Well, exactly as I predicted. The more we know about Obama, the more we know about Obamacare, the more we see how he's going to behave during his second term, the more intrusive into our lives he intends to be, the less respect that he displays for the Constitution or its limits on his power, the less we can comprehend how anyone in their right mind would have ever given this slimeball a second bite of the apple.

...and hence the 12-point swing in his approval rating since the election.

But it's too late now, so I'd advise us all to fasten our seatbelts. It's going to be a very bumpy ride.

Unknown what your source of info is, but RealClearPolitics (which actually slants right with their stories) averages all the major polls.

Obama has been in office now for over 4 years. During that time, we had a recession big time which still, in my opinion, is present. More and more companies in small towns are closing - he didn't do jack crap for my retirement. Because of the economy, we had to take ours out to survive the year 2000+ prices with a 1980s paycheck. Obama will go down in history as the absolute WORST president this country has ever had, if we still have a country by the time his term is up. Not looking too good right now.

As can be seen in the above RealClearPolitics info, Quinnipiac has the lowest Obama approval rating out of all the averaged polls and is frequently used as a source by Newsmax, for one, so which direction the bias goes is obvious.

Interestingly, Rasmussen was previously the most rightward biased of the major polls. Perhaps their astonishing inaccuracy during the last election, especially, has led them to a come to Nate Silver moment and they've decided to clean up their act. One can hope.

Rasmussen is badly discredited, VERY bad for business, and - I imagine you're right. nm

I just took a look at Real Clear Politics and noticed that President Obama's job approval rating is overall +3.4 and Gallup has it at +11 for the past couple of days, and more people polled have approved of his job performance than have not for quite some time. If this is the case, and it appears to be, why would people vote for Mitt Romney and deal with the unknown? It strikes me as odd since Romney seems to be somewhat ahead in the polls with the exception of IBD/TIPP. ...
