It can be done. Miami mayor orders city jails to

Posted: Jan 26, 2017

It iis a federal crime for anyone to either aid someone to enter the country illegally OR TO ASSIST THEM TO REMAIN in the country illegally.

I'd like to see criminal charges brought against a few of these scofflaw city officials.  They can join their precious illegals in jail for awhile and then we'll see how much they like that sanctuary policy.

I never in a million years would have thought I'd ever see such brazen lawlessness in this country.   We're not Colombia...or are we?

New York City Mayor Gets ItDec 03, 2014
In his address to the issue he referred to the subject of police and the black population by describing how he has to warn his own son, that while the police are to be respected and they are thankful for them, but specifically as a black youth, he has to be extra careful, moreso than a white teen.  This guy is way beyond Gov Nixon's level, but I suppose the Mayor of New York City should be.   Then he repeated the speech in Spanish.  Good for him.  I hope they keep it u ...

Oakland's Deputy Mayor Cornu And Dan Siegel, Legal Advisor To MayorNov 14, 2011
How refreshing to see gutsy city officials follow their conscience.  (Reuters) - A top adviser to Oakland Mayor Jean Quan resigned on Monday over the city's handling of anti-Wall Street demonstrations, describing a morning raid to clear a downtown protest camp as a mistake that could trigger more volatility. Civil rights attorney Dan Siegel told Reuters he resigned at 2 a.m., hours before the raid on the Occupy Oakland encampment, after insisting that police should protect, not disma ...

As Florida Dems Show Up In Droves, Miami-Dade Nov 04, 2012
Miami-Dade’s county election supervisor closed down the line for absentee ballots at its Doral office because the lines were “too long.”  Spontaneous and sustained “Let us vote” protests ensued.  Then they started towing voters’ cars.  The Herald reports MDC allegedly thought “only a few” voters would show up, despite the 1,319,615 who have registered.  Of those who designated party affiliation, dems outnumber pubs by 200,000 th ...

Houston's New MayorDec 13, 2009
Houston has become the largest US city to elect an openly gay mayor.  The new mayor did not make a secret or an issue of her orientation, but people working in her opponent's campaign did and I think it backfired on them.  It would be nice to think that the age of smear campaigns is over, but I won't be that naive. It is heartening to see such fail, though. Yay Houston for electing on the issues and not on scare tactics. NJ ...

Executive OrdersJul 21, 2011
Congress has not been doing their job.  They allow the presidents to have totalitarian power by way of executive orders.  Go into U.S. Congress and read some of them.  They are quite hair-raising.  Not even a sunset clause in some of them.  Washington is lost.  They government that was designed to protect the individual rights is lost.  The Federal Government usurps states' rights and individual rights on a daily basis.  To accuse any one party or any ...

By Stephen Dinan The Washington Times | Monday, February 4, 2013 The former chief of deportations in the Bush administration will testify to Congress on Tuesday that President Obamaâs new nondeportation policies would have let the Sept. 11 hijackers remain in the country even if they had been picked up in the months before their deadly attacks. Executive Orders/TotalitarianJul 23, 2015
We are supposed to be a republic with checks and balances.  Allowing executive orders, places the president in a position of a dictator.  Is that what we really want for our country? Presidents of both parties have had their puppet strings pulled by the powers that be and they have issued executive orders that trample the rights of the individual.  If I hear somebody call us a democracy again, I will scream.  Democracy is mob rule.  A republic is supposed to respect the ...

Chicago Mayor Is Finding Out The Hard Way That The Democratic Base IsFeb 25, 2015
The liberal wing of the Democratic Party can be susceptible to the “moral victory” fallacy, which in its most degraded form considers a righteous loser preferable to a compromised winner. All the same, it’s hard not to interpret Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s Pyrrhic victory on Tuesday as a major win for the party’s economically populist wing. After all, this is Chicago we’re talking about; incumbent mayors expect to be coronated, not subjected to the indignity ...
