'Patriot' hate groups grew by 244% in 2009.

Hatred is getting a lot of press this week as reports of violent harassment against Congressional Democrats continue to surface. It began last weekend with Tea Party activists shouting racist and bigoted comments at House Democrats during the final push for health care reform.

But new research shows the Tea Party may be the nice guys amid soaring numbers of hate groups.

An "astonishing" 363 anti-government or "Patriot" groups appeared in 2009, with the totals going from 149 groups to 512, according to a report released by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

That's a 244 percent increase in one year. Many of the "Patriot" groups are militias. Before 2009, there were 42. Now, there are 127. Hate groups overall stayed at a record high of nearly 1,000 despite the disintegration of one of the largest neo-Nazi groups in the country.

According to the SPLC, a non-profit dedicated to fighting intolerance, the numbers are cause for "grave concern."

All I heard was "Kill the Bill" and "Boooo."

Wait, those must be code words. Now I've just got to find my decoder ring....

There has been video played on TV quite a bit (sm) - Nikki

in the last month or so. I don't see how you could have missed it, but if you did, Google it, and you'll find it.

Posted on this board is also those nasty, threatening teabagger remarks directed at Congressman Stupak, who is staunchly pro-life, calling him a baby killer. The teapot-bots heard that one idiot congressman screamed that at Stupak and ran with it.

Between Sarah Palin's cross-hairs and Boehner's "H_LL, NO, WE WON'T," plus all the tantrums of the teapot-bots, this country is getting ripe for innocent people to be killed, and it ain't coming from the Democrats. This article I posted points that out.  If you can't read this and need pictures, do a Google search.

I watched the 48-second video backwards and forwards, and never heard any racial epithets... - Anon

all they were yelling was "kill the bill" and booing the congressmen as they deliberately walked through the crowd, as if to egg them on, although you claim that's what the pubbies want.

However, it didn't work as the dems had hoped (lol, they even had their cell phones out, ready to start recording when those nasty grandmas and grandpas started spewing racial epithets at them, but alas that moment never came!).

Again, the congressman yelled "IT'S a babykiller," at Stupak, meaning the bill, which is quite different than what you claim he meant (unless you can now read minds, lol!).

And Boehner has a right to be angry at the process through which this bill was passed. It was dirty and ugly, which is what congress has become with Pelosi at the helm.

Well, Obama said he was going to change Washington, and he sure did.

"It ain't coming from the Democrats," I read that and actually laughed. (sm) - anon

The Democrats are absolute angels throughout all of this and everything else, they have never done anything wrong, they only want to do what is best interest of the people, they do not cheat, lie, threaten, accuse, bribe or rob people. No Democrat has ever accused a President of being a Nazi, made death threats to the President or to Republican congressional members or staff, again, they are the political angels walking earth.

OH PLEEEEAAASSEEEEEEEE, I almost made myself sick typing that garbage but that is how your post tries to make them out. They are as guilty for doing things that the pubs are doing right now as the pubs are!!!! Seriously, if you are going to post something about how goody-goody the crats are, try and make it a little more believeable and a lot less nauseating!!!
I agree! It should have a "best read on an empty stomach" warning! - ;)

You missed the point in my post, neither party is innocent. (sm) - anon

This is what that idiot Malloy said:

MIKE MALLOY: It took these filthy Republicans about 48 hours- 72 hours to come up with the "Oh, yeah, well, you know, we're getting bad phone calls too, yes we are."

And then this Boner [sic], this John Boner [sic] standing there. These guys created this. They created this atmosphere. They did it because Limbaugh and Beck told them to. [...]

Well, keep it up boys, just keep it up, um except for one thing: you rat bastards are going to cause another Murrah federal building explosion, you are. And then - what is Beck - maybe at that point Beck will do the honorable thing and blow his brains out.

Maybe at that point, Limbaugh will do the honorable thing and just gobble up enough - enough Viagra that he becomes absolutely rigid and keels over dead.

Maybe then O'Reilly will just drink a vat of that poison he spews out on America every night and choke to death! Because that's what's gonna to happen, that's what they are pushing these right-wing, nut case, fringe, militia jerk-wads to doing!

Talk about hate speak!
I did a search on this guy. He's a nut case. - Backwards Typist

He's worse than the ones he mentioned. I also listened to some of his radio talk shows. Anyone with an opinion different than his gets thrown right off the air.

BTW, the White Rose Society, which was started by some German students and fought against Hitler's takeover in WWII, is a radical group here in the states. They were begging for donations to keep Malloy on the air. They also spew hate.

More and more propaganda - sm

Twist it all you want Nikki, it's not true. Before Stupak was for the bill, the left wingnuts were going crazy and calling him names, also with threatening phone calls to his home and office.

"It's a baby killer" from the congressman is not the same as "baby killer."

Your statement of "getting ripe for innocent people to be killed" is typical for your posts. Always pushing the VIOLENCE button to no end.

The healthcare bill has been passed. Don't you think it is time to move on?
I'm merely reflecting what is happening in the news. (sm) - Nikki
[ In Reply To ..]

In what way is it a "baby killer?"

So I guess you would mind if I post the story about the Christian militia terror group who planned to kill police officers. It's been all over the news today. One of these days, there is going to be a civil war in this country. I'm just keeping track of where the violence starts.

And I'M the one pushing the "violence" button?

Why not mention the arrest of the Muslim Obama supporter who threatened Cantor? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
You claim only want to keep "track of where the violence starts"....but only if it's started by a conservative, I guess.

Funny how all of the articles you post are only critical of the right. But you're not pushing the violence button.

Right.

the last time I was here, and the event hadn't even happened yet, as best I can tell.  Either way, I had no knowledge of it during my last visit to this board.

In any event, it's wrong regardless of who did it to whom.  I hope they can apprehend, try, judge and sentence this person before the militias kill off our entire justice system.

no matter what we give you, you refuse to believe it. You are always quick to accept proof from your rightie cronies, no matter what the source but refuse to even consider anything from a lib. Sometimes you shoot it down so fast that I know d**n well that you did not even read it. You are being ignored because you are not reasonable, rational, logical, and there is no point and you are a waste of time, so you might as well give up asking. You are being ignored.

You obviously haven't been on this forum long enough. The majority of sources provided by conservatives is shot down by the libs.

As far as the racial epithets, there is no proof, because if there was, I would be $10,000 richer today.

Since there was no proof, and mind you the accusation was made that the N word was said 15 times, it is still one BIG LIE perpetrated by the loons on the left.

Have a nice day and feel free to ignore my post too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
