As Florida dems show up in droves, Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade’s county election supervisor closed down the line for absentee ballots at its Doral office because the lines were “too long.” Spontaneous and sustained “Let us vote” protests ensued. Then they started towing voters’ cars. The Herald reports MDC allegedly thought “only a few” voters would show up, despite the 1,319,615 who have registered. Of those who designated party affiliation, dems outnumber pubs by 200,000 there. They provided only ONE ballot printer, two staffers and 5 booths, resulting in 7-8 hour waits in line. They then had the nerve to lament how “overwhelmed” they were by those who turned out.

In a new wrinkle (at least, one I’ve never heard of before), those who had made APPOINTMENTS to vote were served before those who had not. WHAT? Appointments to vote. What is that? The up side is that, considering how angry they were, some voters may have changed their minds on the spot about who to select, once they experienced the blatant suppression in realtime.

1) It is called early voting not absentee. Absentee you mail in or drop in a box in the voting area.

On voting day there are going to be several precincts open and many places to vote, and not everyone showing up in one area for early voting. These people were just told to go to their precincts on Tues to vote!! I can see these volunteers getting overwhelmed on the last day of early voting with everyone showing up at the last minute - can you!!! I would like to read the article you read as it is all propaganda.

one of your state's local "propaganda" rags, which, I trust, you've heard of before. FYI, absentee ballots were allegedly being accepted on a walk-in basis at the poll location specified in my post. Hence, when massive throngs of people arrived, the ONE ballot printer was every bit of an issue as the measly 5 voter booths. If you look into the issue this morning, you can also catch up on all the latest regarding the brand new law suit against Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, where 18,915 folks showed up to vote on Saturday, believing it was their last day to cast early ballots. Seems these communications "glitches" are occurring all over your state's heavy democratic turn-out counties. Hmmmm, I wonder what that's all about?

This is part of a national disgrace and tragedy. - The vote should be sacred.

If we care so little for our power to guide our nation that we'll allow this kind of bureaucratic subversion, we certainly wouldn't take up arms to save the republic from those who would destroy it.

after a bit of protest, while they stood in line watching their cars get towed from the lot across the street. I caught the tail end of a report earlier this morning saying something about police involvement in "sending voters home" but don't know if it was in FL, OH or what. At least True the Vote didn't have the nerve to show their faces at my heavily democratic precinct poll, even though the group was founded in my city. Still, I have the feeling Tuesday's gonna get real ugly in some places before it's all over.

It iis a federal crime for anyone to either aid someone to enter the country illegally OR TO ASSIST THEM TO REMAIN in the country illegally.
