Tea party and conservatives receiving death threats

Posted: Aug 26, 2010

One of Washington's principal supporters of the Tea Party movement, former GOP Majority Leader Dick Armey's FreedomWorks, has been receiving death threats and profanity-laced phone calls as it gets involved in the fall elections.  The number and intensity have reached such heights that the organization is leaving its downtown location near the FBI and moving to a high-security building near the U.S. Capitol.

"FreedomWorks and Dick Armey receive dozens of threatening and harassing calls and E-mails each day. Many imply violence and use of weapons,"

Full article below - this is just despicable.  People falsely accuse with no proof that the tea party members are violent and racist.

Everybody gets death threats from the other side and even from their own if they dare to be different. There really is nothing new about it, and with the corruption of our government, they probably paid the person that made the death threat. These tactics are not surprising during an election year, but I always question their veracity.

Conspicuously absent are links to the recordings - they claim they have. Also of interest

[ In Reply To ..]
is the bring it on 2nd Amendment bravado and profanity contained in the comments section entry. I agree that false accusations in the absense of real tangible proof is despicable. Guess that is what happens when you try to take blog news sources too seriously.

Yup - just what I expected for replies - anon

I will repeat - D-E-S-P-I-C-A-B-L-E.

What a shame!

P.S. - No it's NOT okay.

So where are those links to the recordings? Or - is it only

[ In Reply To ..]
D-E-S-P-I-C-A-B-L-E when you delude yourself into believing that the abundant proof made available during the spates of death threats, violence, vandalism, arrests, etc. against the dems after HCR do no REALLY exist? In the absence of tangible evidence, you best withdraw gracefully, unless you enjoy making yourself look foolish and revel in your own hypocrisy.

Did you not read my message? I posted a link - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
to an article about the death threats that people in the tea party are receiving and how vicious they are against anyone in the tea party threatening them with violence and use of weapons.

What is despicable is the people who think that's okay because it goes against what you are for political wise. If a democrat/progressive gets the same treatment you get your panties in a bind and start accusing of all conservatives of violence or racism, but when it happens to a conservative/independent your reponse is "so what".

If you are speaking about making oneself look foolish you accomplished that by your reply.

Despicable!

P.S. - Just so you'll be on the boat here, I was not talking about other issues, I was talking about this issue that I posted the link to. Just thought you might want to get with the current event at hand.

Oh yes, I forgot - your hypocrisy is astounding.
A link to a he said she said blog news piece - claiming to possess recordings of
[ In Reply To ..]
threats, yet failing to provide links to the ALLEGED evidence they CLAIM to have received from Freedomworks, who is hosting a Friday evening event in conjunction with Glenn Beck's misguided (as polite of a word as I can find) tpot racism disclaimer rally. Where are the recordings? Conspicuously missing from the article, or did you not read my previous post? In the absense of that TANGIBLE evidence, I am afraid the hypocrisy and foolishness ball is still in your court, especially since your original post complained bitterly about ALLEGED lack of proof (staying on task, as instructed).

PS: If you refuse to accept ample tangible evidence of tpot-on-dem death threats, violence, vandalism, arrests, etcs., why on earth should I or anyone else accept this he-said-she-said BS that appears to be designed to dramatize the upcoming tpot MLK D.C. debaucle? After all, Glenn Beck has built a career around being the ultimate and infamous notorious drama queen of false and unbalanced Faux News network, having earned his status as their beloved conspiracy-theorist-in-chief.
OMG - you did it - congrats - anon

You did it. You once again used the typical buzz words "tpot racisim" Congrats...the progressive/liberals/communists must be so proud of you.

Unfortunately for you there is no proof of that.

But alas...the unsubstantiated, un-documented false accusations will not get them re-elected.

You can say the grass is purple for all I care. Doesn't mean it's true.

Not one iota of a tea party person threatening death.

You know I could say Obama is Chinese...doesn't make it so.

You win the hypocrisy award for the day. Congrats again.
So I take it you still cant find those derned missing links, huh? - Try to stay on task.

is not there (tangible evidence of proof). Ergo, the reader is left to either accept the claim on blind faith or reject the claim outright.

