Gosnell update--judge dismisses NINE charges.

I have to say that I know we are all innocent until proven guilty, but I hope this guy goes DOWN in a big way, despite the fact that so many charges against him have been dropped.

The other 6 charges dropped were against his codefendant, Eileen O'Neill. He is still being tried on 4 charges of 1st degree murder of infants, and 1 charge of 3rd degree murder of an adult female.

5 charge of corpse abuse were dropped as well - sm

I would love to know why, as it certainly does not comport with any known standard of science or medicine to sever and store the feet of infants.

Either I am going crazy, or the article is different now. It said 9 before, and it was shorter than it is now.

Perhaps I should have had another cup of coffee?

ETA--Ah, I just read the comments, and someone else mentioned 9 too. They changed it and didn't make a notation that the article had been edited. :/

It originally claimed 9 charges were dropped. I don't remember if they were all murder charges or others as well. I read the article before I posted it, not just the caption under the photo (which says 3, by the way). Also, the photo is different. It was originally of Gosnell.

One of the comments on the article mentions the original number of 9, too.

"you read it wrong.. The trial is still happening just 9 charges have been dropped due to lack of evidence. READ THE ARTICLE BEFORE YOU COMMENT."

the caption under the photo says: "acquitted on NINE counts, including THREE first-degree murder counts." I saw the remark in the comments section; it looks like it was a fairly easy mistake to make, especially given the way they reported it.
