I hope to hear of a feasible plan to put America back to work without some sort of tax increase to fund this or fund that.

Because of the disastrous effects on the middle class, offshoring will be banned. Companies who don't fully comply by the end of 2014 will be heavily fined, and if not in full compliance within 3 months of said fine, will be shut down permanently.

The IRS and tax-filing will be streamlined and made fair by eliminating all deductions and write-offs, and converting to an across-the-board 10% income tax for ALL those earning $30K or more. Those earning less than $30K will pay a 5% across-the-board tax.

All that extra money the U.S. will be rolling in after applying the new tax format will go to repair our country's infrastructure and support systems. Roads, bridges, museums and libraries, the arts, schools, and the environment.

Our currently corrupt health care industry and insurance industries will be reined in and more closely scrutinized. Shady billing practices that raise insurance costs for everyone will be ferreted out and eliminated. Health care will become a human right, as in other, more-civilized countries. It will no longer only be available to those who can afford the care, the insurance, and the lawyers to ensure that the insurance pays for it.
(Ideally, I'd like to see insurance companies eliminated entirely, by making healthcare affordable, and a human right.)

those who keep saying socialized medicine is communistic, if that is the case, why haven't the other countries who practice it turned communist after all these decades of such medicine and begun pumping out all the fuhrers that seem to apparently go with it, according to the far right? What is the tipping point? Does anyone have that answer? When do Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, and all the rest go into communism after all these years?

It's hard to follow your line of thought because you are all over the place appearing to try and get in some jabs, but it's not making sense.

Yes, there are two ways to become communist

1) revolution or coup, like when Bill Ayers conspired with Soviets to attempt to overthrow the US government or like Castro, when he lined up thousands of innocent people, murdered them, without a trial or a crime, just killed for opposing progressive politics.

2) Incremental Steps- this is what is happening in America. Socialists and communists hi-jacked the democratic party, since all the civil rights laws were changed and unions and trial lawyers were freed, to attack and rape our society, liberals had no cause- Hello Socialism.

Liberals, many of which are just followers of socialists and communists, have no idea they are being manipulated, to follow their leaders who are communists. Liberals have declared war on the foundation of capitalist society, trying to destroy the foundation of capitalism. This is why liberals attack faith, family, patriotism, God, marriage and corporations.

Obama and his legions of followers know that the people would reject socialism and communism if it were presented honestly and objectively. Through long term incremental steps, liberals take us closer and closer to more government control. Government seizing control over health care was a giant step towards communism. Never has the USA had a President who more opposed the spirit and foundation of America, as Obama.

Liberals will say the European socialist countries, are not communist but the big lie is, liberals never stop pushing for communism and total government control. They will never stop demanding for more government control. Today they are socialist but if liberals get their way, these nations will become communist, where all people are slaves to government.

He was on Washington Journal this morning stating that Bill Gates would be paying less and the "dishwasher" would be paying more, so that kinda blows that idea. He likes the tax structure the way it is but wants the rich to pay more.

I seriously think he should change his party to Democrat instead of Independent. He is NOT independent. He is with the democrats 100%.

I tell you this because Bernie Sanders is a Jew from Brooklyn, NY. It is pretty miraculous that he has the trust of 71+% of the electorate in Vermont. And if most dishwashers and Walmart workers paid less taxes, or perhaps none, since they're so far down on the bottom of the pay scale (just like us MTs!), then they could afford the basic necessities, and would likely not need government assistance.

I would like to hear that he is going to order the EUC benefits again. I was on my first Tier of EUC and even had a balance at the end of December, but it stopped for everyone receiving EUC (only). (when state funds are exhausted, the government funds take over in emergencies). I cannot find a job since last year and I can't afford to pay my rent or car insurance or internet anymore. I will lose all my stuff and I don't have enough money to get me by until June (for social security to take effect). I am in a state of anxiety right now. It's freezing outside and I will end up living in somebody's cold basement or back with my controlling ex-boyfriend. I used to be independent. Anyway, even though I do not agree with what president does, I do want him to executive order the EUC benefits, I'm not the only one suffering.

That would be good, wouldn't it? He will be EOing minimum wage hike for some Federal workers - to $10.10.

It's so terrible you are going through this. There are so many more with the same story. I wish the Republicans in Congress would have seen their way to addressing this issue, but unfortunately they feel, as do a lot of Reps on this board that people with EUC put themselves in this unfortunate situation and now should have incentive to go out and really look for a job instead of lollygagging. How sad. I wish you the best.

I think most people that work for the government make a little more than that an hour - so if there are any that are below that, they will get a raise, but the general public won't?