Given the tpots tendency to shirk their own responsibility in numerous episodes of death threats, violence, vandalism, and subsequent arrests and instead to deploy distraction and deflection tactics, I choose rejection outright, as most logical, intelligent, thinking folks would, who have been following this political violence story. You, of course, are free to accept the claim on blind faith and hammer away at anyone who dares to bring up this blaring ommission and comment on it. Good luck with that.

One last thought. When assessing the veracity of potentially bogus claims, one must always consider the source and ask the question of who stands to benefit from such claims. Bringing FreedomWorks (who supposedly supplied Washington Whispers with those recordings, links to which are STILL MIA), and the Beckster into the discussion is right on topic and is a part of the discussion you are obviously VERY reluctant to address. Apparently, you do not know what to do if you cannot keep the focus deflected onto the the big bad dems, so unless and until you are willing to play with a full deck (i.e., talk about both sides of the story), kindly direct your childish admonitions where they belong....back at ya.

On the off chance that you do decide to play ball, might want to ask yourself why Freedomworks fed their bogosity through a 3rd party source (WW) and if they are truly under seige with dozens of daily death threats, why are these links not plastered all over their website? Another question would be when you search the FW site for death threats, why does it come back with a big fat zero hits?

My work (task) is done here. No links. No proof. No proof. No dice.
So you think it's okay that tea party people - anon

you found those missing links, or is this just another "because-I-said-so-THAT'S-why post?" You know something the rest of us don't? Washington Whispers claims to have the recordings yet fails to link them to the article. Have they finally surfaced somewhere? Do tell. And why is there no mention of them on the FreedomWorks website anywhere to be found? After all, they are the ones who supposedly got the threats. Why does a "death threats" search of their site return zero hits? Why, why, why?
You believe then - anon2
[ In Reply To ..]
That only democrats have violence directed toward them, get death threats, have people make jokes about them, get called the "N" work, ONLY democrats. Even when there is no proof of this happening you still believe it. Gosh, talk about living the victims life in la la land.

There are videos of democrats/liberals/progressives calling people they oppose the N word, videos of SAIC thugs pushing tea party members to the ground and beating them up, but you don't want to hear that. You just take the word of the pretend media that it's only happening to democrats. Even when they have no proof, no video, no sound bites, and nobody that can verify their stories. But you just take them at their word for it. However, you have proof, voice files, video, and messages written on the internet wishing for people to die and threats of violence against them and you don't want to believe that. So guess you made up your mind ahead of time that it would never be true.

Well good luck to you in Victims la la land.

Gotta see it for what it is...yes, my task is done here. There is proof, you just don't want to see it. And if you think I'm going to provide you links you can find them for yourself. They are out there because I and others have seen them. It doesn't matter how much proof we provide, in your world you will say it's not credible. I'd say find it for yourself but know you won't even try.

Oh alright...here are just a couple things....

Here's a quote that was on Huffington Post... "Obamaâs critics keep blasting him for Chicago-style politics. So, fine. Channel your inner Al Capone and go gangsta against your foes. Let âem know that if they arenât with you, they are against you, and will pay the price."

CNN published a column by Roland Martin on February 11 with the headline, Time for Obama to go âgangstaâ on GOP.

September, 2008: A videographer at a Tampa, Florida townhall got roughed up by union thugs and had his camera smashed.

October, 2008: McCain-Palin campaign bus coming under gunfire in New Mexico.

October, 2008: the home of a Republican headquarters manager in central Florida was shot up that same week as the shooting of the McCain-Palin bus in New Mexico. McCain supporters in the area woke to find the brake lines on their cars severed, their telephone and cable television lines cut, and political graffiti scratched into automobile paint and scrawled on their homes.

October 1, 2008: Vandals destroy Republican candidate signs, PolitickOr.com

October 6, 2008: Laptop stolen from regional GOP headquarters CNET News

October 8, 2008: Tennessee Man Indicted in Hacking of Palin's E-Mail Account Fox News

October 12, 2008: Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard.

Karen Scrutton said she was asleep inside her home at 7956 S.E. 17th Ave. in the Sellwood neighborhood when she saw her sign go up in flames after 1 a.m.

October 17, 2008: an unprovoked assault by an enraged Democrat against a [female] McCain volunteer in midtown Manhattan: âDefendant grabbed the sign the informant was holding, broke the wood stick that was attached to it, and then struck informant in the face.â(from police report)

October 22, 2008: Minnesota, Senator Coleman campaign: Senator's garage vandalized Associated Press

November, 2008: Black Panther with a billy club threatening voters outside polling place in Philadelphia. Eric Holder let him walk.

