A Democrats guide to moving to Canada

Posted: Nov 10, 2016

or deceased Democratic voters who made a pledge that if Trump wins, you would be heading north of the border to escape the horrendous possibility of fewer taxes, less government intervention, and fewer handouts, this guide’s for you. A few tips before you head north. First, if you do keep your promise, bundle up; 22 below zero isn’t uncommon in some cities, but the frostbite scars and missing appendages will make you a living testament to your integrity and show all those people in the lower 57 states you are a person of conviction. Summer isn’t that hot, although highs of 113 degrees have been recorded, but the intense humidity helps you sweat and keeps you more comfortable. Also, watch out for the state bird: it is actually a mosquito. Once you have crossed the highly secure border -- if your paperwork is in order -- great things await you. If you are polygamous, each one of your wives can get welfare, too. Because there is “gun control” you can rest easy, as government statistics show that roughly a third of murders are firearm related. On the down side, another third are stabbings, so you might get carved up like a Thanksgiving turkey, but that’s a small price to pay for not having dangerous guns around for self-defense. If you do find yourself with a steak knife sticking out of your torso, “free” healthcare will be something you can look forward to. ;

This is rich. The same people who are advocating opening up our - borders to illegals are respecting

Canada's laws and carefully following the legal immigration procedures for that country.

If they are so adamant about flouting immigration laws, why don't they try to enter Canada in the same way and see what happens?

Here's a potential bumper sticker...I thought you - were moving to Canada?

[ In Reply To ..]
Did Their Immigration Policies Stop You?

How about a catchy slogan like Make America Great Again, - Move to Canada soon.

How come they don't ever want to move to Mexico? - Why do they want to go to another white

Because Canada is civilized and half of Mexico is run - by a cartel. Saudi Arabia...

The funny doctored picture of Oprah living in Canada on Pinterest. I couldn't stop laughing for like an hour. I still chuckle when I think of it.

Let's not discourage them from leaving. - They are NOT needed here.

I can't wait for them move north or south of the border. They're acting like a bunch of sour grapes. Speaks volumes about their stellar character.

Canadians are stunned, realizing they are now stuck with - Lena Dunham.

Do you suppose that Justin Trudeau will come out today with a speech detailing his plans to build a great wall on Canada’s southern border? He might, but for more than one reason. True, the very liberal PM probably dreaded the idea of having to deal with Donald Trump, but he might also want to stem the tide of hapless, sobbing celebrities who will presumably be flooding toward his immigration offices now that The Donald will be President Donald. Did any of you catch this hot list from the Hill reminding us of all of the people who said they would leave if Hillary lost?

Dozens of celebrities vowed to leave the country if Donald Trump won the White House, saying they’d flee to everywhere from Canada to Jupiter.

The threat is a common one after any election outcome: Canada’s immigration website crashed from heavy traffic as it looked increasingly likely that Trump would win.

But after the real estate mogul clinched the presidency in a stunning victory early Wednesday morning, some of those stars will face questions about making good on their promise.

Let’s see who needs to hit the fashionable luggage store.

Bryan Cranston gave us a “definitely.” Fortunately for him all of that experience in making top quality meth should serve him well in Vancouver. I hear their drug market is really sub-standard.

Trudeau won’t have to worry about making space for Samuel L. Jackson. He declared that he’s going to South Africa. Best of luck, Sam. You can still make movies there and I’ve enjoyed several of yours. Let us know if there are any snakes on your plane.

Cher said she’s “moving to Jupiter.” This could actually be a win-win because I read recently that NASA’s Cassini probe was running out of fuel and would have to be crashed into the gas giant. Perhaps Cher could bring along a couple of jerrycans of unleaded and extend the mission a bit further.

Amy Schumer and Chelsea Handler are both moving, though Schumer is going to Spain. Handler claims to have already bought a home somewhere else but she’s not saying where. Have fun, ladies, but be careful. The real estate market can be a real bear.

