Melania not moving to the

Posted: Nov 20, 2016

What a great 1st lady she will be.  Many 1st ladies have had children and supported their country.  She obviously wants no part of what it involves.  Part-time president, part-time 1st lady, and a cabinet of a gang of thieves.  Can't change stupid I guess.

Melania and their son are staying at Trump Tower because the boy wants to go to his school. They may move over summer vacation.

She is doing this because of their son. The whole thing, before election and the results of the election has kind of upset him. He is only 10 or 11 you know.

Wow 10 or 11? - Kinda like Sasha and Malia were

[ In Reply To ..]
I can see the crucifixion on here if they had "been upset" and stayed behind for their school. What a bunch of hypocrites and whiners. Poor Mikey Pence got his widdle feelings hurt and Daddy has to demand an apology. Blecch.

Just how is it going to impact your life - wherever Barron goes to school?

[ In Reply To ..]
How could it possibly make any kind of difference in your life or anyone's life if Barron Trump finishes the school year in NY or moves to DC? Of all the idiotic things to get upset about. How about getting upset over things that matter, if you differ for instance on taxes, foreign policy, etc., and then spend your time writing to your congress critters instead of just resenting a young boy's desire to finish out the school year with his friends.

What is the point of being so nasty and so petty?

Do you really think that Melanjia Trump, a social icon and party giver par excellance, is going to fail to entertain visiting heads of states properly, especially when she has 3 very stylish and sophisticated daughters in law to give her a hand if needed when her son needs extra mothering?

You mean like increased taxes we have had to pay - to suit the Obama's whims?
[ In Reply To ..]
No, sorry, it won't affect you. The same budget takes care of the security that was in Obama's admin. Wont' be any different. Every president and his family have security. You will not be paying any more.

Nuff said.

that neither Trump is accustomed to the kind of life they will have to live in the White House. Up until now they've been able to do anything they want whenever they want. She may be panicking as the reality of having to deal with being first lady hits her.

What difference does it make - Obamas can do anything they want - whenever they want. - sm

I applaud the new First Lady for putting her child before herself. All the articles I see say she will move once he gets through school. There is nothing that says she has to be in the white house. Besides, President Elect Trump is going to have his hands full trying to fix the mess the leftists got us in. So he's going to be pretty busy. She will attend the important functions a First Lady needs to attend. The rest of the time should not matter where she is. In fact, I know it doesn't matter to a lot, they just want something to grope about.

Besides, since the Obama's were given a pass on everything (and I mean E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G) I'm sure the leftists will do the same for the Trumps. Oh wait a minute...never mind.

If people look back in history the first ladies all had different roles. Some were in the white house, some did things from their homes. None of them ever gave up their homes, so this should not be a problem.

Melania is going to be a wonderful first lady. Feminine, beautiful, intelligent, kind to everyone no matter what party they belong to, giving to others. Something we have not had in...oh about 8 years. The best part is that she will not be using tax payers dollars on clothes shopping and gifts for herself.
Her platform will be anti-bullying. - sm

It would be nice to see the tone of this forum change for the better, but I have a feeling there is just too much hate coming from the left.

On a side note, I witnessed about 2 minutes of the snowflake tirade on the American Music Awards last night before changing the channel. These youngsters don't even know what they're protesting. They have to mock Melania's appearance and accent. What do you suppose would happen if someone mocked Michelle's lips? Yeah, I would like to see the bullying and nastiness go away.
Maybe we could have her talk about this website - The Sarge - sm

when talking about anti-bullying. LOL

I think that is a great platform for a First Lady. So many senseless bullying going on. Why are parents not teaching their kids that bullying is unacceptable. Why does it have to end with the death of a precious child for someone to even say anything. My instincts when reading some of the posts here, especially one that called for them to force their son to move and "suck it up" is that there are people out there who are not good role models for children. I'm particularly thinking of that mother that kicked her son out in the middle of the night while it was dark out with a suitcase because he voted for President Elect Trump at school. Instead of that child being in bed where he should have been with a mother having a real talk with him asking why he voted for him and explaining things to him, she opted to treat her child with cruelty and fear.

I'm looking forward to the wonderful things President and First Lady Trump will do for our country. And his kind family and children too.

It took about 4 pages of weeding out the spiteful sites on the internet (not surprising with Google) to finally come to some real stories about Donald and his marriage told by Donald and his wife. I will read what Donald and his wife say, not the spiteful news that will make up anything.

What happens with Donald's marriage (present or past) does not affect my life on a daily basis. Just like Obama and Michael's didn't.

Wow is all I have to say.

when he was on his innumerable vacations and apology tours, that he could be President from anywhere. Besides, Obama has started a whole new renovation project for the WH which won't be completed for another year. They have probably made such a mess of it, they have to renovate before they're found out. All the weed smoke from Obama and Malia in the air probably ruined the whole place. They will definitely have to fumigate. Who would want to live there after them?

Is motherhood not important to the left? - sm

I think it is admirable that Melania is putting her son first and making him her first priority. Too bad other parents don't do that. They just teach them that everybody wins and then they end up as snowflakes. What have they created (rhetorical)? Thank you, God, for putting Mr. Trump in the White House.

Melania and Barron - I voted for Hillary

[ In Reply To ..]
I see nothing wrong with this. Melania doesn't want to uproot Barron from his school and friends in the middle of the school year. She may be a lot of things, but it sounds like she is a good mother. I've read some of her other comments in regard to being a children's advocate and she sounds sincere. Whatever the rest of you think, she's the parent and doesn't need our approval. It's bad enough the people won't let the election results go (you sound like a bunch of sore losers and whiners) but now you have to start on the children. Get a grip and deal with it. It is what it is and we are all in it together.