Other incidents and video....you can look it up yourself. And if you don't accept these incidents I don't really care. I know you'll come back and claim they are all false and none of it really happened, but I don't care because I live here on earth where both sides are attacking each other. I don't live in Victims la la land where in some sick and perverted mind I think that only one side is being attacked.

Go ahead, flame away...I'm outta here. My task is done.
This entire post was unnecessary since you built it on - false premises of your own making.
[ In Reply To ..]
You might want to notice that in all my posts, I confined my discussion to my skepticism over the claims in the original poster's article where Washington Whispers reported that FreedomWorks had provided them with recordings of these alleged death threats that supposedly had them running so scared, they felt the need move themselves to a "more secure location," a building coincidentally shared with Fox News, among others. I will not repeat here what I have already posted about missing links, missing proof, false claims, drama queens, etc, etc. I presume you can read them yourself if you like, but do try to stick to the subject at hand and refrain from going off into far right field with wild accusations, misconceptions and drawing such delusional conclusions as are found in your current post. It would appear you were simply looking for any reason to assume your soap box and my posts provided you with the trigger you needed.

I never once said what you so erroneously concluded in your haste to ignore the missing links and lack of proof dialog and take this into the (yawn) predictable directions all tpots run in...in this case, that I believe dems never yada, yada, yada, yada, yada yada. If you are so determined to pick a fight over a false premise, I would be more than happy to oblige, but you will have to wait until I am done making money for the day, since I do not have the time to even read, much less respond to this blather at the moment. In the meantime, try to dig up those missing links proving me wrong in my assumption that these death threat claims are bogus. Hasta luego.

It will only help support the case for tpot hypocrisy.

As long as they refuse to acknowledge their own crackpots perpetration of multiple episodes of violence (something like 19 if memory serves), vandalism, death threats, arrests and so forth against dems after HCR reform, let alone apologize, they can expect these kinds of recriminations. They earned them by their own actions, for which they refuse to take responsibility, and are hardly in a position to even think about trying to take the high moral ground here or anywhere else, for that matter.

Hypocrisy and lies, 2 things tpots certainly are intimately familiar with, as we can clearly see by this most recent wingnut whine.

Did they mention to you that using arbitrary attack-dog hatred aimed minorities and anyone who does not tow your party line to cover up your previous leader's utter devastation of the economy, the party's lack of recent accomplishments, their inability to articulate cohesive, believable solutions to problems and their desire to resurrect tired, worn-out, ineffective and downright destructive economic policies is not the way to win the hearts and minds of the voters? Spewing hatred in all directions cannot fix broken campaign political platforms and leadership deficits, no matter how hard you try.

[ In Reply To ..]
Did anyone âeverâ tell you how you look when you assume. Looks like you got the liberal âsham mediaâ line down âarbitrary attack-dog hatred aimed minoritiesâ (whatever that sentence is supposed to mean one can only imagine because it is an incoherent statement, and does not fit with what I wrote. If I were you I wouldnât assume to think you know what party I belong to because you donât know. Just because someone is not a progressive/liberal/communist does not mean they are a republican. There are many other parties, and then of course there are a lot of people who belong to no party. Tsk tsk tskâ¦blows a hole right through what you wrote.

If you are talking about âspewing hatredâ look no further than your own party. Your party crafted that art. The ones who attack without cause, call black people the âNâ word, hire groups to push peaceful citizens to the ground, bite off digits of their hands, call people âstupidâ and âpieces of furnitureâ, push, shove, beat up, have certain groups harass people who want to vote and call them crackers and how âall crackers and cracker babies should dieâ, write messages on the computer for the whole world to see that they wish certain republicans would have been in a plane crash, throw rocks and bricks and shoot at republican headquarters, threaten peaceful people with violence, get up on stage and pull a weiner (temper tantrum screaming and shouting like a child) donât believe people have the right to peacefully assemble. Donât believe that people are supposed to be interested or involved in politics, and just want the criminals to run the country into the ground and nobody is supposed to say anything. You must be so proud of your party.

