Question about eyeglasses and scratch resistant coating.

In August this past summer, I got new glasses at America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses. Of course, they talked me into all their different lens coating. I got the antiglare and the scratch resistant coaging. Anyway, I see no difference with the antiglare as far as headlights while driving at night, but whatever I can deal with that. However, I've had my glasses four months now and my right lens has all these little scratches right in the center of the lens and it obscures my vision. It's like there is a constant smudge on my glasses. My left lens has a few scratches, but the right lens looks as though I have been cleaning my glasses with sandpaper!

Would you say that the antiscratch coating is not doing it's job? I take very good care of my glasses. They are not thrown around or left lying around. They are on my face constantly until I go to sleep and then they are on the nightstand. Never lying on the lenses!

I'm just wondering if the eyeglass place will fix this for nothing or will they try to tell me I'm out of luck because it's I'm abusing my glasses? The warranting reads like if they judge that I'm not taking care of my glasses like they feel I should, they do not have to fix anything.

I would take them back. I stopped getting the anti-glare, scratch resistant whatever all the other stuff they would try to talk me into. I just kept saying, no I don't want to pay for all that. I don't notice any glare at all. Maybe at first I noticed it but within a couple days I didn't notice anything and would not go back to all the other stuff. This past year was the first time in 6 years I got new glasses. I'm into trifocal and needless to say I can't afford all the extra stuff.

describe. I have had the same pair of glasses now for 3 years, going on year 4 now....they have like no scratches at all. Got them at a local eye doctor's office. They are Crizal lenses. I also have a pair I got at BJs, supposedly antiscratch too. They are my backup pair. Had to wear them for about 2 months as the nose pad fell off my regular pair, the backup pair is now full of scratches...just from my cleaning them. Generally I use my shirt to clean my glasses or maybe a tissue, and my regular pair is fine....my backups from BJs are scratched to bits. I would definitely complain though, take your receipt and point out you paid for scratch resistant coating, etc, and that you either did not get it or it stinks. Good luck.

I have found that whenever I purchase the scratch resistant coating, they scratch more. I would definitely take them back. Most of the time they don't even question what it was that you did to them and will usually replace them if under warranty. However, one thing is that you do not want to specify you have been using your shirt or a regular towel to clean them, or even paper towels for that matter. You do not even want to tell them if you have been using glass cleaner because that is bad for your glasses. You should only be using water and a terry cloth type towel or wet naps that are specifically made for glasses. They can't prove you did anything to those glasses, especially if you didn't. Take them back!

If the government sets an insurance rate you have to pay based upon what you make per year, do they take into account all your other bills, and that sometimes as ICs we don't get any work coming in at times, and then what they set is more than what you can afford (i.e. more money than your paycheck and you still have to pay all your bills). One of my 2yo males has a cyst on the side of his head. I just noticed it this morning, it's about the size of a golfball and underneath his ear. Its not in his mouth. My family and I are selling our house and moving out of state, but our house is going to sell before we actually move, so we have to rent a house for about 6 months. So, I went to look at a house over the weekend and was amazed! For $1300 a month, it was a 3 bedroom house, very old, and a total wreck.
