Issa hits brick wall at end of

Posted: Jun 19, 2013

Though his injuries are not life-threatening, it appears the transcript showdown with Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Ranking Member Elijah Cummings left him temporarily stunned into silence with a badly bruised ego.  Rumor has it he is determined to press forward with his quest to lay the IRS pseudoscandal at the White House threshold, despite having been exposed as a highly selective, info leaking cherry-picker who refused to reveal the full content of an official interview that evidently failed to support his politically motivated bogus suppositions.  One can assume his refusal to comment after full disclosure was given can only mean he is preoccupied with formulating his regrouping strategies.

It will be worth the wait to see how he handles the incessant battle cries for accountability now that self-identified conservative republican IRS manager John Shafer has admitted he and another Cincinnati IRS worker targeted Tea Party and Patriot applicants for tax-exempt status for review because they thought those cases potentially could set precedents that may affect future filings by avowed anti-tax groups.

When Shafer was asked if he thought the decision to centralize the screening of TP applications was intended to target the president's political "enemies," he replied it was an attempt to establish consistent guidelines regarding identity issues.  He also stated he had "no reason to believe" that the White House was involved.

Speaking of accountability, maybe Issa is feeling emboldened by the lack of consequences behind the Benghazi expose involving the GOP tampering with email evidence they leaked during that investigation farce, OR by his history of 3-strikes grand theft auto and insurance fraud accusations, arrests and indictments that went essentially unpunished.

Washington DC IRS guidance when processing tax-exempt status applications from avowed anti-tax TP/political posers. Darrell Issa knew this from interviews with 5 different Cincinnati IRS employees he conducted during the investigation. He chose to leak only the heavily edited information he felt would be beneficial to his otherwise unfounded claims and tried to HIDE statements they all made that argued AGAINST his attempts to implicate the White House. Elijah Cummings gave him ample opportunity to release full disclosure on his own. He refused, so it was released for him in the interest of affording the American public the advantage of ALL the investigative findings.

This is not Issa's first rodeo. We have seen the same scenario play out under his watch before, with Fast and Furious and Benghazi. You are right in one regard. You can't make this stuff up. The facts and his history speak for themselves.

PS. Cons media and their audience sure seem to have a hard time learning this one simple lesson. American voters do not appreciate being played for suckers. The truth always comes out in the end regardless of how hard the fringe tries to cover it up or how noisy their protests to the contrary get.

A funny in all this is that most IRS auditors are conservative. - (Like #s, enforcing rules, gov pay/benefits). :) n

How do you know most IRS auditors are conservative. Please post links to back up your claims.

Thanks.

I read the article. No where did it say that - "most IRS auditors are conservative"
[ In Reply To ..]
It said someone told someone else they describe himself as a "conservative republican" (ummm, sure), but the article only described what they are looking for. It didn't say anywhere that most IRS auditors are conservatives.

I've done a lot of searching to find the truth about this. I'm not finding anything to show that most IRS agents are conservatives. More links please.
I think what matters here - sm

within the context of Issa's current mission to discredit the president via abuse of his position on the oversight committee is the fact that THIS Cincinnati IRS agent voluntarily identified himself as a conservative republican during the interview. What matters even more is the attempt to hide this information, an action that certainly leads one to conclude that the chairman has no interest in getting at (much less, publicizing) the truth. Instead, he's simply using the process to prop up his unsupported foregone culpability conclusions and transparent agenda of dragging the White House through the mud. We've seen this time and time again. It's becoming a rather worn-out tactic GOP leaders and supporters use to detract from their abysmal legislative record and ratings since 2009, their leadership and policy deficits and their inability to understand election demographics and dynamics.
So in other words the statment that "most IRS auditors are conservative" - was something the poster made up

Thanks for clarifying.

My post was about bringing the thread back onto the topic and away from your persistent attempts to stray as far away as you can possibly get from the subject of Issa's self-inflicted fall from grace that has, for all intents and purposes, pretty much single-handedly laid his scandal-mongering to waste. I have no interest in helping you dog another poster, just as you have no interest in engaging in direct dialogue about the subject at hand.
I WAS talking about the subject being discussed - The Sarge - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I never strayed away from the topic. The poster wrote "most IRS auditors are conservative". I replied asking for proof and asked "How do you know most IRS auditors are conservative". The poster replied back (condescendingly) "It's pretty easily searchable, but here's some info" and gave a link. I read the link/article and no where in the article did it even state that "most IRS auditors are conservative". So I wrote back explaining that and asked for some proof. Then someone wrote back trying to take the topic off of what I was discussing because they could not admit they were wrong and this whole "line" about "most IRS agents being conservative" was fabricated in their minds (i.e. the poster could not provide any proof). And so I wrote back and said in other words you have no proof.