The party who touts words of tolerance is so far from it. The party who claims the republicans are all hateful, racist, and hypocrites, are themselves the epitome of the word âhateâ, and as the elections get closer and they see their party falling apart the hatred and bitterness and absolutely ugly comments and actions get stronger and stronger. Theyâve gone into a full blown panic (and off the deep end). The evil of that party in some of the representatives is so clear. The same party who were supportive of people demonstrating against Bush and the republicans touting words of death and violence to them are not so tolerant when people are upset with the democrats in the office, and when people want to exercise their constitutional right your party wants them silenced.

I also think its comical that the party who claims that republicans have no new ideas they themselves have no new ideas. Sorry, communism and socialism has been around for many many years. Reinstating the same ideas that were started by progressives back in the depression is nothing new. Your party itself does not have any new ideas (or any ideas for that matter) to help the citizens of this country.

No, my dear, you are so wrong on your accusations of hatred. Thatâs why I donât belong to your party. I try to see the good in people, but I can also see the bad and evil in certain individuals.

And the reason why I smile and am quite happy is because the elections are just a short ways away. Things are looking up and I couldnât be any more happy â looks like a lot of the criminals will be fired. Couldnât ask for anything more and that gives me hope. Once we get the criminals out and get some decent people in who will work for the good of the country, our country can finally heal its wounds.

Smiles to ya and have a pleasant day.

You disclosed your own party affiliation by the content of your original statement: Some progressives/liberals are pretty despicable. They create trouble and then falsely accuse others without proof. Yes, they are the biggest hypocrites AND racists and they do lie.

The classless cons, tpots, wingnuts and fringers are WAY too self-absorbed in dodging issues and playing the hate card to realize just how transparent they are. On the other hand, independents, centrists, moderates and old school GOP generally are much more civil, do not run and hide from issues, show some degree of maturity regardless of their age, invite two-sided dialog, demonstrate genuine concern for real (as opposed to manufactured) issues, are not allergic to facts, data, statistics, etc., enjoy being intellectually challenged, and strive to understand rather than annihilate those holding opposing views. Clearly, you are not one of them.

I find your failed attempt to disclaim your own party affiliation extremely intriguing. Maybe you just are one of those closet repugs who has not worked up enough courage to come out. I don't blame you for not wanting to declare your membership status out loud and if it would make you feel any more superior, we can pretend you have no party affiliation.

In any case, next time try the denial on someone who is not a retiree on social security for 3 years...someone more on the lines of, say, perhaps one-quarter my age (assume much, do we?). A high school sophomore might be more your speed and certainly would possess that crucial gullibility factor your lame argument mandates. I would also suggest you refrain from using the following references and worn-out buzz lest you undermine your own case:

1. Liberal sham media.
2. Progressive/liberal/communist (as if they are one in the same).
3. Nattering on and on and on and on about how the repugs, cons, tpots and fringers opposition parties crafted the art of hatred, all the while exhibiting that universal wingnut trait of hatred personified.
4. Repeating, plagarizing, parroting and otherwise mirroring the common run-of-the-mill wingnut rhetoric that proliferates the blogosphere and can be easily retrieved by conducting a 30-second Goggle search that brings up millions of hits, should the need arise.
5. Using the appeal to the lowest common denominator approach when hurling those dim/lib/progressive/socialist/communist/pinko insults...a dead giveaway, dear.
6. Spouting off the latest wingnut conspiracy theories.
7. Deploying dime-a-dozen rants compiled or directly lifted from the comments sections of wingnut websites. Again, transparent as the day is long.
8. Assuming that rhetorical bully tactics (zzzzzzzzzzzzz) can somehow scare your target into submission (when pigs fly) or in any way advance your argument, except to support the obvious conclusion that you possess zero veracity or creativity.
9. Fooling yourself into believing you can blow a hole in anything other than maybe a 99-cent store hot air balloon.

Now, how about getting back with us once you find those missing links or anything at all tangible that can support these BOGUS claims from Washington Whispers and FreedomWorks? After all, sugar plum, that IS the subject of the thread, isn't it? Better still, go back through the post and try answering all those questions that so far remain ignored. Not to worry if you fail in this mission. No one really expects you to be able to prove something that obviously Did. Not. Happen.
Your assumptions are overwhelming - anon - see message
[ In Reply To ..]
You cut and pasted what I wrote in my message - good for you...The problem with your little theory is that it does not disclose any party or no party, and your assumptions are overwhelming. You do realize that there is:

Democrat, Republican, Independent, Green, Libertarian, or No party.

