Oh dear, my new kitten is missing. Any ideas on how to find her?

Poor kitty. It was storming so bad yesterday evening and we have all day storms predicted for today. Where could she be?

You might want to try posting the info (and a picture, if you have it) on your area's Craigslist. Lots of people read those.

Try closets, under beds, any piles of laundry that you may have, behind furniture, appliances, etc. My cat used to burrow in our stacked clean laundry when he wanted to be left alone. Put fresh food and water out, shake the treat can, anything that will draw her out. If she was accidentally locked in a closet or something, she will eventually become hungry and start to cry. Behind the washer or dryer; behind the refrig; under the sink; inside the stove drawer; inside a boot; sandwiched between pillows; hiding in a rumpled comforter. If you have holes on the underside of your sofa, she might be curled up there.

in the hall/linen closet, or bedroom closet before, or under sofa. Checked cupboards? Little kitty can fit a lot of places. Hopefully she's come out by now...

she used to hide in the closet (no door) in our "drawers" we had in there, one of those metal frame closet things like Closet Maid, with 5 baskets. No clue how she did it but she would squeeze herself in there, freaked us out for a while as we could never find her. Her spots now include under my bed, in my daughter's trundle under her bed or in her upper bunk bed. She is too big for the baskets now so had to find other spots. So presuming you mean she is in the house, keep looking, jingle some food, she should come out eventually if she is able. If you mean she is outside then good luck.

In the cloth underneath our box spring of our bed. It used to be completely intact but she has pulled it down so she can sleep there. I agree with all the other posters - jingle some cat treats, that always works for me when I cannot find my cat. If it is storming really bad there, she could be afraid and hiding because of the thunder. Hope she turns up!

Make sure you check in the dryer as well, on the off chance that it was left open, and be very sure that you leave it shut at all times.

If the cat is outside, I hope she comes back. Put food and water out and hopefully she'll come wandering back. If she's in the house, try opening a can of tuna and see if the smell will bring her to investigate.

You didn't say how old the kitten is, but I'm a big believer in cats being indoor cats. Way too many things can happen to them as they wander around outside on their own. When she comes back, if she's outside, you might give some thought to making her an indoor cat.

We have an 8 y/o dog named Spike who never leaves our 3 acres. Ever. He just is a homebody. Lately, a red pit bull female has been coming up in our pasture to see him. work a Sun-Thur schedule and I never get to go to church on Sunday morning. I was wondering what other Christian MTs do for fellowship who have to work on Sundays. I have listened to commentators, lawyers and jurors in Casey Anthony case and I am unable to understand how if a child goes missing and it is not reported this is not abuse. Just wondering what everyone uses as stocking stuffers besides the usual fruits and nuts. I read another post under the DH/SO post about the sweet gifts in a stocking so just thought we could share some tips too.