Your post was not about bringing the thread back to the topic, because that is what I was talking about. I'm seriously trying to get an answer and some proof to back up the allegations of what a poster wrote (that most IRS auditors are conservative). I've been searching and searching. I'd like to know if its true. I'm not attempting anything, do calm down. What I am having (or trying to have) is a conversation about what someone wrote in their post. Either they have proof or they don't.

If you have no proof of the claim that most IRS agents are conservative then its fabricated. If you have proof I'm all ears. If you don't like me having a dialogue about what someone wrote in a post, then tell it to the person who wrote the post. When someone writes something here but cannot back it up with any facts and then doesn't like it when someone talks about it, well then maybe they should not have written something. Or at least put in a disclaimer that nobody is allowed to respond or ask questions.
Not referring to the diversionary topic you are so - determined to pursue.

I will address that once you address my response - The Sarge - sm

You have failed to answer the question and that is to provide proof of what you wrote. That's all I asked for. This was part of the topic being discussed and you brought it up, not me. Can you or cannot you not provide proof of your accusation that "most all IRS auditors are conservative". You said it, not me. So it is part of the topic being discussed in this thread and not "diversionary". Now you don't even want to answer for your accusation, which obviously means you have no proof. Hence, you are posting lies. Please provide proof. That's all I asked for. I never said they were not conservatives, all I asked for was some proof to back up what you stated in your post. I am keeping to the topic being discussed, but now instead of providing proof or discussing the issue you keep evading it stating something about diverting, going off topic, etc. I am not. You just won't admit that you are wrong. If you provide proof I will admit that I am wrong.

All along I have been sticking to the topic you posted and have been respectful in my posts, but you won't back up what you wrote and keep trying to change the subject. Therefore it has to lead us all to believe you lied in your post since you won't provide any proof.

I will address the OPs post by replying to the OP's post.
No you won't since I have no intention of - contributing to

your relentless efforts to dog ANOTHER poster. I am not the one you are stalking. I'm just an offended bystander who's trying to discuss the POLITICAL issues raised in the OP.
Okay to set the records straight and put an end to this - The Sarge - sm

The poster who wrote "most IRS auditors are conservative" wrote a complete ***. She never provided proof/sources/links (the same proof the liberals are screaming at conservatives to provide). So it's hypocrisy at it's finest. I can say anything I want and not provide any proof to back up what I say, but conservatives have to provide proof on every thought they have.

Furthermore because she wouldn't provide any proof and answer a direct question to what she wrote, **********. And instead of admitting she was wrong she kept trying to dodge the question and change the subject.

I'm not "dogging" anyone. It's called a conversation, question and answer. A poster writes something, someone replies, they reply back. Someone asks a question and they answer. When someone asks for some further information they respond back. That's the way it works on message boards. That's not dogging, that's trying to get an answer to a statement someone wrote - where did you find this information. Especially since when I innocently asked where they found the information because I couldn't find it they came back with condescending remarks or "it's pretty easily searchable", yet they would not answer the question or provide me any proof. Not even a suggestion of what they were searching for in Google to find the information. I typed in about 10 or so different phrases and I never found anything close to what she wrote. ***************.

If anyone took the topic off of what the OP wrote it was the poster who wrote that most IRS auditors are conservative.

Looking down through all the posts on the board people are replying to other posters messages and all the replies don't always talk about what the OP's post was. It's called a conservation.

Asking questions is not stalking. If you want stalking I've got some posters names I could give you.

If people don't want anyone to question what they write, then maybe they should write a disclaimer. But asking a question, then when you're give a bogus article that has nothing to do with what they wrote, and asking if they have some more links for you to read, then when they come back in the attack mode and you reply, no, that is neither stalking or dogging.

So thanks for clarifying that the poster who wrote "most IRS auditors are conservative" was ************

Why Is Issa Refusing To Include All Gunrunning OpsJun 24, 2012
