have you looked into an HSA, health savings account? They were actually designed to be more a tax dodge for the physicians than assist for their patients, but that means that after putting money in them, instead of leaving it to dwindle away in a bank, you can roll it over into tax-deferred or even tax-free investments.

One note for anyone who might be interested--Twice my employer has arranged the HSAs with administrators that had things all arranged to suck the depositors like leeches, with fees for everything, including giving them your money to use. I think the interest rate was something like 0.15%, too. Unbelievable. The law DOES allow you to put the money in the bank of your choice. I had to fight the healthcare administration company over that one. The people I talked with literally didn't know.

I don't know the details of it, but my husband is happy with it. He works for a good company with a lot of benefits and stock options. We've sold almost all the stock now to pay for travel (God forbid I get tied down to something practical, like a house!)

Travel's a great investment of a kind too. So you can't - eat the memories. They never need painting. :)

Just a few short years ago I made $20+ per hour, now I don't even want to know, probably $12-15 if I am lucky. So it's not just minimum wage McDonald's workers, in this article it is bank tellers, rather similar to us. Hi I am thinking about becoming a MT but unfortunatly I do have a criminal record. I had gotten into some trouble back in 2008 so now I have a misdemenor assault. It has been hard finding a job, mostly working directly with people but if I do become a MT I would want to work from home to be with my son. Also I was thinking of going though Penn Foster.