Thank you for your insightful post - anon

So good to see someone else moving on. I think both sides need to just move forward with the election. It's over, he's in, that's it. I'd love to see an end to the whining but also the gloating.
You are welcome - I voted for Hillary

I just wish people wouldn't be so quick to judge. Maybe Trump's son is home schooled, maybe he has special needs, maybe he has private tutors. The parents might be concerned about bullying if he's shy, it's none of our business. The same people who criticized Trump's negativity are now equally cruel. If the situation had been reversed and Hillary got elected, we would have had no First Lady and people would be wondering what we were going to do with Bill, and I have to say that scenario was pretty scary. Obama was far from perfect and Michelle and the girls had their faults, they're human after all. It's time to start thinking about how we can come together as a nation. If nothing else, Donald Trump and his family could use some prayers.
I agree with your posts and anon's too - The Sarge - sm

There are hundreds of reasons why the Trumps chose to keep their child in the school he is in and not make him uproot.

Chances are because they've seen the evil in some people who want to go after him and vow to have him (can't say it, it's too horrible to think of), that for their son and Melania's safety that they stay put for now.

I'm sure they will be moving soon. Again, that is a decision that is their own business. But I have to laugh that the fake news media (CNN, MSNBC, etc) is having such a childish tantrum over it. Their choice, their right. None of our business.

President Trump is going to be busy enough fixing the messes the leftists got us in.

Looking forward to President Trump's next 8 years. So far he's picking the right people for the right jobs. I wouldn't have expected anything less after watching The Apprentice. Can't wait to hear more of "your fired". Need to start with the Clinton News Network, MSLSD and all the whiny spiteful commentators who think they are reporters, yet only spew propaganda and lies. The country needs to heal.

If she really wanted to make a decent human being out of him, then toughen him up and make him MOVE, like all the first families did. I was in 13 different schools before I was in high school because of my dad's job.. Spoiling and catering your child is NOT being a good mom or putting your child first...it is just taking the easy way out...oh yea..they are rich and spoiled..so I guess that is what they get to do. Suck it up, buttercup and move your spoiled little rich hiney's into the white house like your supposed to.

President Obama will be a civilian living in DC..apples and oranges. Nice try though. He and his children and wife lived in the WH while he was President.

Maybe if you had not been moved around so much as a child - you would not be so bitter

[ In Reply To ..]
It is a sad thing that your childhood was so hard and unhappy, that you were denied the opportunity to form life long friendships, so that you consider a child as spoiled because his parents do not wish to yank him out of school in the middle of the school year. It is sad that your parents could not find a way to allow you to stay in the same school and I am truly sorry about that, but why would you wish something that is so obviously painful for you to be done to other children, whether they are rich or poor or middle class.

News flash, Melania is a cosmopolitan sophisticated jet setter. She is very skilled at giving dinner parties, cocktail parties, etc.; there will be no degradation in White House social affairs on her watch. Although these functions are traditionally handled by the first lady, technically they are not her responsibility, they are the responsibility of the White House staff.

But Melania, like Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, and all the first ladies who came before her will indeed donate her time and serve as hostess for official White House functions, and will do a perfectly acceptable job as she does with all the other social functions she has hosted over the years; functions attended by foreign dignitaries, politicians, royalty and celebrities from every corner of the world, parties that routinely headline the society pages and magazines.

Melania can handle the planning/details from her home in New York as easily as she could in Washington as we don't rely on the Pony Express anymore for communication.

The first lady and the first family have no constitutionally mandated duties, they do not receive a salary and so, as far as we the people are concerned, they are free to do as they please as long as they do not break laws or needlessly jeopardize the secret service.

The first lady is not required to go to Washington if she does not want to do so, and if she feels it is in the best interests of her young child, she is entirely free to stay home, and it is pretty nervy of you to criticize her for this when it is going to have no impact on your life whatsoever.

So suck it up, buttercup, and get over it.

You said this very well considering the post you replied to. I read the post and thought how can someone be so heartless towards another person all because of political affiliation. If a democrat was elected and their kids wanted to stay in their school they would have supported that.

What you wrote is a very good, well thought out post. You must be a good mother to understand the needs of your children before anything else. Looks like you also know how to talk to them as it shows in this post.

There is no law stating that any family has to movie in with the president. There is no "like you're supposed to". I applaud Donald and Melania for caring about their child over themselves. You don't "make him move". This post is nothing but a cruel and bitter post. Sour grapes because he won.

Was your dad the president of the US. Hmmm...doubt it. Gee, didn't know that keeping your child in a good school where he is doing well is "spoiling and catering". Ha! That's a good one. There is no "easy way out". They want to keep him in his school then that is their right to do.

She will make a very beautiful and gracious First Lady. So far they are making all the right decisions. Looking forward to having such a beautiful and kind-hearted President and First Lady (and the whole family). Finally after 8 long years of dread.

Please post the law that says a first family "is supposed to" move on the first day. - The Sarge - sm

Suck it up you said...is that as in Present Elect Trump won? Ha! Will be nice to be seeing and saying President Trump.

I now have faith that the country is smarter for electing him. I have faith that there are more true Patriots in our country and that is nice to see. This is why I served this soon to be great again country.

Nothing but spite and sour grapes in this post. Now people are going to be getting back what they dished out to us for the last 8 years. What were we told...suck it up? Yeah I remember that.

So I am looking for the law that states a first family has to be there on day 1. I'll wait.
