Geez, it's hard to stay away when O does what you all are so against. Thought I'd let y'all know in case you missed it. Funny how O can do things y'all are against and not a word said, but if it was Bush, y'all would have been up in arms and screaming.

So why would they do that? In an effort to avoid yet another showdown with GOP obstructionists at a time when HCR, jobs creation and unemployment benefits extension legislation hangs in the balance.

The vote in the House was 315-97 and it passed in the Senate unanimously. What would you expect him to do with that kind of a floor count?

Libs do not lay everything that is wrong with government at Obama's feet. In this case, the anger is directed toward the very idea of back room GOP porking up of a jobs bill in the first place. Clearly, it does not belong in the bill. I suspect that had the dems not given the GOP their favorite toy, they would have refused to play ball all together...even on a modest, scaled down version of HIRE Act amendments.

Reid felt it necessary to slash the original 85 billion dollars worth of pork produced by GOP special interesst because it had almost completely lost sight of the original purpose of the bill...jobs creation.

This law was enacted in 1994. It was expanded in 2006/2007. For a lot more information, you should look up Chapter 119, title 18 of the U.S. Code.