We all know the democrat party has been taken over by the progressives/communists. It is not the democrat party from the olden days. I have voted for people in both parties. Kennedy, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton (Clinton's first term of course, wasn't that stupid to vote for him a second time). As an adult I also woke up to the fact that if I don't like any of the candidates I don't have to vote at all or can write anyone's name in that I want (I actually wrote in Clint Eastwoodâs name instead of Clinton the second time). I did like Lieberman, but I couldn't stand Gore. I also like Kucinich and I also liked Tancredo. Couldnât stand McCain, but I did like Paul. And just because I believe the people who attend the tea parties and voice their distrust/disappointment in the people who are supposed to represent them but are not and only representing their own personal power and wealth, have the right to be there and voice their opinion, does not mean I belong to the tea party movement or the republican party. My support for candidates depend on their voting record and what they have done in their political lives. I do not like what the progressives/communists have done to the democrat party as equally as I don't like what the neocons have done to the republican party, hence I am in neither.

I am actually a mix of libertarian and green party. Iâm not a republican or democrat because they are one in the same party (youâd be surprised what you learn when you start delving into the meat of the parties). I very much agree with the part in the libertarians preamble that states:

"We defend each person's right to engage in any activity that is peaceful and honest, and welcome the diversity that freedom brings. The world we seek to build is one where individuals are free to follow their own dreams in their own ways, without interference from government or any authoritarian power."

We hold that all individuals have the right to exercise sole dominion over their own lives, and have the right to live in whatever manner they choose, so long as they do not forcibly interfere with the equal right of others to live in whatever manner they choose.

Here's one the democrats/progressives/communists just donât seem to understand:

We support full freedom of expression and oppose government censorship, regulation or control of communications media and technology. We favor the freedom to engage in or abstain from any religious activities that do not violate the rights of others. We oppose government actions which either aid or attack any religion.

Hereâs another the democrats/progressives/communists donât get:

All persons are entitled to keep the fruits of their labor. We support the passage of a "Balanced Budget Amendment" to the U.S. Constitution, provided that the budget is balanced exclusively by cutting expenditures, and not by raising taxes.

I especially like - Personal liberty - Individuals should be free to make choices for themselves and to accept responsibility for the consequences of the choices they make. No individual, group, or government may initiate force against any other individual, group, or government. Our support of an individual's right to make choices in life does not mean that we necessarily approve or disapprove of those choices.

Personal relationships - Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the government's treatment of individuals, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration or military service laws. Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships.

Monopolies and Corporations - We defend the right of individuals to form corporations, cooperatives and other types of companies based on voluntary association. We seek to divest government of all functions that can be provided by non-governmental organizations or private individuals. We oppose government subsidies to business, labor, or any other special interest. Industries should be governed by free markets.

Actually I agree with everything the libertarian party stands for â fascinating reading. There is so so much more than what I wrote.

http://www.lp.org/platform

Then there is the Green Party â

I agree with most of what they say such as:

Every human being deserves a say in the decisions that affect their lives and not be subject to the will of another. Therefore, we will work to increase public participation at every level of government and to ensure that our public representatives are fully accountable to the people who elect them.

Centralization of wealth and power contributes to social and economic injustice, environmental destruction, and militarization. Therefore, we support a restructuring of social, political and economic institutions away from a system which is controlled by and mostly benefits the powerful few, to a democratic, less bureaucratic system. Decision-making should, as much as possible, remain at the individual and local level, while assuring that civil rights are protected for all citizens.

We recognize it is essential to create a vibrant and sustainable economic system, one that can create jobs and provide a decent standard of living for all people while maintaining a healthy ecological balance. A successful economic system will offer meaningful work with dignity, while paying a âliving wageâ which reflects the real value of a personâs work.

Soâ¦with that said your assumptions about what party you think I belong to are so obvious. Your bully tactics wonât work on this poster. And your incoherent ramblings of missing links is just thatâ¦incoherent, since I had no links in my message and the person I replied to had no links and whatever whispers and freedom works thing you are talking about is not what I was talking about or replying to. Maybe you should address your message to whoever posted whatever it is you are talking aboutâ¦sugar plum.

oh yeah....Elections Nov 2010 - woohoo! Get ready for a change we can all believe in and have hope for.

