Has anyone ever received medication from a mail order from Canada? If not is it legal to obtain medication from Canada through mail order?

I've done this a few times, and I had an elderly neighbor who did it exclusively. It was a great $$$ saver for both of us. It was a legitimate pharmacy and required a signed doctor's prescription. Neither of us were asking for controlled substances, however; that may be a different story. These days, the co-pay to see my PCP is so high that my greatest expense is just in seeing him (I avoid it whenever possible...he's not that useful anyway, just pointing and clicking throughout the visit, or he makes me see his PA or NP or receptionist or maintenance engineer or anybody else because his time is at a premium). Medications are a drop in the bucket in comparison.
I have. It was pretty much like - doing a mail

order in the US. Zyrtec went generic there way before it did in the US, so I used to order it from Canada. Never had any problems with it. It was way cheaper that what it was in the US.

Funny this question should come up now. The following will take you to a story that was on the LA news just last night.
You sure you want to buy your meds online? We know all too well how offshoring goes, so can we really be sure where these drugs are coming from?
Make sure you read the info at the very bottom of the article about checking for a legitimate website.
That being said, it is illegal to import any drug requiring a script in the US without having a script for it. I have brought meds back from Mexico for years by just not declaring them on my customs forms at the airport, frankly the airport customs officials don't really seem to check for drugs, but the DEA dogs do! :)
I have a friend who works for a Holistic Doc in Canada and she said she gets around US customs script requirement by putting on the form that it is a nutritional supplement. She has been telling me about a Glucosamine they have in Canada that is a different molecular make-up that what we get in the states and it is supposed to be fantastic. They first made it for animals (race horses in particular) and some guy that was facing back surgery decided if it worked for his horses he would try it. It worked and they now make it in a human formula but it is not approved by the FDA here. Since I may be facing back surgery the whole customs/glucosamine subject came up, which prompted the conversation with her about getting around U.S.customs.
The story on the news somewhat made me change my mind when I found out they were making fake Viagra in Canada with blue lead paint in it.
