My family and I are selling our house and moving out of state, but our house is going to sell before we actually move, so we have to rent a house for about 6 months. So, I went to look at a house over the weekend and was amazed! For $1300 a month, it was a 3 bedroom house, very old, and a total wreck. I mean, dirt everywhere (did they ever clean??), cats roaming and the smell! Just amazing what a dump it was, which is a shame because it could be a gorgeous house. So, my quesiton is, how can people show houses and expect people to want to rent them, in this kind of condition?! And for that price.

[ In Reply To ..]Selling a house in todays market is reason enough to celebrate. What is keeping you from moving sooner? There are lots of living arrangements besides forking out $1300/mo for a dump. Sometimes people will share a house with others for a few months to help them out with expenses. Put an ad in the local paper or you could buy an RV and live in a RV park. Sometimes RV parks have rentals as well. Check out all your options.
