I wonder if anyone who is disabled and under age 65 has been able to find Medicare supplemental insurance that is affordable? According to the Medicare site, only 29 states force insurance to accept you for supplemental insurance and I don't live in one of them. What I'm considering is dropping Medicare coverage to get insurance through the Affordable Care Act, but not sure there is anything affordable.
I did have a full policy that's cost was $450 a month, but with government subsidies I only had to pay $91 a month. This was great until they told me it is illegal for me to have insurance plus Medicare if under 65, so I had to cancer the insurance.
Thanks for any suggestions.
