Don't care what they lie about...NO "service" like PP should be funded. I have never gone to PP for any of my needs. I got my mammogram done at a local hospital for a discounted $30 (October's push for women to get them and no insurance at the time)and my family doc always gave me the Rx for birth control pills which cost $10.

Women can go anywhere for the services they provide....which is only REFERRALS to some place else to get mammograms and birth control.

When are women going to wake up and realize this? PP admitted they don't have the mammography machines and I doubt they have a physician on hand to give Rx for birht control. if they are handing out BC pills without a Rx, then they are breaking the law.

how do you know these things? Hearsay? Women go to PP because they are close and convenient and nonjudgmental. The closes hospital could be miles away. I always find it ironic that those who want to deny women health care including birth control are the same ones who vote against government programs to help poor children.

in most states GYN nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who are probably the bulk of the staff at PP, can prescribe RXs and work under the supervision of an MD on staff there. What is wrong with using PP as your primary GYN health clinic? All women do not have a PCP or a prescription plan. They can get their annual GYN checkup, PAP, etc., there and fill their BC RXs like you did at Wal*Mart or at PP who may have an in-house pharmacy, for all you know, just as cheaply as you do. Also, a lot of hospitals around where I live have discounted mammograms for low-income women or those without insurance. How do you know PP doesn't refer their patients to those programs. You should probably do some research of your own to see exactly how PP works before condemning the work they do.
