I was shopping at Target recently and a clerk told me about the Target debit card where you automatically get 5% off on purchases. I jumped on it, filled out an application, and now I'm a serious nervous wreck when I think about all the information I gave up, which was everything - name, address, phone number, social security number, driver's license and bank account number. What an idiot! I regret it a thousand times over now. I'm so paranoid about identify theft, I can' ...

I knew better from listening to Clark Howard, that it is risky to use debit cards online and in places like gas stations. My checking account got hacked, 1500 dollars worth of charges. I know it was from using the debit card online. I won't know until Monday if the charges actually will go through, they are pending.