But the two biggest names have been saved for last. Miley Cyrus swore she would move, emphasizing the fact that, “I don’t say things I don’t mean.” And of course, Lena Dunham was the most clear of all.

Lena Dunham told Andy Cohen at the Matrix Awards that “I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will. I know a lovely place in Vancouver.” The star and creator of HBO’s “Girls” has been a vocal advocate for Hillary Clinton.

So long Lena. But don’t worry. I think HBO films a lot of their shows in Vancouver anyway.

Sour grapes does not adequately describe the hateful mindset of Liberals. When Liberals don't get what they want, have their own tactics used against, the meltdown on this board is nuclear.

Immaturity - mt

Now look at all the millennials protesting and walking out of school when they don't get their way. Did you see the Republicans do that when Obama was elected? We have more class.
Don't think so... - nicetry
[ In Reply To ..]
Actually I remember the questions about where Obama was born, what his religion truly was, and those are just off the top of my head. I am not a Democrat, but I must say that I'm not too proud to be Republican after reading all of the ugly gloating on this site. I think it would be better to celebrate in a different way than to make fun of and taunt the other side. Kind of juvenile.
at least we were not out rioting when O was elected - R2
[ In Reply To ..]
That would have been (gasp), what? Burning flags, threatening to leave and now beating an elderly man in Chicago for voting for Trump. I hope he does EVERYTHING he promised so all this BS can be shoved down their damned throats.

I actually can't stop smiling. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
The more they whine and cry, the more I smile and actually laugh. They are proving what we have all known since the Whiner-in-Chief took office. They throw temper tantrums because they didn't get their way. They blame others when things don't go their way. Guess mommy didn't teach them about how to deal with adversity. Some schools in Los Angeles are calling in psychologists because the "bad man" got elected and the little snowflakes can't deal with it.
Agree with the three posts above me. When - Liberals do not get their way
[ In Reply To ..]
have their own Alinsky tactics used against them...when Liberals are treated the way they treat others, their heads explode, and the posts on this board are proof of that.

NO ONE was more racist, hateful, arrogant, INCOMPETENT, rude, spiteful, think skinned, (the list is endless) than Obama, even to our allies. But because OLbama was a black the LIbs chose - everything Obama did was A-okay.

Trump is going to drain the swamp, leaving the Liberals no where to live. They are watching the swamp real estate decline in value and they are terrified. Thanks Obama!

It's funny now all of a sudden the left is for limited government. - They liked all the power when Obama was

[ In Reply To ..]
in office, but now they don't want Trump to use it. Maybe they understand why the three branches were given limits on what they can do and how important that is.

I won't hold my breath.

"What's The Conservative Equivalent To 'Moving To Canada?'Nov 09, 2012
From The Atlantic: When Democrats lose elections, a small but audible ratio of them invariably announce their intention to move to Canada, that liberal paradise where healthcare magically costs nothing, everybody is nice to each other, and maple syrup flows freely (although the price of cheese may lead to sticker shock). But when Republicans lose, you almost never hear them grumbling in the same way. Are conservatives simply less prone to melodrama? Or would they just consider it ...

Moving With Acquired Stray CatMay 23, 2011
My dog died a month ago.  Simultaneously my son and his girlfriend befriended and brought a stray cat into the house.  He's neutered, clipped ear.  I think he may have been plucked off the street by a good person, fixed, and then dropped in this quaint, safe townhome community.  He is a sweet boy and fills the void of having just lost my dog of 10 years.  So, my question is... The cat comes and goes as he pleases.  He stays in the house more than not ...

Selling House And Moving After Feb 26, 2017
It looks like I may have to sell the house before I lose it due to lack of income.  It has about 30 grand in equity, in the state it is in (50 with 15 g of work).  But, the task seems to daunting due to my age (59), I am virtually alone, and I have no idea where to move except out of California.  The problem may not be unfamiliar to others in our industry so maybe you can relate.  Though I have no real bills other than the mtg and utilities, I have very little accessible cash ...