Have a lovely day - sugar plum.

First, a little clean-up is in order. Parts of your post were reproduced to provide examples of the tedious tpot-style rhetoric that you pepper your posts with. I assume an explanation of the concept of example is unnecessary. Theories were not called for in light of the sheer numbers of examples your own post provided. Also, I am aware of at least a couple of dozen active national political parties and an equal number active regional political parties, in addition to the 4 you listed. Might want to do a little research on that before exposing your rather limited awareness of the American political landscape next time.

No wonder you are disavowing mainstream party membership. Libertarians are that elite yet garden variety ultra-right conservative force who think they are a cut above the rest of their wingnut compadres since they support non-interventionist foreign policy and are against war. Tpots and libertarians have much more in common than they have differences. Take Libertarian John Stossel's flight from mainstream media over to Flocks News, birds of a feather being what they are and all. In fact, after the Libertarians first embraced, then rejected the tpots (behavior that has been mirrored by tpots), they have come to be fiercely competitive with them, the general consensus among them being that the tpots stole their thunder/movement! Yes, indeed, it is all beginning to make perfect sense. Therefore, I stand by my wingnut observations.

Thank you for bringing Dennis Kucinich into the conversation, a perfect example to use in deconstructing your fault-ridden democrats/progressives/communists-are-one-in-the-same theory. They don't come more liberal and progressive than Dennis Kucinich, who runs and wins on the democratic ticket, yet sues his own party for requiring loyalty oaths when running for president. I was active in organizing his fund raisers and appearances in both 2004 and 2008 in Austin, San Antonio and Houston, part of my own invaluable experiences while "delving into politics" over the past 45 years. He is one-of-a-kind, to be sure, having garnered a 9.73 percent conservative rating from the ACU while simultaneously receiving a 95 percent liberal rating from the ADA. Interesting, since Kucinich considers himself to be mainstream democrat, demonstrated rather handily when he went against his own personal beliefs and voted for HCR which he did not believe went far enough. Correct me if I am wrong, here, but evidently, your own labels did not apply to Kucinich, or did they? I am confused.

Whatever the case, the libertarian connection by your own admission just about closes my case on your tpot-wingnut affiliations, whether your sense of superiority and specialness will allow you to see it or not. Garden variety con, through-and-through.

PS: To solve your inability to grock the missing links references, try re-reading the original post and the first couple of replies. It is called staying on task. Hint: Article makes bogus claims and omits links to proof they claim they have. In other words, I keep harkening back to the subject of the original thread. No surprise that concept remains far beyond your reach.

Why Are The Russian Threats Of Nuclear War Receiving So LittleOct 14, 2016
It might be that Putin is bluffing, of course, but if so it would seem very foolish on his part if he had to back down - and I don't think he'd paint himself into that kind of a corner. He's not a fool. Even so, it still shouldn't be a back-page story IMHO, because this goes along with the polls showing that the Russian populace has been "educated" by their government to believe that the United States is their greatest enemy. We haven't had this kind of overt ...

Media Ignores Dozens of Post-Debate Death Threats Against Romney --by Nick Nolte Man alive, can you imagine the media reaction if in 2008 Obama was this close to winning the presidency and dozens of citizens made public death threats against him? Between the tweets collected at Twitchy and Info Wars, the Secret Service will have plenty to keep them busy for the next few weeks. But the media has shown no interest whatsoever in what is a legitimate story. The corrupt media's ignoring ...

Don't even try to tell me this is acceptable behavior or that the everyday people of Wisconsin support this. Electoral College Death Threats Won’t Be The Last Bid To Overturn The ElectionDec 16, 2016
The Electoral College is due to meet Monday, when the electors chosen on Nov. 8 will establish Donald Trump as the winner. Then Democrats’ efforts to steal the election will finally come to an end — right? Don’t bet on it. So bitter are American liberals that they may go down as the sorest losers since the invention of democracy. They’re apt to try anything to overturn voters’ decision. Certainly Election Day didn’t stop them, even though the Electoral College outcome was unamb ...
