liberal sources).

It's that kind of hate that I just can't seem to get a handle on why they are like that. That's why I am no longer a democrat (the party of hate, obstruction and injustice for all Americans, except their 1%er buddies).

I was told that people want less moderation. There is nothing in this post that would warrant it being deleted. I'm not going to start deleting posts because someone does not like what certain posters post.

Again, there was nothing in this post to warrant it being removed.

Liberals and conservative, people from other parties or no parties are welcome to post articles, opinions or whatever they want to regarding politics and politicians. That is what this board is for. If I take away one's sides right to voice their opinion then the other side should have equal treatment. Then there would be no posts here.

Please stop reporting posts just because you either don't like the poster or you don't like to hear another persons opinion.

If you know you don't like someone's posts then don't open them and read them or get a thick skin and realize that every poster has the right to post their opinion or anything they want regarding politics.

And if you want to write a post about Rand Paul or any other politician go for it. Everyone has the right to post their opinions (minus harassing name calling of posters here).

I am not going to delete anyone's opinion regarding politicians, policies or whatever else your opinion is. People want less moderation you've got it. I will only delete foul language, harrassment and name calling of posters and violation of the TOS.

But in particular, this poster is not going after posters here and she is not cursing and she has the right to voice her opinion just like everyone else.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

THANK YOU MODERATOR! Sick of the endless whining - by a few on this board

[ In Reply To ..]
that only what their opinion heard. If they hate the different POVs so much, why are they even on here? Makes no sense. Thank you for bringing reason back to this board.

Oh, me too. Sick of it. - nothing to report.

I think it would be more appropriate to address this to the poster directly. Posting this on the board appears to create a pile-on effect that does nothing but incite.

If we don't want posters to incite, I don't think we need to give them a cause celebre to rally around.

We all know that there was a recent meltdown from some on the right who objected to an article. I don't think we need to give anyone a forum for pointing at tattletales from the other side. It just seems kind of funny.

Not taking sides here, but if you look at the board situation with an objective eye - sm

Without judging the validity of the argument one way or the other, there is indeed whining about whining, which in and of itself constitutes whining.

Oh, the irony.

when they call members of congress nazi's, etc.

Fair enough. If you keep your comments directed at government people and issues and don't go after posters here I will not delete your posts.

All I want is the arguing to calm. Disagreement is fine and I think is good because it promotes very good conversations. Name calling and accusations I don't like.

But no, I will not delete your posts. You have the right to voice your opinions here to like everyone else.

Regarding your last sentence, I would think people by now (sm) - LM
